This is a nice little neighborhood bar with above average bar food and unique pour your own taps. They do a nice job, will def be back!

This is place is really cool. The concept is great. Get a card, pour your own Drinks, and have an automatic checkout. If your coming here ONLY for drinks it's absolutely worth it for the vibe, variety and atmosphere. The food is expensive and unsatisfactory. Expensive for a 1/4lb patty cheeseburger that doesn't come with fries. Cheese curds are generic (still good, but nothing special). Shakes were great! And they even split into two cups! The wings were the best. Stick with those and you'll be fine!

This is an easy five. An awesome neighborhood spot with rotating self serve taps and probably the best bar food I've had in awhile. They also cater to all different dietary restrictions - gluten free buns and you can sub an impossible burger on any of their burgers. Jalepeno Mac and cheese bites, cheese curds, and pretzel sticks are awesome. My favorite burger is the goat cheese and fig but surprisingly the peanut butter one is actually pretty good too! Great outdoor space, dog friendly, staff is usually nice. Only bad thing is that it gets busy on summer weekend nights and you'll probably have to wait around for a table - no reservations. Garlic pepper fries forever.

I tried Tap Society on a whim after a game at the park nearby, and to be honest, I was a bit skeptical when I arrived based on their format. You sync your credit card to a Tap Society card that you then swipe for your food and self-pour drinks (which you pay for by the ounce). My inclination is to think places like this are kitschy and overpriced, but thankfully Tap Society proved me wrong!! First the wall of beer/seltzer/cider on tap-- They have an impressive variety of local options!! Truly anyone can find something they love here, and they have the appropriate glass for each drink as well as flight options! It far exceeded my expectations. The food was also great and reasonably priced. There are many free upgrade/modification options which was very appreciated! I loved the peppered french fries which came with a super yummy aioli. Seating was first come first serve with great options both indoors and outdoors. It is only street parking, but the area is quiet enough that that has never been an issue for me! I highly recommend Tap Society and plan to return!

Wow! What's cool concept and excellent execution. It was a little hard to figure out the pouring system if you are new to this concept. Leave the card in while pouring and don't forget to take it out afterwards. Other than that, flight paddles are handy with markers to help you remember what you're trying. Menu selection is limited but pleased to find a gluten friendly option (salad). I plan to go back when we visit MSP again. Weather was awesome so we found a nice shaded spot outside. Construction made it hard to walk to but that's temporary.

The raspberry sour was sooo good! Strawberry wheat ale was ok.

Wow, me & @kaaaaayleexx had such a great time at @tapsociety yesterday! I didn't even know this place existed and now it's about to be the spot The food was cheap and super good! I got the Nashville hot pulled chicken sandwich with garlic fries the chicken sandwich was not really Nashville hot, but the flavor was amazing & the home made pickles We also got the deep fried Brussels sprouts & cheese curd appetizers: both amazing, especially the Brussels sprouts! The set up is so cool inside. We were a lil confused at first (you place the card in the slot and then start pouring your beer) but they have a ton of options & you pay by oz, so it was super cheap overall! Less than $20 I think for us to drink 3 beers and part of a flight! Such a fun experience overall & a nice outdoor set up for you to enjoy a variety of beers in the sun this summer

Interesting concept place. Self-service bar. When you walk in, you are issued a card that is linked to your credit card. There are numerous taps along one wall, and each has a screen with a description and a price per ounce. There are beers, wine, and seltsers. There is various glassware to choose from (I took a small tasting glass, as I wanted to try a few). Put the card in the slot associated with the tap you want, and start pouring. You can take as much or as little as you want, and it charges per ounce. There are several tables, including a longer high top table. Mainly groups of people, but saw one or two alone, having a drink and reading. While it is self-serve the staff was quite helpful, explaining how things worked. You can also order food, but I just had drinks. While my experience was positive, I probably will not return. If you run the math, the prices are pretty average, so if you go with a group of friends for a drink, it is a good deal because you don't need to tip, like you would a bartender or waitress in a typical bar/restaurant. However, I would not go here alone for a drink again, as it does not have the ambiance of a typical bar. There is no repoire with the bartender, and it would be difficult to strike up a conversation with other patrons or meet people.

My wife and I were out on some errands and we decided to try out Tap Society. They have about 20 lines of beer along the wall that you serve yourself at. You order your food from an IPAD at the front of the establishment. I ordered the Impossible Burger with cheese and some extra pickles and sauce, The burger was super flavorful and the perfect texture. It was like a real burger and the sauce tasted like Big Mac sauce, good stuff. I didn't really like the draw your own beer deal on the side, it was expensive and not really spelled out for the new person that I was, I would probably go 3 stars normally, but the Impossible Burger prep was way above expectations!

First one in the door on a Saturday with my uncle from Colorado. He had never tried a self-serve tap wall before. He seemed very pleased with the experience. They don't accept tips, but instead donate the money to a cause, which is a very nice idea! Maybe they actually pay employees a living wage. There's two kiosks where you enter your order, not unlike Panera. This accepts cards only, if you want to pay in cash you'll have to talk to someone. Limited selection of just burgers and apps. Like with other tap walls, you get a drink card from the counter and place it on top of the reader in order to pour your drink. The selection is okay with some classics and Minnesota staples. The burgers were classic crumbly bar burgers. I liked the option to add extra sauce, and the carnitas burger melts in your mouth! Overall this could be a nice first stop on a night out. Having been to other tap wall bars, this scores a bit lower in the food / drink category as far as options and flavor goes. I could see stopping in here again with friends if I was in the area! Street parking.

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

They serve some 80s-themed signature cocktails, such as the TMN Tea, Mike Tyson's Drunk Out, Macha Man Randy Savage and the People's Margarita, and have a huge assortment of tap beer. I tried both and they were really good. The cocktails are stiff and savory. Be careful when ordering some beer, though; some of them are THC-infused. Drinking those may get you in trouble at certain jobs. I got the Princess Peach Punch and Raspberry Cider tap beer. The place has a mixed crowd, age-wise. There were 21-year-olds to 60-year-olds. It was a pretty low-key spot that has specials every night. They have limited food options that feature pizza. There weren't many people there while I was there, but it was still a really fun place. It had decent belgian notes but it was half-flat and a little sweet for my taste. It's nice they have a patio but it's beset by constant traffic from 44th St on one side and a parking lot with porta pottys on the other. Not exactly getting any fresh air. Moreover, the seating at picnic tables and high tops with cheap un-cushioned bar stools felt pretty half assed but that went along with the overall theme. They allow outside food and had a food truck operating when we went there which was a plus. Ultimately neither one of us were thrilled with our first tap so we bailed. Can't speak on the entire tap line but unlikely we will come back unless our friends ask us to. So almost nearly there in every respect but not quite. 3.75/5 rounding up to 4.
