I wanted my wife and I to digest what really happened. I wanted to determine if the ladies of "Organized Life" really did what I paid them to do. First, let me preface by saying if you are a horder, you may have a difficult time with their service. They are not there to go through every piece of garbage you may find valuable and also be your therapist. That would take FOREVER, and this isn't a reality TV show. However, what it is, is a superb service. If you have found yourself living comfortably numb, and have just accumulated STUFF over the years and realize one day that it is time to make a change. They are the crew to help you purge and organize. Molly, Marie and the 3rd girl's name eludes me. For that I sincerely apologize because she was no less outstanding. These young ladies came in, assessed and got busy. We hired them to clear and organize our garage that we used as a storage for years. Stuff we had not touched in 15 years. Some new, but most old. One of the best things I think that this crew possesses is the ability to relate to the homeowner in such a way that the homeowner is not feeling trampled upon, BUT at the same time respectfully probing and prodding to move the process of purging along. Nobody wants to get rid of things they find value in, but if you haven't touched the stuff in several years, what are you really doing? Our reason to hire these ladies was two fold. 1st, we want to prepare to buy another house and move. 2nd, we have gotten older and our bodies physically don't hold up to continously, non stop physical labor as they once did. Needless to say, these ladies had our garage cleared out in about 1.5hrs...maybe an hour and twenty minutes and ready for my wife and I to sift and sort. The sifting and sorting is ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY what takes the longest in the entire process. I can honestly say these girls did in a day what would have probably taken months for my wife and I to finish ourselves...if at all. These girls NAILED IT! They strategized, improvised, and organized. There has been a weight lifted!

Between working and school full time, combining two homes, and kids coming home from college I couldn't catch up. When I would try to organize and put things away I wouldn't know where to start. These wonderful ladies came in and lifted so much stress off my shoulders. Everything has its place, they found things I forgot I had and purged what I didn't need. They worked their butts off and I couldn't be more thankful. Totally non-judgmental and so sweet. I highly recommend!!

She took detailed measurements of our semi walk-in closet, walked us through options, showed samples, and gave us a price on the spot, no pressure at all. The next day, Julie emailed a detailed virtual rendering of our closet, which really helped confirm our vision. After we decided to move forward, the contract was thorough, so be sure to read everything carefully before signing. We submitted our deposit on October 15th and received a December 1st installation date. A week before, we got a confirmation call with our arrival window. On install day, Aaron arrived right on time, friendly and professional, with another installer joining him. They completed the entire install and cleanup in about 2.5 hours. Overall, the process from design to installation was smooth and professional. My only drawback is the price, which is on the higher end compared to competitors. Even without premium finishes, it felt a bit steep for the quality of shelving. Overall, it was a great experience. If money is no object or you have a high price point, California Closets can design and build you a pretty extravagant storage system.

    Facts: Tamara showed up 5/25 on time for the estimate, and…read morewanted to barter cleaning for a $500 couch I was selling, (through its own ordeal, she pickup up the couch on 5/31). She told me that since I was a referral I would get the $145/hr rate instead of $165, and if I paid cash I could take another 10% off of that, but when it came down to it she said $145/hr was the cash price. Initial estimate was 4-6 hours, $870 max. She told me she would come with a 4 person crew and "knock the cleaning out", but she only showed up with 3 and that 3rd person left 2 hours into the clean. When I asked how that affected total cleaning time stated not much because that person was old and only counted as 1/2 a person, so she really only showed up with 2.5 people to do my clean. Tamara and her crew spent 4 hours at my house and did not finish, she said she was tired and wanted to do a good job and and there was "a baby issue", she would take 2 more hours to do the kitchen and garage, but just in case asked for 3 total, which I approved. She complained about the job Clint was doing on the floors and said he would need to redo them, I pointed out some areas that were missed on the ground. I was leaving on vacation the next day and could not empty the garage for the cleaning, she offered to empty it and put everything back and not charge me for the time, which I approved. I texted her photos of all the areas that were missed and asked her to keep the boxes that were in the corner of the garage separate and put them back because they were to be to be installed by the furnishers. Tamara and her 2 other cleaners arrived at 0930 on 6/6 and took 4 hours to clean the kitchen and garage. 2 hours longer than her original estimate and 1 hour longer than her "just in case". I received an invoice for $674 while on vacation, the math was not math'ing so I called her and we went through her math together on the phone and ended up at $544, she had no explanation for how she was trying to overcharge me $130 other than she was sick at the time she wrote the invoice up. She asked for payment through venmo instead of a credit card, I said not until someone inspects the property. My furnishers did not find the boxes where they were supposed to be, they were all mixed up and put back randomly in the garage, they said she did a good job cleaning other than some dirt/dust overlooked in the corners, I paid via venmo which was a big mistake. Final total $1044 with couch credit. I inspected my property upon returning 6/12 & 6/13, none of the missed spots I texted her about were addressed, multiple window screens were dirty and reinstalled incorrectly, shutters in garage weren't even touched, many missed spots in kitchen. I sent pictures and told her I was not happy, she said shed come fix it that day and then 2 hours later said she couldn't and said she could go the following day. I instead asked for a 2 hour refund since thats how long it would take her to fix everything, she ranted about being a small business blah blah, I told her so was I and she was delaying my business now. She agreed, asked if she could send it next week since she had payroll taxes, ok. She sent an email on 6/23 saying shed refund me on 7/15, called to tell me it would be much sooner she just wanted some cushion, BUT she wanted to make this right. 7/15 came and went, no refund, I followed up on 7/17 at 0815 & received a reply of "I'm working on it". 7/26 and still no refund. Opinion: Tamara is dishonest, and constantly over-promises and under-delivers. I feel that she took advantage of the situation & intentionally took longer to clean my house to compensate for the cost of the couch. She promised a lot and didn't deliver, then tried to overcharge me until I called her out with her own math. Very unprofessional with no integrity, stay away, there are plenty of other cleaners out there that do a better job for less than 1/2 the price. Everything in this review besides this last paragraph is factual, and I have pictures, emails, screen shots, text threads, videos from Ring and CCTV cameras to back it all up.

    WOW is all we can say. Carrie and August were fantastic. We hired Treasures to Find to do a living…read moreestate sale (which several companies will not do) because we needed to de-clutter so we could list our house for sale. That gave them challenges as far as which rooms were open and which items were not to be sold. Worse, the week of the sale, AT&T decided to drill for fiber and close all street parking on our street! But Carrie and co. pivoted to a Sat-Sun sale instead of Fri-Sat with no problem. It took them several days to sort through, set up and price everything. We were not to be there the days of the sale and had to be out of the way during setup so we just went out of town for the week--that's how trustworthy Treasures to Find is! Nothing was stolen or broken. Carrie communicated with us most of the way so we were in the know. Even better, for a fee, they removed everything that wasn't sold after the sale so we came home to a nice empty place. Only downside/suggestions for improvement would be better retention of communications--we had to reiterate our wishes and specifics several times--totally understandable due to their having multiple sales going on simultaneously, but it would be good to write all that down so nothing is forgotten. (Only a couple items were sold that we didn't want sold, but the really important stuff was not, and that's what mattered.) Make sure you make your wishes clear and ask as many questions up front. Marketing was GREAT. They generated a lot of pre-interest via their website, Facebook and elsewhere. And when all was over, what a pleasant surprise! Gross sales and net profits were about 5x what we expected, even with their commission! Carrie and August were nicely surprised as well. We give Treasures to Find our highest recommendation!
