Yea!! I don't spend a lot of time in laundromats - not that there's anything wrong with them - but Simpsons feels a cut above: the machines look to be in good repair w/ a choice of sizes for washing or drying priced accordingly. the change machine will dispense $20 worth if that's what you want but smaller bills are also accepted. and wash and fold service is available for the time constrained.

I am fairly shocked at the service I received here. I called them first to see if they are able to…read moreaccommodate a dress alteration (simple shortening of a dress). The woman told me to come in and they would let me know the price, which is understandable as I know all dresses are different. I then proceeded to let her know my timeline and she said OK if it was a simple shortening, it shouldn't be a problem. She told me she left at 5, but they were open till 6:30 and considering the type of alteration I was looking for, it wouldn't be a problem for me to come in anyway. So I drive there, walk in and a gentleman is steaming clothes, didn't even look at me, and asked what I needed. I told him, and still not making eye contact with me, he told me sorry we are booked up until mid September. I proceeded to explain I talked to someone already as I needed the dress sooner than September, and he again, didn't acknowledge me, and just said ok then and proceeded to steam. I was shocked he didn't even give me the time to look at my dress or hear out that I had talked to someone on the phone already, or just simply kindly explain they couldn't do it. Was hoping to find a new alterations shop i could rely on, but it unfortunately will not be here. Just to add, as I am reading other reviews, I agree that the owner gave off the vibe that I was bothering him and he could have cared less that I was a potentially paying customer.

She did an excellent job, and you can barely see where the rip occurred. Dropped off on a Friday, and picked up Monday morning. It only cost $10, which was so reasonable. The water in the machines weren't enough water and I went two weeks ago so they changed the dryers. I spent so many quarters, and my clothes still were not dry. I told the young lady that was in there who was working, she act like she cares but it's just a job to her and I'm not going back anymore thumbs down

I was pleased with them every time. I used them for dry cleaning, spot removal, alterations, & sewing a patch on a book bag. While I no longer get to use them for the convenient drop off / pick up service, I still give them my business. The employees are super nice & still have a quick turnaround time. Their prices are inexpensive, as well. Their onsite seamstress(es) do fantastic work. Their shop is rather small, but does have a fitting room in it for the alterations service. That's a huge plus for me! They're open early during the week, in case you need to drop off / pick up early in the morning.

That said, I consider them an average cleaner. Other than the convenience of the corporate pick-up/drop-off, there was nothing special. The service I experienced was not as good as the cleaners I've used for the past 8-years - considering I never received a notification for when my pick-up was ready, and the tags were inconsistently placed on the garments (I had to search occasion to find tag for removal before wear). The primary reason for trying them was the discount which wasn't anything to speak of (compared to the my home cleaners mentioned previously).

I opted not to get my dresses cleaned as I was trying to keep it budget friendly. There is no way to confirm prices as they aren't listed. When I returned to pick up the items, the same woman said that the overalls were actually $11 and charged me. Since she already cleaned them, there was nothing I could do. But she had looked me in the eye three days before and told me a different price. Essentially, she lied. She examined the pieces beforehand, quoted me a price, and then didn't honor her quote. When I protested, she said other customers she charged $12, but for me, she charged $11, which doesn't make sense bc I saw her one time and I know I'm special and all, but it's not like we hit it off and she wanted to give me a discount. It wasn't that vibe. As for the quality, I have only worn one of the sweaters since and it doesn't seem very clean. It is pressed but it still has a lot of pet hair on it which is why I took it in. Overall, I am very disappointed with my first dry-cleaning experience in NC. Hopefully, I will find a more trustworthy business.
