This used to be a good company, but has gotten greedy. I have been renting a 10 x 10 space for over 12 years. My original manager, Monica, was wonderful, personable, and very helpful. Management was friendly and understood business. For years, I was able to pre-pay storage for the year, and in exchange get one month free discount, a deal for both of us. but corporate took that away. Prices have been going up 10% year, much higher than inflation! My monthly price went from $364 in August 2024 to $ 393 in Sept 2024, a 10% increase. Double inflation. I was just informed by phone yesterday from a ZStorage PRO manager my price will be going to $614 in the coming January 2026! THAT IS OVER 50% INCREASE IN RENT!!!! This is crazy! DO NOT RENT FROM STORAGE PRO! ordinary folks should LOOK for another company. read more

StoragePRO is simply the best storage facility on the Monterey Peninsula (or anywhere else). Super clean inside and out, secure, and with courteous, and knowledgeable staff. I was impressed. Monika, Storage PRO's manager in Carmel-by-the-Sea facility, went over and above any expectations I had, and offered Cusomer Service that was not only good, it was superb. It's not easy to downsize from a large home to a small one (moving is one of the top three causes of stress), and Monika made the transition much easier by always being available to help by sharing her expertise. Storage PRO in Carmel Valley is a very well run facility with clean units of different sizes, many safety features and extremely efficient managers who go out of their way to be helpful. Kathy is especially outstanding! She notified me when I'd put the lock on my storage unit incorrectly which she noticed on one of her many checks of the units and then showed me the safest way to affix it. I've been on the wait list for a smaller unit and she notified me immediately when one became available. She always shows customers where each emaculate unit is located and makes sure it meets their needs. She has a warm outgoing personality which makes it a pleasure to talk with her and the professional attention to detail that gives assurance one's property is looked after and in a safe place. I have had and continue to have excellent customer service with all staff members, but especially frI'm Monica, The Manager. This Storage Pro is kept immaculate and very secure! Whenever I have been at the Storage Pro, Monica is on site, sweeping, cleaning and greeting customers. She has made an effort to remember our names and greets us as we arrive. Monica is always willing to stop and answer questions or help in anyway. She is constantly on the move making sure each unit is locked and secure. pros: well protected, clean Cons: Very expensive and staff not well trained and a bit nosy. No accessing your unit after 7pm. ( ok in winter but in summer when it's light until 9pm? Not so great ) I would only recommend if you have a lot money to waste on storage or your only renting for a short time. read more

I was on a waiting list for a storage unit due to fire evacuations last month and was told to call back mid September. I did just that and a unit had become available. They held it till I could get there to sign the paperwork. They were extremely helpful and professional and felt it was concierge service all the way. On the day we arrived to load the storage unit, one of the personnel was there to guide us to ensure we found carts and could locate the unit as well. It was much appreciated as we were tired. The facility is clean, well lit and we feel confident about our decision. Also, the fees are very fair. Needed a storage unit for four months, even though this was a pricier option it seemed worth it for the extra security measures. This facility is nice, clean and safe. There is a problem though they don't inform you at the time of rental that they raise their rents every six months 7% and I wanted everyone to know. (That this a big jump if you are in one of the larger units) I am sure this causes many customers extra stress because they are already outrageous in there unit pricing. I am finding myself now moving my stuff out and what a hassle but who in there right mind would want to support a business that doesn't really care for the customers more than their MONEY! This is a clean safe facility but they routinely raise the rates without sound justification. They raised the rate by over 25% in less than 2 years. Being out of the area moving is an expensive procedure so we feel trapped. Short term they would be good but look elsewhere if staying over 6 months or a year. read more

There are a number of good things I can say about this facility. It is well constructed, safe and well managed. Unlike other storage locations in Monterey County, I am reassured that my unit will stay dry. The best thing I can say is that the current manager Monika is excellent. She is attentive, helpful and always pleasant. Now for the downside. Expect rates to increase. The lighting of ground floor units in the back is fine if you are blind. Bring a strong flashlight! Second floor units are better lit. read more

Stored a couple small cars here in one of their 10x30 units. The unit itself was very clean and the facility as a whole (outside and the office) is extremely clean. The monthly rate was ok, but after 6mos it was increased by $50, which seemed rather excessive. The manager and others I encountered were very pleasant to deal with. read more

The facility itself is good. No "creep factor", but the Pay Bill portal is terrible! Even after calling the site office and trying to straighten out the email address and password, it only works half of the time or less. I 've had this problem through 3 different office managers. They are always nice, but the problem seems to be with the Paybill Portal. It is an inconvenient, unresolved issue. read more

Storage Pro in Carmel Valley has been one of the best rental experiences to date (Nov 2012). I've moved a lot and periodically have had to use storage rental units. Terri was above and beyond friendly and informative. The place is clean, triple safe and protected against temperature changes and rain! They have large carts to pull the boxes around and for first time renters the use of their rental truck for the day with 15 free miles. No ramp on the truck tho, so strong arms are a must. :) It was one of the easiest moves I've made with their help. Thank You! read more
