I was impressed by the boutique sections & ended up with 1 pair of excellent shorts, 2 dresses, & 4 shorts for a total of $27. What an excellent price! If I'd had more time, I would have stayed longer & probably found some nice home goods. The young male cashier was very nice and respectful. When I return to the area, I'll be back!

So the money from your purchases, as well as your donations, all go toward a great cause. This new thrift store is so clean and organized. Probably 75% of the store is clothing, shoes and accessories, but they also have a great selection of used books, DVDs, and even cassette tapes and VHS for the old heads. The prices are amazing. One of my kids bought a board game for $2, and the other found a Wii game for $3. There are lots of quality home goods and kitchen stuff, too. Nothing is junky -- you can tell that they are discerning about the items that they choose to display in the store. I visited the store on its second day of being open, and I noticed that it didn't have a sign out front yet. It's still early days for the store, though, so I'm sure they'll put a sign out at some point. In the meantime, just look for the banner that says "grand opening."

I just happened upon this store when I was walking around aimlessly at the mall. It's located right by Saks Fifth Avenue, at the end of the mall, just chillin' innocuously, all by itself. My sister collects vinyl, so I pawed through their selection to try to find some sick rekkids for her. I did find quite a few, actually, and they were priced right (anywhere from $1 to $10). The selection runs the gamut from Supertramp to Leonard Cohen to Perry Como. There are records for everyone here! They also sell locally made candles and smudge sticks, for all your burning needs.

I live just east of SoBro, though I'm known to claim the area as my homefront. It's an area I just…read moreplain love, a unique combination of urban edginess, friendly people with just a bit of attitude (like me), and a surprising amount of cool businesses. SoBro Vintage Market is probably right on that line between what would be considered SoBro and Broad Ripple, though it undeniably carries a SoBro vibe. In case there's any doubt, this is a vintage market. The vibe tends to change here from visit to visit, though I'm not going to say I actually frequent the place because, quite honestly, it's not always particularly wheelchair friendly. Some of this stuff is vintage enough that I don't want to take a chance on breaking it with my chair. You can get art here. You can get music here. You can get clothing here. You can get some furniture here. If you look up this place on social media, you'll see that they actually have "& Curiosities" in their name - that's appropriate because they have quite a bit that I would simply call "curiosities." Prices range from "great deal" to WTF?" It seems like when I've been here, I've always seen quite a bit that falls into mid-century. That's kind of appropriate considering an awful lot of SoBro would fall into that era (including my home - a 1955 California ranch). When they are open, they are known for putting some items outside (which is how I finally stopped - I saw a wonderful retro dining room table that was to die for). People are friendly and knowledgeable. I honestly don't know a lot about the place, other than I find it to be ultra-cool, and I've never stopped by that I didn't see something I'd want (and will sometimes get). If you're into the vintage scene, SoBro Vintage Market is definitely worth a visit. If you have mobility issues or are a wheelchair user, just be aware that sometimes it gets pretty tight inside and you'll want to exercise caution.

I went to this store to make a donation. I went to the dock and started unloading my car. A black…read moreman came out and started telling me that I needed to place the boxes on the dock and that was a rule by management. The dock is about 5 foot from top to bottom. I am 4"10 and 67 years old. I told him I was handicap and his exact words to me were " if you can't carry it, then don't bring it". It was apparent he did not want to help me and was in no way moved to help me. I am not sure why this person is here. This organization relies on donation to stay in business. Why would you treat your customers so badly? it is apparent there is no customer service training. This is suppose to be a Christian organization based on helping others in need but yet they have staff who don't care about the very people that help them. I will be taking my donations to other organizations.
