I think this place is close to where I live and I've had a space for a while. I recently had a fire at my apartment and the person helping me made sure I got what I needed. They kept the doors open for my transfer from one unit to another and opened the gate each and every time I needed it. The place is clean and easy to get to. They all you a few days before payment is due so you don't pay fees either. Price is a bit high but I think storage is expensive. I think is is a cool spot if you need a place to drop off some stuff. NEVER do business with this evil, parasitic company!!!! Recently, after paying for a storage locker for 12 years, which cost me some $25,000, I finally cleaned out my storage locker at this facility. At the last minute, to have their employee Abi tell me that her colleague was incorrect in telling me the date of a late fee, and that I was going to have to pay $25 anyway notwithstanding my reliance on her colleague's advice, and then to have their totally unsatisfactory staff Inari unilaterally change their longstanding grace period policy and charge me some $50 to access my unit, even though I was within the 10 day grace period, is unconscionable and outrageous. I moved my apartment belongings into a unit at Storage Plus yesterday and could not have had an easier time. Inari and Jennifer could not have been more helpful. I was in a rush to get back to my apartment for my landlord walk through so they helped me set up payment over the phone. Plus, there was a truck in the loading area for my unit, blocking my movers from being able to unload, so they moved me to a slightly larger unit with a different dock (at no additional cost) so I could unload quickly. You can't book on their website and the prices they quote on the phone are almost double what their site provides. Also, they have NO temperature controlled storage units anywhere. I was told my "unit" would actually be a "wooden crate", which from my past experience (elsewhere) is a definite no-no, unless you like everything you store to smell like mildew when you take it out. Stored at this location twice and both times I received great service, items were intact, and moving in, moving out process was incredible thanks to the staff and manager. I had a great experience here - the staff was extremely helpful (Angie helped sign me up and get me started) and even helped me move all of my things from the uHaul truck and into the unit. The space was very nice, clean, easy to get to location. They had a good promotion going when I booked my unit (first month free when you book the second month) and they offer low cost monthly renter's insurance. I am very happy with my experience at this place. I paid $55 a month for a small storage unit. There is no contract; so you can stay as long as you need to and leave when you're ready. When I moved, it was such a smooth transition. I think thier hours are too short though. I wish they were open later in the day. The units are not temperature controlled, but it made no difference because I did not keep clothing in there. My items were safe and secure for an affordable price. read more

They sent a free 1 hour moving truck (and they were clear about the charge if I exceeded an hour, but I didn't). You can pay online (recurring or manual) and vacating was also easy. this is by far the best storage experience i have had, and i've had a lot. for some reason, you don't expect to be treated well and professionally when dealing with storage companies in NYC, but this place actually cares. the management went above and beyond on several different occasions to make sure i was taken care of, and actually made an effort to give me a rebate for unused days when i didn't even ask. if that isn't surprising enough, they helped me arrange my move out of state and worked directly with the moving company to make sure everything went well. wow. read more
