All of the food that is vegan here is amazing but it'd be nice if those on duty would know what ingredients are in their food when a customer asks. I wanted to buy baklava but the young lady had no idea what they put in it. I know it's normally made with no dairy but wanted to sure that their recipe was no dairy. Came with my coworker for a late lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. They were a little busy (to go orders) when we arrived but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. We tried this place for the first time. It was okay but I think it could be better. We don't have a lot in DeSoto so it's better than nothing. The place needs to be cleaned up a little. The restrooms are really bad. That was a big turn off. The food is definitely the 4 out of 5 stars. Service seemed okay. My husband ordered a gyro with Greek fries and there was something overpowering the entire flavor of the fries. We've had Greek fries before and they are very delicious. These were just heavy on something. Otherwise the food was good! The Greek salad I had was good, kind of small but tasty. Not sure this will be a good go to for me. Food - I got a Shawarma Beef Gyro Sandwich combo. It was very tasty and they give you an entire bedrock of fries. Only con I would say is I would've liked more meat inside the gyro. Other places I been to would stuff the pita bread with meat or make a "wrap". I would've liked like to see this place do the same. Service - I ordered online and picked up. It was ready. We had been getting our Baba Ganoush from a place in Grand Prairie, so that's the first item I ordered here and the next was a Traditional Gyro, of course. The Baba Ganoush was rustic chopped style and smoky, lemony and ever so yummy. It was served with warm pita cut into quarters. They have traditional lamb and beef gyro, chicken and beef schwarma gyro, and falafel gyro; all $7.99. Their pita bread is exceptional; pliable, yet sturdy and flavorful. My husband also ordered a Traditional Gyro and made his gyro a combo for $3.99 extra with Greek Fries. They come with feta, garlic, parsley and paprika; crispy and piping hot! The sandwiches are dressed perfectly with LTO and tzatziki sauce, wrapped in foil. The gyro was delicious! The menu has terrific sides - Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Falafel, Dolmas, Greek Fries, Tabouli, side salad, regular fries and Baklava! And of course there are plates served with a protein, rice, salad, hummus, pita, and sauce. There are variations according to protein. We have been driving miles for casual Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food for decades. It's wonderful to have legitimate gyros and sides and catering locally!! They have simple tables and chairs and serve yourself drinks, condiments and napkins. Everything is served in a to go container. I am taking a star off for the state of the gender neutral restroom. The toilet seat and toilet simply wasn't clean. I know they rely on their customers to behave; but I just can't handle a messy bathroom and I cleaned it to use it. Parking is out front. This was my 2nd time at this restaurant and our first visit was phenomenal. Today was my second visit and I recognized a lack of consistency. I want to say that I have to be mindful that they have a help wanted sign. This place has good food, and the owner is a nice gentleman and his desire is for you to have a great experience. Once the staff catches the same vision and develop the same passion. I can see this place being a gem in DeSoto. Go check it out and be patient as the business is growing. This place is just okay. Really was not a fan of their hummus, tasted very sour, like they use a ton of sour cream in the mix. Instead of strips of gyro meat they use almost ground beef looking meat, which was very flavorful but not what was pictured and not a lot provided. Also, maybe half a teaspoon of tahini or tzatziki on any of the items, except the fries. All in all, I don't know if I would order again. The hummus, honestly, was really bad. This place is so lowkey and deserves to be put on the map!! The food came out so fresh and fast and you could tell it was made with quality ingredients. Our cashier was super nice and answered any questions we had. It's sort of set up deli style but there is plenty of seating and the restaurant is super clean. Looking for a quick lunch place near the house, my wife told me about a new gyro spot. Eight minutes away and are we happy or what? Not much seating but the place is very bright and welcoming. I think they'll do lots of takeout from here. We split two dishes - the gyro sandwich with Greek fries and the hummus with gyro meat. Both were outstanding, and huge portions too! I ordered the Traditional Gyro Combo, my default when ordering at a new Greek spot for the first time. Let me say... the pita bread is amazing! It was soft and fluffy to the touch with a light, airy quality. It was NOT overly dense or tough unlike alot of places. These were definitely Fresh pita, pleasant with a slight sweet aroma and taste. Gyro offer a delightful mix of flavors, savory, warm and juicy. NOT oily as I've notice at other establishments. I will definitely be back. This was a pleasant lunch.
