The hours are admittedly weird, but we showed up right at closing around 2pm Friday and they stayed opened for us to have a quick look. I was so relieved to finally find somewhere with gliders I can actually see and sit in that I ordered one right away. I wish I'd known about the place sooner, because buying baby furniture online unseen and untouched has been a bit stressful. This is clearly a family-run business--the staff that day was a father and daughter--and the gliders on offer were seemingly all high-quality pieces made in America. That was a relief, because so many I'd seen online seemed to be made with questionable materials necessitating careful research that I no longer have the energy to do so late in pregnancy. Super crazy hours. Closed at 2 on a Friday. Thought they'd have at least hours until 5. People like me get off early on Friday's.

I first went to Babies R Us to look at several different car seats in order to determine which would be the perfect fit for my child and my car. To be honest, I had intended to look at the car seats at the store, but then return home to purchase it on Amazon. Babies R Us didn't have the car seats I was hoping to see. I asked if they knew where I could see a Diono, and they directed me to Storkland. Christine helped me at Storkland. She showed me the car seats, including the Diono. She let us put both of our children (ages 6 and 1) in each car seat to see if it would fit them well. She helped us lug the car seats to our truck and see if they'd fit there, too. She was very, very helpful and knowledgeable. We were there for hours trying them in the store, trying them in our truck, comparing, and discussing the pros and cons of each. Eventually, we decided that we needed to come back with our other vehicle (a small car) to make sure the car seats would fit in it, too. After lunch and naps for the kids, we came back. Tabitha helped in the afternoon. Just like Christine, Tabitha was fantastic. She answered all of our questions and re-discussed the pros and cons of each. In the end, we purchased a Britax instead of the Diono. (Three months later we are very pleased with our purchase.) Storkland's prices were the same as or cheaper than Amazon, so, of course, we purchased directly from them! Their prices were fantastic! Christine and Tabitha were both so patient with us, never making us feel like we were in their way, but instead made us feel like we were the only reason they were there!! They were there for any and every question we had, they helped us move and adjust the car seats 100 times, and they gave us all the time we needed to decide which product would be best for us. I highly recommend Storkland for their excellent, friendly, and professional customer service; their competitive prices; and their inventory. read more

I can't say enough about this place! Tabitha has been especially helpful. She helped us pick out our nursery furniture and she was never pushy nor did she ever seem annoyed by my undecisiveness. And as much as I hate to admit it, I was rude to her at one point (I blame hormones!) and she quickly & easily accepted my apology. I have never felt awkward going back. Their prices are VERY reasonable especially when you consider their quality. Also, I found that the car seat that I wanted was LESS expensive there as opposed to Babies R Us (even with one of their coupons). Tabitha helped install my car seat, fixed it after I had messed with it, & just today turned it forward facing for me. Unfortunately for her, it seems all three times it was 90+ degrees! But she did it with a smile. I would highly recommend shopping at Storkland and will continue to do so myself. read more

Was very satisfied with the quickness to help and knowledge of car seats. I went in looking for a recaro performance ride convertible for my son. They had them along with the other top of the line carseats that are hard to find in my area other than babies r us. The product I purchased normally runs 250 dollars and they had it for 229 which is a killer deal. thanks ladies for helping this father out. read more

Pricing is usually at or sometimes below these major retailers - but this is a locally owned store!! Plus, you get to interact with helpful and kind staff (and they will not judge you if you stumble in sleep deprived covered in coffee you spilled with a snoozing baby clutched in your arms). read more
