This rodent infested storage company will not monetarily assist with removing my furniture to obtain photos, nor have they offered to move my belongings out and address their obvious rodent infestation. Instead, storage management provides a copy of your contract that purports to absolve them from any responsibility in this matter. If there was a way to give this company a negative star rating I most definitely wouldn't hesitate to do so. He showed me the trailer and asked that I back my truck up to the trailer. He promptly lifted the trailer tongue onto the hitch, connected the security chains, connected the electrical, and double checked that all connections were secure. Kenneth gave me instructions on how to remove the trailer from the hitch. He then asked me to get in the cab as he confirmed proper operation of all trailer lights, brake lights, emergency lights, and left/right turn signal lights. I was impressed with Kenneth, who was professional and made an outstanding impression. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Waukee 1100 E. Hickman Road Waukee, IA 50263 In Waukee (Des Moines), Iowa the exact opposite was provided. Signs instructed me to remain in my vehicle and an attendant would soon arrive. After several minutes and no attendant in sight, I went inside the building. An employee asked if I was returning a vehicle. I replied, "Yes." He said, "Just drop the keys in that box." I explained I was returning a trailer. He said, "Return to your vehicle and someone will assist you shortly. Several more minutes passed with no one in sight. I called the local office, pressed "2" for "Other questions." The phone rang and rang until ultimately transferring me to U-Haul's central office. Again, I had to listen to a menu, which provided no options to get service in Waukee. I hung up, waited a few more minutes, and disconnected the trailer myself - no assistance, no receipt, absolutely no service. As I was driving away a young boy left the building and changed his direction to come to my vehicle. Without a smile he asked, "Do you want an e-mail receipt or a printed receipt?" I have insurance through Storage Mart but to no avail. A manager, Mary from another office decided to take upon a task that she is not educated or familiar with. I have a prosthetic leg and Tourette's. She stated to take the items back out if uhaul and the ruined items on the parking into the unit and write each item down. Hello what don't you understand about wet and mold that is obvious. Ohysically I cannot do this nor am I going to touch anything due to the hazard of mold and water. I guess I will stay here in the Uhaul all night until they figure out who is going to remove and put back in my unit. Also she stated you will be charged another month also if my damaged property was back in the unit. I have a third party who witnessed her ignorance as an alleged authority that represents this fraudulent business and practices. It is a great place to store boats, RV's, Campers, trailers, tractors, and anything else you can think of. The driveway is large and easy to navigate. Electrical hook-ups are available in each unit. There is a private door for each unit--no jumbled up shared units! Security camera's are on site. The owners of this facility are super nice and extremely helpful. Indoor storage can be pricey, but these owners are trying to keep it competitive and a bit more affordable. Love this place!
