I stayed here with family over memorial weekend and really wanted to like the place. I think it's a neat facility, but unfortunately, appears to have fallen into disrepair. They have awesome kids pools, but they were all closed for maintenance. There is however a fairly small but nice playground that our 2yr old grandson thoroughly enjoyed. Our house had A/C issues, it never did get down to the low 70's which we set it for despite being a fairly mild weekend. The whole family got a kick out of the watching the ground hogs which are everywhere! We saw very little of the staff which seemed odd but not a problem, and they were very friendly. With the closest lake access being a couple minutes driving distance, and the closest beach being even further, the pool not working left us very little to do on site. If you do go to the beach, be aware that the entry line is insanely slow and chaotic. People yelling at each other and a police presence, After about 10 minutes in line, we along with several other vehicles left without ever getting in. I suspect the earlier you go the better chance you have. read more

I booked a 4 bedroom cottage and they gave it away right in front of me and then tried to gaslight me by saying I only booked a 2 bedroom. I showed up to check in and while i was in line I overheard the people in line beside me. They were surprised and happy that they had only booked a 2 bedroom and they were given a 4 bedroom. When I came up to check in they told me that I had booked a 2 bedroom and that they were out of 4 bedroom units. That's not possible because they have limits on how many people are allowed to book a 2 bedroom unit. I went out and got my phone and showed them the reservation that clearly showed my reservation for my family of 7 that was booked for a 4 bedroom. They told me they had none left. I asked them if we could get two 2 bedrooms and switch to a 4 bedroom when one became available. They said they would have one available 2 days later and we waited 20 minutes for them to get it straightened out. They assured us that they would put priority on getting our place ready first thing Sunday so we could get moved early in the day. I also asked if we could have a restaurant voucher for our trouble. They gave us a $60 voucher for 7 people that didn't even cover 5 of us and had an 18% gratuity automatically added. Our cottage wasn't ready early as promised so we decided to go swim while waiting. When our room was finally ready Sunday afternoon we all packed up and left the pool, picked up our cards from the office and went to move our stuff only to find out that they had already deactivated our cards at the first cottages. We had to go back to the office where we were gaslit again. They told us they didn't deactivate the cards and we must have accidently de magnetized our cards. All 3 cards! Yeah right! When we got home I called to try to get a partial refund and was told to call Expedia. They lied and told Expedia that I booked a 2 bedroom and denied my request and made a big deal that they compensated me with the $60 restaurant coupon. Expedia had my booking right in front of them and didn't even fight for me. This was the first time in 11 years that were able to take a family vacation and our first vacation ever with our grandkids. Our daughter has an illness that limits her ability to travel and we had this small window of time to all be together and our first 2 nights together were taken from us. As much as we paid for this place I expected to get what I paid for and not to be gaslit and treated so poorly. The place was otherwise nice and we would have come back but after this, NOT A CHANCE! read more

The only reason for the 2 star and not a 1 star is because Sharon at the front desk is amazing and because the bed and bathroom are clean, which are the basics for a stay. Also, there's a really cute marmot and a cute skunk on property too. Outwardly, the places look nice, but once you look at the details, you realize how run down this place really is. We are owners and needed to spend points as we couldn't roll them over nor save them. I wonder exactly where my HOA is going to, but it's definitely NOT this property. We ended up in a 2 bedroom cottage after issues with 2 studios in their Lakeside building (see my review in the Lakeside property). The cottage seemed super nice when we first got in here after our studio debacle, but you can see there are water leaks, mismatched ceiling paint (prob a fix to a water leak), AC broke after 2 days when it's been 95+ outside, a broken lamp in the downstairs bedroom, exterior lock not put on correctly, and deep gouges in the floor. Most of the cottages have cracked siding and missing roof shingles (prob the reason for water leaks). We looked up staying here out of pocket and realized that staying a week in a 2 bedroom cottage costs $100 more for the week than our HOA for 75k points. Also, 75k points gets you a week in a 2 bedroom cottage in Jan/Feb. For Aug, you can only get the studio in their dilapidated building. The hot tub at the lighthouse is cooler than Table Rock Lake and about the temperature of the pool. The main pool by check in seems nicer and is great for kids. One of the doors in women's restroom is missing from the stall and the steel in the men's restroom is rusted. Not sure how hard it is to get replacements. One nice thing is that it's away from the center of Branson so it's quiet. Stay away from this property and Capital Vacations. Our AC stopped working and we dealt with it as it was 73° so not unbearable, but on our last day, it was 86°. We told the front desk and asked for a portable AC, which they said they only had a fan. The AC tech came out and when pulling the breaker to work on it properly, the breaker box became separated from the siding. Unfortunately for us, the AC wasn't fixed but the tech left a box fan. The box fan was NOT going to work for the 86° temp so we decided to pack up and check out. Michelle was super apologetic at the desk and offered to move us to another unit, but we didn't think it was worth it since it was going to be less than 6 hours. After being home for a few hours, 11 hrs away, I received a call from Carla checking up on our AC complaint and wondering if our unit had cooled down. WHAT?? As soon as you check in, they try to sell you a time share. The AC didn't work on the second floor. It has obviously been an issue since there were three fans in the closets. We waited over an hour for a manager to get off the phone. We never got to speak to a manager. Luckily we were able to be moved to a different unit. The parking is a free for all. Some units have spots and some don't. The restaurant was nice. The pool was so cloudy that you couldn't see your feet. We booked through VRBO and were charged $100 more than the printed bill from the resort. We will not be back. read more

