Now they want to hold our furniture hostage, wanting the balance up front and charging us 2 months' rent when they only had the container for a few days. We were originally told that the balance would be due when they dropped off the container at our new home, not being stored at any facility. Upsetting my husband, who is a retired veteran declared 100% disabled, who had lost his brother yesterday, not needing the additional emotional trauma. This has been a traumatic, horrible, and costly experience, and we will never recommend Pack-rat to anyone.

We were promised a delivery date 5 business days from the date of the request. PackRat failed to deliver our unit on the day promised and didn't even inform us the delivery would not be completed as promised, even though the online dashboard reflected the promised delivery date. This happened two more times. When the unit was finally delivered, we were promised a call at least 30 minutes before and this was not done. We could not move into our small condo without our belongings, so had to make other living arrangements during the delays. Just for moving the unit (not including the cost of initial delivery and local storage), we paid around $1000 for the 8' unit to be moved. I contacted the company to request compensation and they agreed to reduce the cost of the move by $150. I don't think the price reduction was worth the stress of the experience.

I confirmed with the owner that his guys would be able to do the move in 2 days. Even asked if they needed an extra day. I drove alone with two dogs in a car to try and beat them to my destination to ensure everything went smoothly. I arrived to my new place in Ohio and finally got in contact with whom was driving my truck of items and he said he would arrive the NEXT MORNING. A day late. I called the owner and he was not apologetic, just said he would call operations and then call me back. He never called me back and then avoided my phone calls for the next week. I ended up having to get a hotel with my dogs, which wasn't cheap after paying $4000 for my move. I was pushed around to multiple different people to try and get a refund off my total amount for the price of the hotel, i was offered $50 when my hotel was over $200. Everyone i spoke to was so nasty on the phone with me and did not care about my situation. Finally one gentleman offered me $175 off and I agreed to pay $1325 of my remaining $1500 owed on my bill, which I did not sign to authorize payment for this amount. I then see the next day they charged my card $1325 and $175. I called back multiple times to different people and the gentleman who originally offered the $175 said that he could no longer honor that discount and he 'did everything he could'. I am now in the process of disputing the full $1500 with my bank as I never signed the contract to authorize the final amount to be taken from my card and my money was ILLEGALLY taken. Worst business and customer service. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!

My father-in-law and several other friends in our subdivision had used Fischer Brothers recently. Husband called, literally the day before, to see if he could secure some help. Amazingly, he was able to hire two people. They arrived at the storage place on time and were ready to start. Shamari and Dwayne, were delightful. They even wrapped the sofa with blankets and tape, which the original departing movers did not. Overall, I would totally ask them back to help move. They were great. It was odd though that we had to pay in cash when it was completed. Fortunately, I had that amount of cash on me. They said it was because it went to a storage unit and not a home. Overall, I would use them again.

I cannot say enough about the professional assistance I received from the office (Ashley and Heather) and the moving crew (Landon, Calvin and Michael). The crew appeared at 9:00 sharp and did not stop hustling until the job was done at 4:00. Everything was carefully wrapped and moved. No damages. These guys worked hard and fast. No dragging around. When they arrived at one of our houses before me, they had already unloaded half the load as far as the door by the time I got there. They had some suggestions regarding how to "navigate" the various stops that were different from my original plan and it made perfect sense and was a better way. The crew worked quickly with an eye on reducing my initial quote and further, recommended that I get a smaller storage unit that would cost less. Overall I was thrilled with the experience having had some nightmare moves elsewhere over the years. I would definitely move with them again.

Several items were damaged, and when they began unpacking, they found multiple boxes that were completely empty--even though they were charged by the box. It feels like they were taken advantage of during what should have been a smooth transition. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of customer service. They have repeatedly tried to contact the company to address their concerns, but their calls have gone unanswered, and no one has returned their messages. It's very disappointing to see a company treat customers this way, especially elderly clients who deserve honesty, care, and respect.

I got a virtual quote and then scheduled them about a week or so later to start my move. Going in, I expected to pay a bit more than other companies but I had several delicate pieces I wanted to make sure were cared for so I gave them a shot. I think the price that was quoted was fair and when it came time to settle it was even a little less so that was great. I had a great experience using White Glove and will use them in the future.
