    Brisket Rolls (2)

I'm no stranger to The Fabled Rooster, but it had been a while... so I stopped by and treated myself to not one, but two brisket egg rolls... and WOW. You know I love the staff there for sure. These things are flavor bombs wrapped in crispy perfection. The brisket was tender and seasoned just right, and every bite had that perfect crunch-to-filling ratio. The Fabled Rooster is located inside a food hall, which always makes the experience more dynamic. The vibe is lively, the options are endless, and the quality here never misses. It's easy to sleep on familiar places, but this was the perfect reminder that they're still killing it. I'll definitely be back for more!

11,000 + mile foodie road trip and one of my favorite blends of flavor. Smoked Wagyu brisket egg roll with pimento cream cheese, fire roasted jalapeno, and secret sauce. The almost minced brisket with the cream cheese made for a great bite. The acid from the pickled onions on the side was a nice balance. Egg roll super crispy. Delicious!

I recently visited Fabled Rooster at Graze Libations + Provisions for the first time for the first time and was absolutely blown away. From your first encounter at the stall ordering up your food you are greeted by friendly folks that are happy to help you pick out delightful dishes. I ordered a smattering of heavy hitting dishes including: Cajun Fries with Pork | Perfectly Fried Crinkle Cut Fries with Cajun Black Truffle Salt and White Truffle Oil, Covered with Parmigiano and Secret Sauce, and a Heaping of Pulled Pork. Brisket Rolls | Two Egg Rolls Packed Full of Smoked Brisket and Pimento Cheese and Secret Sauce to Dunk Them In. BBQ Plate with Brisket and Smoked Gouda Potato Salad | Melt in Your Mouth Brisket with Texas Toast, Pickled Red Onions, Homemade Bread & Butter Pickles. I got the Cherry Bomb BBQ Sauce and it's the BOMB. The Potato Salad was a balance of Richness and Smokiness. Pulled Pork Sandwich | Juicy Pulled Pork on a Cornbread Hamburger Bun Topped with Homemade Pickles and a Tangy Carolina Gold BBQ Sauce. I would order every dish again and can't wait to make it out again!

    Best brisket plate in Minnie!

Went back a second time the other night for more brisket! Service is excellent and guys are friendly! The cook serves up mean plates!! Going back tonight as it's the last night in Minnie. All their food is 10 stars! Generous portions and won't disappoint! My dilemma ...the burger with special sauce or the last of that tasty brisket??? Ugh!!

I am quite disappointed in this place from a food perspective. I found the meat not very flavorful and a tad overcooked, which left parts of the rib tips tougher and dry. However, the different BBQ sauces were tasty and some of them unique in flavors. Which is great because you definitely need the sauce to make the food appetizing. The only positives about this place is that it's in an excellent and convenient location. There is plenty of seating and other activities to do inside the food hall, which makes this a cool spot to visit and enjoy since you have other food options nearby. Also, service is quick and pricing was more than fair for the amount of food you get.

These brisket rolls are out of this world. I wasn't expecting something quite as good. Instead, I figured it would be a plain egg roll shell with a bit of brisket - I was dead wrong. These were every bit of incredible and worth the money and wait. (although they aren't that expensive, nor did they take that long). Even if you're not planning on eating a full meal from the Fabled Rooster, I would highly recommend these as an appetizer.

Inside Graze, on the first level, you'll find The Fabled Rooster. Their Cajun Truffle Fries immediately caught our eye, and we were sold after we saw the option to add Pulled Pork. The fries were meaty, the Cajun seasoning was flavorful, and the pulled pork was perfectly cooked. The aioli and green onion were a bit overwhelming in places, so we picked around them. We sat on the patio and enjoyed it with a beer/cider. It all paired beautifully to create a wonderful Friday date night experience.

I would definitely have another burger at the Fabled Rooster. It was absolutely perfect and fries were delicious as well, although the portion of fries could have been more with the burger.

Pulled pork plate with baked beans. Very dry pork and crunchy beans. Not impressed. Very 3 out of 5.

My wife and I were on our weekly new place for lunch Saturday. I am always open for a new BBQ place and The Fabled Rooster is in a newish Food Hall. We entered the establishment and there were a lot of good selections in here, Hmong Kitchen, tacos, but I was here for BBQ. I ordered the pulled pork plate with the baked beans. It comes with Texas toast, which was probably the best part of the meal. Hey, butter on toast, what could go wrong? The guy behind the counter was super nice and our meal was ready in about five minutes. I ordered a beer across the way for $9! What!!!!!???? $9 for a beer. Well this is the last time I come to this place. Our plate came out and the pork was really dry, and the spicy BBQ sauce wasn't very spicy at all. The food all around wasn't hot at all, barely warm. The beans were not very flavorful at all and they were crunchy? I haven't had many crunchy beans, and they were tepid at best. I really wanted to love this place, but the meat was super dry and crunchy beans. Great guy behind the desk though.

we ordered the fried pickles and it's pretty yummy! Got too excited to eat them and did not take any picture. I feel they are a bit understaffed (as we all are, everywhere). We went during the weekend but not peak hour, the line is quiet long and the wait was pretty long for the food to be read. I want to give it one more try for their other food during our next visit.

