My girlfriend and I just moved to Oxnard from Encino and I was told by some other close friends the best storage in Oxnard was StoreHouse Storage, and boy was he right. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and very efficient. The price was less than I was paying before and the way you get in and out without hitting any numbers and the way the keys work on the door locks are also very unique,easy & efficient. We have rented a storage unit at this location for several years and had also done so previously. While clean and seemingly secure, we learned you can not trust these people for one second. After requesting a 10' X 10', and after moving from a 5' X 10' into that larger unit, I was told repeatedly that the unit was TEN BY TEN FEET. We realized over time that my unit WAS NOWHERE NEAR TEN FOOT DEEP, NOR TEN FEET WIDE. I have numerous longboard surfboards, all ranging from 9'2" to 9'6" AND THEY SIMPLY DO NOT COME CLOSE TO FITTING, EITHER DIRECTLY IN OR SIDEWAYS. (A lot of extra work to store!) My unit is/was LESS THAN 8.5 FEET DEEP AND LESS THAN 9 FEET WIDE!! They have been stealing money from us for years and if you have a unit there they are probably stealing from you too! When asked about the gross shortcomings and lies, the staff are trained to say, "It is approximately ten by ten.) IT IS NOT AN "APPROXIMATION" OF 10 X 10 FEET - IT IS BOLD-FACED THIEVERY ALONG WITH NUMEROUS LIES We have made contact with the DA's office and will implore them to force an outside or independent review and measurement of ALL UNITS, in order to determine just how many thousands of dollars have been stolen and from how many hundreds of people, month after month, year after year? We are also contacting Consumer Affairs and Consumer protection reporters at Los Angeles news stations and others. And with all the reviews we will be posting, in addition to legal action, It shouldn't be too difficult to expose them and at least curtail their sad, dishonorable conduct. When I have asked them for a smaller unit, they lie and claim they don't have any. Their staff are trained to lie and they all know of the misrepresentation and thievery. Several staff were asked if they had received huge pay increases to go along with their employers raising our rates significantly twice during a global pandemic when many suffered? They all said they had not. , On March 10, I received a call that they were going to lock us out of our unit later that day as I was late with my payment. (We had experienced fraud on several debit and checking accounts over the past year and I had misread their notice to read the 15th.) I needed documents in the unit for use over the weekend. I was in Los Angeles and it was pouring rain. They would not allow me a day or any flexibility whatsoever. So I was forced to scramble back to Oxnard and was subsequently PREVENTED FROM GETTING AT MOST OF MY PROPERTY FOR THAT ENTIRE AFTERNOON, AS IT WAS BLOCKED BY A LARGE CREW. And yet they still charged me additional payments and locked me out. The employee attempted to prevent me from taking photos to gain proof. After NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCESS MY OWN PROPERTY, I called and asked to speak to the owner. A woman lied to me several times, then claimed he had just left. She then named him as a "Mark Harmon" or "Herman" and when I asked her name she finally admitted and said that she was in fact the owner - Che Herman - pathetic!. (They mistreat so many people they attempt to hide their identity.) They ultimately charged me $220 and also cheated me out of the final day of the month. Inside the elevator someone had left a note expressing their distaste with management as well. At least I was able to have a good laugh, after all the lies and thievery. These people display a true sickness of greed, willing to cheat whomever they can in any way they can. At the very least, measure the damn unit! StorHouse Storage has great units, super safe and private facility. I stored my motor home in a larger unit, 2 roll up garage doors, easy access. Facility always was clean and had security. Overpriced - I should have looked elsewhere. I paid $140 a month for an unprotected parking space that was 5' x 10' - and they demand payment ahead of time for the upcoming month (much like a cable TV company) - if you vacate your spot early like I did, forget about any sort of a refund. On a side note, there were new scratches on my trailer when I pulled it out for good in February; in addition, no-one is around on Sundays to pull your trailer or vehicle out of storage. I suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I disagree with the last review, I needed a safe well lighted place to store our office furniture and files. My boyfriend who is deployed at the moment stores his stuff there. Told me to go there and ask for mark. I was pretty impressed, it looked new, lighted and security stuff everywhere. The best part was the owner gave me the military discount and upgraded us to a bigger store room at no extra cost. T read more

I finally retired and closed by warehouse. I needed a safe, clean and reliable place to store the inventory I have been selling on-line. StorHouse has exceeded my expectations on all fronts. They are always cleaning, painting and working on the place. It always looks spotless (without a leaf or speck of dirt out of place anywhere) There were storage facilities closer to my house but Storhouse had the highest quality, the best prices and the easiest access and I'm glad I'm here. I rented a unit at StorHouse in 2019 and 2020; both times I was extremely satisfied with their amazing facilities, reasonably prices, and professional staff. I visited multiple facilities in the area before I selected StorHouse, and none of them came close, when compared. StorHouse has fob controlled elevators, climate controlled storage, and they even offer military discounts. Best storage I've seen so far! read more

I rented a unit here for my business. By far the cleanest and safest feeling storage facility I have ever been in. Staff was always nice and the prices were pretty comparable to others but worth it because I felt safe storing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise for my company. Storhouse is by far one of the best storage places in Southern California! I had been a customer for over 2 years and found the staff to always be pleasant and responsive to my needs... the units are clean, well lite, and convenient to access. The temperatures are mild and never reach any high degrees which was important to me as I had been storing collectables sensitive to this parameter. At the end of the my contract, Storhouse made the process simple and smooth.... I've used this storage facility twice now. Both times have been great. The facilities are top notch. Being in the military and constantly leaving; it's very comforting to know my stuff was in such a secure location. The staff in the office was always polite and helpful. The buildings are modern and clean. They offer incentives if you refer a friend and they get a storage unit with them. We had to find a Storage unit quickly when we sold our home. After looking around, checking out many different sites, this one was by FAR, top notch. This storage facility is as good as it gets. I am a health professional and I have used Storhouse since they opened, to store sensitive medical records for my patients. Before moving in, I was given a tour by the owner Marc Hermann. The security in this place is unbelievable. Ultra Hi-Res cameras everywhere, great lighting, very secure. They spent millions on just the security alone in this facility, and the rates are quite reasonable. They have industrial lifts, huge hand carts, moving trucks, etc. to help you transition.
