The food is good here. They're however what I would call consistency issues. This place could be phenomenal, so close. This is my first 4 star review and I don't rate a business if I cant give it 5 stars. But since my last review...Its not the staff, Just rules by ownership that dont make sense. But hey its the only spot in the area and it is good

Came with my coworker for a late lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. They were a little busy (to go orders) when we arrived but we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I ordered the #1 which is the traditional gyro sandwich and made it a combo by adding fries (comes with a drink) - added a side of tzatziki sauce. The sandwich was delicious and fries fresh! I tried my coworker's baklava and enjoyed the nutty sweetness of it. Will definitely return to this spot!

We tried this place for the first time. It was okay but I think it could be better. We don't have a lot in DeSoto so it's better than nothing. The place needs to be cleaned up a little. The restrooms are really bad. That was a big turn off. The food is definitely the 4 out of 5 stars. Service seemed okay. My husband ordered a gyro with Greek fries and there was something overpowering the entire flavor of the fries. We've had Greek fries before and they are very delicious. These were just heavy on something. Otherwise the food was good! The Greek salad I had was good, kind of small but tasty. Not sure this will be a good go to for me. Cleanliness is everything.

Food - I got a Shawarma Beef Gyro Sandwich combo. It was very tasty and they give you an entire bedrock of fries. Only con I would say is I would've liked more meat inside the gyro. Other places I been to would stuff the pita bread with meat or make a "wrap". I would've liked like to see this place do the same. Service - I ordered online and picked up. It was ready. Still hot and fresh by the time I got home. Employee greeted me and promptly gave me my order. No complaints. Ambiance - A small and clean place. Around $14, the combo includes a drink, fried, and the sandwich. Base sandwich is $7.99. I would've definitely go back and order more. Will update the review.

Straightforward, fast casual, dine in or to go here and we are SO happy to see Stop-N-Go Gyros come to Desoto! We had been getting our Baba Ganoush from a place in Grand Prairie, so that's the first item I ordered here and the next was a Traditional Gyro, of course. The Baba Ganoush was rustic chopped style and smoky, lemony and ever so yummy. It was served with warm pita cut into quarters. They have traditional lamb and beef gyro, chicken and beef schwarma gyro, and falafel gyro; all $7.99. Their pita bread is exceptional; pliable, yet sturdy and flavorful. My husband also ordered a Traditional Gyro and made his gyro a combo for $3.99 extra with Greek Fries. They come with feta, garlic, parsley and paprika; crispy and piping hot! The sandwiches are dressed perfectly with LTO and tzatziki sauce, wrapped in foil. The gyro was delicious! The menu has terrific sides - Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Falafel, Dolmas, Greek Fries, Tabouli, side salad, regular fries and Baklava! And of course there are plates served with a protein, rice, salad, hummus, pita, and sauce. There are variations according to protein. We have been driving miles for casual Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food for decades. It's wonderful to have legitimate gyros and sides and catering locally!! They have simple tables and chairs and serve yourself drinks, condiments and napkins. Everything is served in a to go container. I am taking a star off for the state of the gender neutral restroom. The toilet seat and toilet simply wasn't clean. I know they rely on their customers to behave; but I just can't handle a messy bathroom and I cleaned it to use it. Parking is out front. It's a busy lot depending on the time of day. We had no trouble on a Sunday and on Sundays they close at 7 p.m.

I ordered this place for delivery. The food was still very fresh and hot when I received it. The Gyro and Greek fries were so amazing. I got the Traditional Gyro and added the chicken meat and it was phenomenal. Again I ordered delivery so I'm not sure if the service and atmosphere. Will order again!

This place is so lowkey and deserves to be put on the map!! The food came out so fresh and fast and you could tell it was made with quality ingredients. Our cashier was super nice and answered any questions we had. It's sort of set up deli style but there is plenty of seating and the restaurant is super clean. Definitely want to go again and try a bowl. I sldo got to try the viral dubai chocolate and baklava.

Looking for a quick lunch place near the house, my wife told me about a new gyro spot. Eight minutes away and are we happy or what? Not much seating but the place is very bright and welcoming. I think they'll do lots of takeout from here. We split two dishes - the gyro sandwich with Greek fries and the hummus with gyro meat. Both were outstanding, and huge portions too! We basically got four meals out of this stop, and will definitely be back for more. On top of that, we got to join in on their ribbon cutting celebration!

