Lively modern space at Storm King. They are a brewery, barbecue, cocktail joint. Headed over on a summer weekend afternoon. The place was weirdly quiet. They have options outside, booths, tables and bar seating. You have to order at the counter than they bring you your food while drinks/beer are given at the bar. We order some apps consisting of chips and salsa and an order of wings (3). I had an aperol spritz which was delish and had those fun summer vibes. The staff were friendly. The chips look definitely homemade and maybe made fresh when ordered. The salsa is more like a pico and tasty. The wings were good and came with some celery and ranch. They are the whole wing so you'll have to work for your food. Great atmosphere in this neighborhood and fun place to hang out. Parking can be difficult if you're headed down during a twins game. No parking lot, just street parking. They also have a cart of games to play if you're interested in that. I was eying the uno card but didn't have any takers in my party to play against.

This is a great place to mix it up if you're heading toward the city! It has a nice atmosphere, fun drinks, and it's within walking distance of another brewery. Perfect for a casual bar-hop. Plenty of room for a group! I would absolutely come back here for the drinks, beer, and onion rings! Friendly service, order at the bar and you're given a number to bring to your seat. I would not go out of my way for the BBQ itself. We ordered a bit of everything, ribs, slaw, pulled pork, the taco salad, onion rings, and many many beers! The onion ring batter was perfection and the taco bowl itself was flaky and unique! I'm happy I was able to grab a bottle of their sauce to smother my pulled pork in. The ribs were yummy but not standout. We parked a little ways up the street and walked, which was easy enough. It's not right in the heart of everything, but once you're there, the location makes for a relaxed, easy night out.

Came here on a late (10 pm) Friday night looking for a place to grab a quick drink before heading to our next location and decided to check this place out. We walked there since we were in the area but being in the North Loop area, I could imagine that parking could be a challenge. The brew hall was fairly empty with a few patrons playing skee ball, but it was very clean and a pretty mellow vibe overall. The bartender welcomed us in and shared what was popular on the drink menu and allowed us to sample a few before deciding on a drink. They also served food ranging from wings, ribs, burgers, and other BBQ restaurant classics. I'm not sure what this place is like in its peak but I definitely would try it again next time if I'm in the area.

It was a slow evening with the State Fair and no sporting events in town. We sat at the bar. I had a water, my husband had a beer and I ordered dessert. We had already eaten dinner but the bar-B-Q smelled amazing. The bartender was really friendly chatting with everyone at the bar. My dessert was sweet and cool just what I was looking for. Somehow we missed this gem when we've been in the area before.

A great place to stop before or after a baseball game. They have food options though we only opted for a beer. Plenty of seating and very quick service at the bar.

First time to StormKing, the beers are amazing. I had the Brisket Sandwich, it was a little under flavored, I also didn't care for the giant fat cap. Next time I would love to try their Ribs. The service was great however.

The food here is quite delicious. I had a half pound brisket, Texas twinkies and pulled pork slider. The food here is amazeballs good. And our server Veronica was a gem. They have beer, wine, Seltzer and mixed drinks. The BEER: Czech-Mate Czech Pilsner 5.2% ABV... it is a pils, but didn't get much if any of the distinct Czech flavor St. Bridget pale ale 5.3% ABV... a little fruity, an odd after taste. Not bad, not good, just okay. Pantao new England session IPA 4.8% ABV.... not the New England I was expecting, but definitely has the session clean taste and mouth feel 30 Rack for the ice house cream ale 4.8% ABV... this is good, rock solid cream ale Jen donut Stout 7.5% ABV... sooo, I really liked this, cinnamon forward, this is quite good Thors Hammer DIPA 8.2% ABV... this is awesome, though 3 of these and you'll be dropping your keys Great place for BBQ and Beer in Minneapolis.

A unique type of smoke house and brewery. You order at the counter. The sliders for happy hour do come individually as one. It's very laid back and urban. They offer happy hour specials!! We ordered the ribs and they were delicious. Just don't forget to grab some bbq sauce.

The best BBQ in the area! I cannot do propane tasting BBQ so if you can either then this is your spot to! It tastes slightly firewood smoked which is the best kind. The Togo service was fast & they have condiments available that is self-service. The interior is lovely with high ceilings, fireplace, board games, full bar service.