Our toddlers watched a dry kiddie pool for three days this summer because they didn't have enough people. Sad we used to love this place so much. Staff seems defeated and management are rude and confrontational. We spent THOUSANDS on this trip. They agreed to refund us, and now are refusing to do so. We stayed here recently in June, before our stay they called to let us know the splash park wasn't working but stated the other 2 pools were. We got our family ready to swim only to find out no pools were working! I have asked for a partial refund or any time of compensation and have received nothing from Stormy Point Village or booking.com. We were on vacation and expected to be able to swim so I had to spend an extra $300 at another hotel just to swim! I wouldn't count on this place to resolve any issue, I have been in contact with them and booking.com for days and have received nothing! It was cute and could be a nice place if it was maintained. The concept is awesome. It's a neat place. But, our cottage was really worn. The faux bricks were falling off the foundation. Paint chips and scratches were everywhere. The AC vent upstairs was not blowing any air, leaving it very hot. I checked the AC furnace and it was so covered in filth it was almost completely clogged. That still didn't fix the vent, but at least the cottage got cooler. Maintenance came out and looked at it twice and did nothing. The TV's had to be fixed. The floors were filthy and I had to buy swiffers to clean them myself. My daughters bare feet were covered in dirt. There were several spider webs throughout the house, with spiders still in them. It was an easy fix to knock them down, so why didn't the cleaning service? All of these issues left us up until 11 the first night. The manager never called me, as requested. The main pool's foam liner was peeling and you couldn't see your feet below you it was so cloudy. Not only was the gym very small and dated... like 90's equipment, but it was disgusting. It smelled like hockey locker rooms. Overall, I'm glad we stayed. The experience was cool, but we won't come back. The cottages and the gym need updated/refurbished badly. will begin with the good points of Stormy Point Village. The house itself was just as described. It was clean and well appointed. That is where the positives end. The day before checking in, I was informed that the waterpark on the property was not operational. When we arrived, it was clear that it had not been operational for quite some time. I received three separate phone calls and two text messages during our three nights stay from the office. Each one of those calls or messages made it seem as if it was very important that I get back to them. The only thing they wanted to do was to get me to sit through a two hour marketing meeting to buy a timeshare. I explained each and every time that we are traveling with small children and we are not interested. I would have never returned the other calls had they told me that it was just going to be more pressure to buy something. Each of these five separate times that I was contacted, I had to stop my vacation to find out what was going on.. Whatever you do, do not eat at the restaurant. There were five of us plus an infant and we each ordered something different. Not one of us had an edible meal. In fact, one of us became very ill that evening. In addition to that, they put a large group surcharge onto the bill, which clearly did not apply to our party of five. The waitress did not inform us of the additional fee and pretended that she was surprised. We were left to find it ourselves. That's not the only financial problem. We were charged THREE separate times for our visit. We left 48 hours ago and these charges are still not corrected. To be clear, we were OVERCHARGED $1400! First, they claimed that they couldn't see the duplicate charges. When we showed them from our bank statement online, we were told that it would be corrected immediately. That was on Thursday. No correction was made before we left on Sunday. After returning home, instead of correcting the original duplicate charge, we were charged yet again! The customer service agent was rude when we called to inform them of the problem. We are turning this entire matter over to our bank's fraud department. What a nightmare! read more

The resort has very cute cottages and the theme is fun. Very family friendly. They give a hard sell on timeshares when you check in, but we're very comfortable saying no so it wasn't a big deal for us. The pool is on the small side but my kids still had a great time. They need to clean up empty drink cups more often, and other small trash items. There weren't many trash cans around so people were just leaving it when they left. Our cottage was comfortable and perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the decor and that the master bedroom was upstairs, which gave us some privacy. We had to ask for beach towels at the front desk; there were none in our cottage. Only one bathroom had tissues and all toiletries were on the cheap side. read more