I got the Greek fries it was less than $11 I didn't get no drink

Vivian Howard of North Carolina, Chef, Restaurateur and teacher to hopeful home cooks with her current show on PBS, "Kitchen Curious" cites Bojangles as the source of her inspiration for dirty rice, wanting to recreate that specific flavor profile at home. Yes, Bojangles. She even went through their drive thru on the show where she makes her own version of dirty rice. So I finally went to the Bojangles near me in Lancaster one evening. We stopped in and marveled at the many biscuit combinations on the menu. I will say that reading through the reviews on our way there was weird though. There are apparently "legacy" Bojangles out East that serve bone in Chicken and more selections of sides or "fix ins." This caused consternation after this Lancaster franchise opened and they didn't have bone in chicken. It seemed to affect customer perception of the current trimmed down menu of biscuit and tenders, salads and sandwiches only menu early on. The menu reminds me of Chick- fil-A, just different. As for today, I came for the Dirty Rice. But we did order two Chicken sandwiches plus pickles, a family size dirty rice and a family size coleslaw, to go. Bojangles does not have jalapeños FYI. The menu neglected to show a sandwich only price. So I asked. I was told $6.92 including tax. The family size fix ins were $4.99. Combos with sandwich, beverage, and side choice are approximately $9.50. Sandwiches come with lettuce and tomatoes according to the menu. The restaurant was clean with booths and tables. Service was friendly. When we got home though, I must have been misunderstood or I misunderstood what went on the sandwiches. We had ended up with only pickles instead of added pickles. I don't usually post photos of food with utensils or half full containers with food already removed but today, I am doing that. I sliced up some tomatoes, washed lettuce, got out the jalapeños and more pickles and mayo and we fixed up our sandwiches. I would like to think that everything would have been sorted out at the restaurant if we had dined in, but only 2 pickles? Seriously? The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. The exterior was still mostly crispy and was well seasoned. It certainly needed the veggies. And I have to have my jalapeños! The bun was brioche however and perfectly toasted. Now the dirty rice. I could taste the chicken bouillon in the well seasoned rice and the big chunks of sausage were appreciated. It was good. So was the coleslaw. Nice and cold, crunchy and a perfect foil to my jalapeños on my sandwich. So we spent spent $24.42 on two people for no drinks, two large sides and two sandwiches. Honestly, it was good, but it is not something that I would eat frequently. As I said, we don't usually eat fried chicken out. They are open 24 hours! With a well lit drive thru and easy online ordering. Go and check them out!

Placed my order for pickup via the app and I was given 2:13pm as my time when my food would be ready...bear in mind I only ordered a 2pc kids meal. I arrived at 2:08, and parked in the curbside pickup spot and waited. By 2:26 I began to get a little concerned so I called inside. Someone answered the phone and I asked if my order came through successfully to which the young lady responded, "Yes! I saw your curbside order come through, but I don't see you in the parking lot." I waived my hand to show her I was there and get this, I waited an additional 10 minutes and the food still didn't come out. By this time, my grandson is getting upset. I go ahead and pull up to the drive thru and was greeted by a very kind young lady. I told her my dilemma and she radioed into the restaurant what was happening. She thought she was talking to someone, but when she finished telling them what was happening, no one ever responded with a follow up. I went on and drove around and let the lady know why I was there and gave her my phone to show proof of purchase. This young lady proceeds to ask me, "Did you pay for it already"? At this moment, I'm mortified!!! I still kept my cool, because I didn't want a drink or cane's sauce with a secret spit ingredient. After 30 minutes I finally got my food, and I believe I received it because my facial expression let them know I was extremely angry! I've NEVER been treated so poorly in my entire life! I will never, ever go back to this place again!

I think putting "limited time" makes people go crazy , they get to acting as if it's the end of the world or that they're going to die if they don't get their hands on the limited time items, and i absolutely hate that for society. I'm learning that it's easier and less chaotic waiting a couple of weeks to try newly released items even if that means I don't get to try them. My last trip was to try the viral Popeyes pickled options . I ordered The fried pickles , the deep fried pickle chicken sandwich and the pickled lemonade. I absolutely love pickles and most pickled flavor foods and knew that this would be either amazing or not so much lol. The wait time was decent, the service was friendly and the food was definitely made when we ordered ( hot and fresh ). For me these items that I chose to try weren't my favorite, with the fried pickles being my least favorite. They were missing something or something's . Although they were fresh and hot , they were somewhat mushy, the breading didn't stick well to the pickles. Im thinking it may have been the kind of pickles that were used . The pickle flavored fried chicken sandwich had potential and wasn't bad at all, it was dripping a lot of oil/ juice. The pickle flavored lemonade was ok but something I more than likely wouldn't order again . Overall the experience was unique and I'm glad I had the opportunity to try the limited time items . Should this be an item added to the regular menu, for me it's a No . I've come to this particular location a few times and don't recall ever having an interaction that's made me not want to return. I like that this location sits in a parking lot alone off a Main Street , so I usually don't have any issues getting in and out of the parking lot of really long lines. The times I've come which is in the afternoons after work ( between 3pm- 7pm), and majority of the cars are in line versus parked, so it's probably safe to assume that they don't get as much dine in as they do Togo service, or at least not during that dinner rush . I really look forward to trying more of their limited time options as I'm pretty familiar with their regular tasty items . The 3 piece dark spicy with a side of mashed potatoes EXTRA gravy or those Cajun fries will always have a special place in my heart.
