What a great store. Cut my grocery bill in half since I started shopping here and then walk over to Red Berry Farms. Everything in this place is organized, clean, healthy, and affordable. You can get just about everything you need here with a few things that you can't like buttermilk. They sell out of the Meat and Fish pretty quickly. $1.50 a dozen eggs, $1.29 for Laughing Cow Cheese equivalent (compared to $3.50 elsewhere), cold cuts are pre-wrapped so they don't go bad quickly, $1.89 for a loaf of rye bread compared to $3.50, chicken broth is $1.10 compared to $3 elsewhere, toilet paper and paper products more than half price. They also have fruit and vegetables and that's probably the only area you need to be a little particular about but they do have organic foods and gluten free products that are delicious and more than half the price less. I made an antipasto platter for under $20 which normally would have cost me $100 by purchasing everything here including prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, salami, parmesan cheese, asiago cheese, and a whole bunch of other things. The presentation was beautiful and my friends were very happy and asked me where I bought all the delicious food and when I told him I bought it at Aldi they said "you're kidding". I'm very happy to shop at this store. I only go to ShopRite for one or two items every now and then. I put more money in my pocket at the end of the month I probably save about 150 to $200 a month. The Aldi store model is from the Germans over 100 years ago. It's been proven to be less expensive than Walmart and Trader Joe's. They do not carry store brand items only their own brand which is why things are so much less expensive but don't let that fool you their brands tastes just as good if not better than the crap that you find in between the Isles at your regular food store. Excellent prices and variety. I get most of my groceries from here. Although I do find that some of the produce from here has a shorter shelf-life than other stores. I get their concept of delivering the best value to the customer, but sourcing from local producers has it's advantages, as well.

Goat cheese pizza. Frozen pizza doesn't get much better than this!

What a great store excellent prices and variety. Only downfall is they need more organic foods plus organic veggie and fruits.

Wright's Farm in Gardiner is exactly that kind of place. Established in 1904, this beautiful family farm offers an incredible selection of fresh produce, delicious baked goods, homemade jams, honey, pickles, breads, plants, and so much more. I was especially impressed by their greenhouse operation, which includes both hydroponic and aquaponic growing systems. They grow fresh lettuce, cucumbers, and strawberries right on the property using innovative growing methods. The farm itself is beautiful, with apple and peach orchards, fields of wildflowers, and plenty of seasonal produce. There's also a great selection of perennial plants for anyone looking to add something new to their garden. And there's even a brewery right on the property, making Wright's Farm more than just a place to pick up groceries. It's a destination to explore, shop, eat, drink, and enjoy the beauty of the Hudson Valley. From the incredible selection of locally produced foods to the beautiful landscape and innovative farming practices, Wright's Farm was definitely a highlight of our visit. Fresh food, local farms, beautiful scenery, and a true Hudson Valley experience. I'm looking forward to coming back.