Cheese curds ($12). Small-ish portion, but the dill pickle ranch was TASTY.

One of my favorite spots for Monday night trivia (mostly because I love their trivia host Taylar, but the rest of the staff are also great!) I think they've changed their menu in the past few months, because it looks way different from the last time I was here! Seems like they're really leaning into the handhelds now, with the addition of burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. I will greatly miss the dearly departed pulled squash bbq sandwich that was my favorite from the old menu, but it's nice to see they're still keeping some veggie options available with the black bean burger ($14) and Herbivorous Butcher fried "chicken" sandwich ($17). This time around, I tried out the new baja burger ($15) and the cheese curds ($12). The burger was pretty solid, but I thought it could've used a bit more jalapeño, so I ended up adding some hot sauce (they have Yellow Bird habanero, which is one of my favs!). The cheese curd portion was also on the smaller side, but still good--I did really enjoy the dill pickle ranch it came with. Overall, I do like the spot and the staff, even though their prices are on the steep side (but then again, that's no different than any other place in the North Loop, haha). I'm curious to try more of the new menu, since I loved the old stuff so much--I've heard great things about their actual bbq'd meats, so I'm definitely gunning to try the brisket next time I'm back!

A day of brewery hopping led us here. I had only been in One a couple of times....but what StormKing did to the seating.... didn't even look like the same place! Certainly not a bad thing, just different. I opted for a glass of Briskets Best Friend. Friends ordered a Sloshed Midwest Pale Ale and Max Haze Hazy IPA. The beer was alright. The tap room was bright and comfortable. The middle of the room is now lined with booths. A buddy also ordered a pulled pork sandwich, that he really enjoyed. Thanks StormKing

StormKings got a limited menu, but great food for what they do have. Beware of them potentially running out of food though, which is what happened for some the night I went. They host trivia, which is what I went for. The ambiance for trivia is great and they've got a good selection of drinks, Their staff is friendly and welcoming! Be mindful that parking can be difficult, so plan a few extra minutes for your trip.

Another visit, this time with pub passes (and warmer weather). I had Uphill Backwards and it's grandfather, Learning Opportunity DIPA, per the recommendation of the bartender and they were excellent choices for a warm summer evening on their patio. Dinner was pulled pork, slaw and fries. I like salty fries but these were really salty. Pulled pork was excellent and slaw was a perfect light, crunchy compliment. We sat on the patio and played cards with friends. It was a beautiful summer evening and their patio is spacious and comfortable with lots of areas for fun and conversation. Another great stop.

The patio is a huge highlight. It's spacious, well set up, and perfect for enjoying drinks outside, especially in the warmer months. There are games to play, plenty of seating, and a really fun, laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to spend a few hours there without even realizing it. The food is also a standout, which isn't always the case at breweries. We especially love the pizza and the elote fries, both are consistently delicious and pair perfectly with their drinks. It's nice to have food options that go beyond the basics and actually feel like a reason to come back. The staff has always been super friendly and patient, even when it's busy, which we really appreciate. It makes the whole experience feel welcoming and easy. Inside, the space is just as great. There are two levels and games you can play, so there's plenty to do no matter the weather. Overall, this is one of our go-to spots and somewhere we find ourselves coming back to again and again.

They were open until 11 and had a great beer selection with an inside/outside option. My wife wanted to watch some of the Stanley Cup so we opted for inside. Based on his interactions we decided to get chicken tenders (Nashville) and fries and a few more beers. Overall this is a great, inviting environment. I can't recommend visiting here enough. Seriously, I've probably had everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. They have an extensive collection of beers that will please anybody, with some of the best Hazys and best Sours in town, and also cocktails that work for folks that don't want a beer. The patio is superb, and although you sometimes share it with a passing train, it's tucked away and is a nice separation from the business of the surrounding north loop. I'd argue the wings are easily top 3 in the whole state, they're always crispy, and the monthly specials are clearly thought over and iterated on by talented chefs that want to try new and unique things. The pizza is also probably the best Detroit style in the city, try the Elote and you'll see what I mean. Staff is a hoot, they're all super nice, great to talk to, and have honest opinions about their own menu. Seriously, if you're anywhere near the downtown area, go here.
