Once I got to the counter, the clerk told me that I had to pick up the truck at another location (3100 Main, Kansas City, MO). Since I didn't have a car (as I thought I was picking up the truck) I had to take an Uber the other site. When I arrived at the second location, there was another long line (20 minute wait). While in line, I received a call from U-Haul inquiring if I was still getting my truck since I was past the pick up time - the audacity. I ordered a dolley and it wasn't in the truck. I purchased a round lock for the truck and the cashier failed to tell me that it wouldn't fit on the truck's lock, so I had to purchase another one at Home Depot. There was less than 1/4 tank of gas in the truck when I picked it up.

When I moved out I was told they only pro rate if you move out at the beginning of the month (I moved out on the 22nd of the month) and if you give notice. They are sheisters. They don't upkeep the facility and dirt and dust travels underneath the doors into your unit because they do not maintain the seals on the bottom of the doors. I would definitely NOT recommend this place of business to anyone!! It is a Mickey Mouse operation at best!

It's sketchy, it's frigid in the winter, and it's a miserable experience every single time I go in here. I want to go into a ton of detail, but at the same time, I don't want to waste my energy on it. I'm just temporarily shackled to this spot but am excited to get out from under it. If they come across this and want a positive, workable suggestion it would be to have trash/recycling available, even with an up-charge. I would pay a fee to be able to unload some things there, or even work with a junk removal company. Other than that, try using more than a lump of coal in the winter, stop letting people take over the whole load-in area, clean the bathroom, hire a better exterminator, and quit overcharging for a tiny storage space.

They helped me move from…read moreLong Beach to the Hollywood area and there was no problems with my items the traveling and unloading. I offered to help a few times but they insisted to do the job right and take care of everything. I recommend using them if you have to do a quick move.
