The hate is real for this store. So many complaints from product not being available to angry reviews cause someone didn't get hired for a job here, good call on managers part cause that person might have been the butt of another review for shitty customer service. Just sayin' I had no issues visiting this place on my way home. Grabbed some burgers and everything I grabbed was fresh; not expired. Cashier staff was superb so clearly the manager is hiring competent people so don't be mad if you go for an interview wearing a red shirt cause you'll just be a walking red flag. I was in there on June 6th around 6pm or so and checked out at the last register with this nasty older cashier woman who was cunning and rude to me and then asked me if I wanted a bag which she charged me 10 cents for & failed to even mention that there was a charge for their stupid flimsy paper bag, these bags aren't even worth a penny number one and two she was so adamant on charging me for the bag and double price no less when those stupid bags are usually 5 cents each at ShopRite and all other stores or should be complimentary everywhere for the money we spend at these places! Did not appreciate her rudeness and her nasty cunning attitude towards me. This is why I always use self checkout at all other stores & this place had none! I don't like dealing with people anymore especially when they are rude & think they own the stores! Will not ever be returning here again! read more

Eh.. Hit or miss.. only show in town unless you drive 10 minutes to shoprite which will definitely save you a little money.. First off it seems like every manager there is so unfriendly to the customers. They have zero personality and just stand around with faces on. On that note the staff is 50 50 . Either very helpful and nice or won't even make eye contact and rude. The store seems clean. The prices seem high. The convenience is what keeps us coming here. Not much variety, limited in what they have. It's either an ordering issue or a resourcing issue. Nobody want to work the cashier stations. They may be open but the associate is off doing something that keeps them off the register. I guess it's on par w the rest of the stores situation read more

Just a disclaimer this is not leveled at the cleanliness of the store or how well stocked (though the bathroom was disgusting and every single thing I needed in terms of basics - water, toilet paper (type and brand I needed) was not there and shelves literally empty. This is directed towards the aesthetic of S&S and all supermarket chains in small town and township areas like it - I literally walked through aisle after aisle after aisle and found little humanly edible food but all commercial chemical garbage and junk from breads/bakery to meats/ fish and everything in between, though you have to peruse carefully and pick out the 1 or 2 things that relatively clean, real human food like maybe some of the produce, canned items (beans), frozen foods, tinned fish, etc. Below is another S&S review I wrote for another location - I am finding all the supermarkets in these small town areas similar but of all of them, I am finding S&S to be the biggest culprit and the worst offender. _____________ Hello, if anyone knows corporate contact for S&S please let me know I would like to write to them. I often am pressed for time and have to run to get food (or to shop) as other options are limited partic on v. short break time I have. Within a couple of weeks of working near this location, my whole body changed, I gained 6 pounds and my metabolism changed. Why? - BECAUSE THE WHOLE BLOODY STORE IS FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT JUNK. Unless you have oodles of time to peruse and carefully pick out the 1 or 2 things with all natural ingredients - everything is commercial artificial chemical GARBAGE - EVERYTHING. They also put these things within easy reach and super cheap - everything incentivizing and persuading ppl to pick these chemical rot that destroys themselves and their bodies. I picked up the 1 or 2 ready made food items that appeared to have a short list of all natural ingredients. I had that a few days running - little did I know, having read fine print, it said - THIS HAS BEEN MADE WITH GENETICALLY MODIFIED MATERIALS. My whole system changed; where I had normal system functioning every day (not to get personal but regular BMs, urinary relieving, etc.) ALL OF SUDDEN all of that stopped. Once I realized and started not buying ANYTHING from them and bringing own lunch, it took 2 days for my system to get back on track. As I work near S&S in 2 different locations, I've seen the people come out. You've never seen anything like it - about 40% of people coming out MORBIDLY SICKENINGLY OBESE with GMO misshapen bodies the like of which mankind has never seen, and I've watched the carts - filled up with literal artificial chemical poison and of course now GMO chemical experiment junk that they've snuck into everything. Even meats looks suspect, I checked out the fish and salmon - surprisingly cheap b/c farmed fish (where they are crowded together in tanks in their own feces) and not wild caught, all offered v. enticingly cheap for people to buy and be poisoned. I've been watching this for a while and am appalled at the aisles of literal chemical junk at S&S - are people blind? Can they not see what is being done to them and how there is a concentrated conspiracy from the world higher up elites to destroy population in numerous ways - food (one of obviously the most vital) being one of them. THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED PRONTO - DO NOT BUY THE JUNK THEY HAVE ON OFFER; I WON'T EVEN GO INTO THEIR BAKERY CAKES AND BAKED GOODS INGREDIENT LIST OF CHEMICAL CONCOTIONS A MILE LONG). Don't buy, shop carefully, ONLY BUY WHAT SAYS NON-GMO ORGANIC WITH THE BUTTERFLY AND NON-GMO SIGN. Organic best but if you can't get that, buy produce that starts with "4" number, "8" is GMO", "9" is organic. If you walk through S&S it's just aisles and aisles and aisles of commercial chemical JUNK and these supermarkets are the ones being placed in all these small towns, hamlets, areas all over the world so that all the corresponding populations are overweight with a myriad of crippling and horrific health problems, mainly from diet but also from air (chemtrails), water (fluoride and other toxins) and of course we won't even go into the current situation with v's. Please READ ALL LABELS, do not buy anything with a paragraph of chemical laundry list, buy organic non-GMO everything if possible and do not cater to the poisons they are selling - SIMPLY DO NOT BUY IT. Went in for a job interview I made with someone by the name of I will not say. I Arrived at the store and asked for her and was told to leave my name and phone number. I explained this person told me to come the next day which was Friday at 4 pm. I said okay. I arrived and told the man at the counter it was she who arranged the time for me to come, he said she was on a conference call. I said I would wait and I sat for 15 minutes then left. I feel she knew I was coming and since she made the appointment she should have postponed her so called conference call for a later time. I felt the behavior was uncalled for. Worst store of the stop and shop chain. Store is always dirty, cashiers are rude and texting in between orders and there is ALWAYS a line. Meats are usually at or near their expiration date so be aware before you buy. Avoid this store if at all possible, unfortunately it's the only shop in town. Take a ride to ShopRite, hannaford, or even price chopper. Can't believe this store is owned by the same company that owns the Monroe stop and shop. Night and day difference.