Great location and vibe, good ribs, not so good brisket and potato salad. I liked the ribs, nice and unique flavor (is that coffee in the rub?) and the perfect tenderness of falling off the bone with just a little tug. They were not very hot though nor were they very juicy. They weren't dry though either so depending on what they are trying to do they may be cooked exactly as intended. The brisket unfortunately was very fatty throughout (not just a fat cap), refrigerator cold, not noticeable smoke ring and a small portion. My wife nibbled a few meatier parts but left most of it untouched. Not worth the $17 it set me back. Potato salad was certainly unique and an interesting flavor, but the texture was not to my taste as the dressing was very thick as if made with cream cheese instead of mayo. I had been trying to get lunch here several times and it has always been closed. Today was no exception but about 12:30 it opened up. Really good BBQ has gotten expensive and I'll gladly pay if the quality is there. Fabled Rooster is certainly on the expensive side but in the end I didn't think the food measured up.

Here on a Saturday shortly after 11am and Graze is still quiet, lots of seating indoors and outside. Most of the foot traffic is gathered around Avocadish. My first choice Soul Bowl was unfortunately closed (!!) so by default I wandered to The Fabled Rooster and I'm not sad about the outcome. Because it was my second time walking around looking at menus, the staff asked if I had any questions. The burger selection was limited to only the chef burger that morning. I asked about the sides, debating between baked beans or smoked gouda potato salad. The beans came highly recommended - they did not disappoint at all. Service was super friendly and helpful - they explained the "delivery charge" on the receipt which was really a Graze service charge applied to all orders. One could've assumed as much but nice for them to explain upfront to avoid any customer misunderstanding. Let's talk about the burger. Pillowy bun, almost medium well beef, perfectly melted cheese, sauce, pickles - it wasn't a substantial burger in terms of size but a well proportioned sandwich on all fronts. It certainly needs a side in order to round out the meal and baked beans were spot on the right combination. A small cup doesn't look like much but once you dig into the beans, it complements the burger perfectly and makes it a filling combo.

We really wanted to like Fabled Rooster, but we ended up thinking it was pretty meh. The best parts of our meals were the portion sizes (you will NOT go hungry, they are huge), the BBQ sauces (yummy), and the baked beans. However, the meats were dry and overall not very good (definitely do not get the brisket), and the collard greens were not our favorite. While we love the food hall this place is in, we probably won't get food from this stall again.

A price for in-dining, per lb and a price for take out. There is a young man there and I tell him I'm eating in. He takes a plate, and loads it which what I want. It's a shame its by per lb, because there were so many good item so to try, but I could only put so much on the plate. I got greens, yams, black eyed peas, bbq chicken leg and mac n cheese and jerk spaghetti. The food was overall good and I loved the jerk spaghetti and bbq chicken leg the best. They ordered bbq chicken, smothered chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans & cornbread. If i'm being honest none of the food looked appetizing in the serving trays so I was already skeptical. I've always kind of heard mixed reviews about MS but it was still on my list to check it out. My job allowed us 1 meat option, 1 side + green beans and cornbread. I got the bbq chicken and it was sitting in a watery bbq sauce (which was explained by a coworker serving it as it's a bbq gravy?) I got the baked mac and cheese, which a soul food restaurant should be able to deliver... it was just salty! The cheese burnt on top was inedible and it overall it wasn't good. The cornbread was really dry. Overall not good.

Not too saucy, good texture, and light. The cornbread was not my favorite. Very northern; overly sweet and pretty dry. The crispy edges were great. The brisket was really disappointing. It was over-rendered and really dry. If fell apart (good) because every bit of the intramuscular fat had cooked out (bad). I think they just don't get enough traffic to cook them fresh so the ones from the morning dry out in the warmer all day. I think this is a better option than Famous Daves for larger groups r corporate events but would probably just go somewhere else or smoke something at home instead.

Ever since 2020, the climate surrounding the George Floyd Square has changed dramatically, and this establishment has become an even stronger integral part of the community as the square itself had represented how the community thrives with its people. A lot of respect for the establishment from that perspective. In terms of food, I would say the soul food, which contained mostly sides, were the main highlight for me. The mac & cheese was salty enough. The fries were solid in a "you can't really go wrong with it" type of way. The candied yams had enough sweetness. The collard greens could taste better but standards must be lower when they're not homemade. I also enjoyed the catfish fillets as they were fried to preserve enough hotness and softness. A lot of what they served, they made on the spot, which was what may be causing longer wait for some. Meat-wise, a lot of items could use further improvement because they were too dry, such as the smoked wings and the beef brisket. The wings were dry to the point that they condensed and got extremely salty. The brisket relied a lot on the sauce and the existing fat on the meat for juiciness while the meat itself didn't have a lot of flavor or juice. As for the ribs, they had some seasoning, and tasted just fine, and weren't as dry. But I have had ribs in Texan barbeque places before and knew what "seasoned" ribs were like and therefore concluded that the ribs here were not spectacular. With all that said, however, I still will return here as often as I can because I love supporting this business. The person serving me was very hospitable and patient. I still got some pretty solid barbeque even if it's not Texas. Besides, outside just the barbeque food, the soul food was solid, like I had mentioned above.