I'll start with the positive: great condos and awesome pool for little ones. That being said, I will NEVER stay there again due to customer service. We were told check in is at 4pm. We get there at 4 and wait until almost 5 for our unit to be ready. We were told (direct quote from front desk): "check in starts at 4 but it can take up to 4 or 5 hours for a unit to be cleaned and since yours is still being cleaned it could be 8 or 9 before it's ready." Mind you, we had a 3 and 1 year old. When told to "go use the pool until the unit is ready" (again, 8 or 9 pm is possible), we said we didn't want to, we wanted to get situated in the room we paid for. The front desk lady replied "I don't know why you have such a problem with what I've suggested, I wouldn't. We are completely booked, what do you want me to do about it?" Finally the unit was ready and we got settled in. Here's the kicker: The floor was so dirty, our white socks and bare feet turned black within 2 hours of being there. We went and bought a mop to clean the floor it was so disgusting. By the way, check out time is no later than 11 am. Which is fine expect if you're late, they charge up to 75 dollars per hour. Which means you can't be late to check out, but they can be up to 5 hours late to check you in and you still pay as if you checked in at 4 pm. Also, we were one of MANY families who didn't have their unit ready. Other families literally had to drive back home (some drove over 4 hours) because they wouldn't have a unit ready for them on the day they reserved. The resort itself is rundown. Shows signs of being on its last stand. They will oversell time shares constantly, and their "events" which are overpriced and not worth the hassle. People speed all through the "resort" Spent $30 to attend their "Breakfast with the Stars". They were over half hour late, and it's gas station buffet style food with people bombarding and herding like cattle. The performers were late, or at least just constantly outside smoking. Had to leave and waste the $30 because it was just frustratingly bad. Learn from my mistake- if you come, enjoy the pool and amenities, but avoid anything they charge for. read more

After agreeing to pay a $99 "one time fee" for a vacation package through Capital Vacations - the terms & conditions were emailed to me. outlining all of the excessive fees that will be due in the future and when I arrive at the "free vacation" granted I do own another time share and was interested in exploring this time share so I anticipated needing to attend the event, be reimbursed $100 etc etc etc. However no one could answer my questions honestly about extra resort fees, "upgrade fees" and all of the fees that add up to an expensive vacation. In reality you can book the same vacation for cheaper yourself and NOT attend the timeshare presentation. Within the terms & conditions it states you can request a refund within 30 days - I called the # provided. I was told someone else would call me back. No one called me back, I called again. Same response. Capital Vacations doesn't want to refund you even though in the terms & conditions it outlines how to request a refund. read more

The nicest quality about this place is picturesque, my family calls this place whoville. We stayed here 10 years ago when it was new and pretty and nice but this time around you can tell how much wear and tear is in these cottages, paint wearing down and fading, siding cracking, weather veins are missing or broken exc exc. The floor is dirty, filthy and turns your feet black. Our ice machine leaked so it froze all of the ice cubes together. The bathrooms are not deep cleaned and moldy, and it seems that way because the staff only has 6 hours to clean all of the cottages before the next guests come in due to the way these timeshares are set up. The floor was filthy and turned our feet black. The banister is dirty, the walls are dirty, there are cracks and chips on everything. Where is the $1000 maintenance fee we pay going?? It obviously is NOT being invested in these cottages and their upkeep. Our cottage has plants and trees that are so overgrown you cannot see the freaking house number. We couldn't find it in the dark on our first night. The steps are incredibly steep and no handrail for my handicapped mother to get in. We called to have the maintenance team spray the wasps nest on the front porch and they said they would do it at 10:30 pm and they never sprayed, leaving us to wack it down with a broom. They are stingy about towels and sheets and they will NOT switch them out for you. They expect you as a guest to wash them yourself. As a "high end" resort, I was very disappointed by this. I should be able to enjoy my vacation and not have to waste my time doing laundry. I also recommend bringing paper plates, cutlery, plastic cups so that you are not wasting your precious vacation time doing dishes. We visited both of their pools and the one by the clubhouse was unbelievably dirty, we were swimming with goggles and couldn't find our diving toys because of how murky the water was. I had to be about a half a foot from the bottom before I could see what the floor looked like. When we went to the pool by the lighthouse it was much clearer due to less people visiting it. My father was also getting hackled EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. With phone call after phone call to plan a meeting so that they can make commission and try and manipulate you into upgrading. The constant nagging made it impossible to actually enjoy our stay. I also advise to not bring your boat like my family did. They own their own boat dock but don't let anyone use it. We had to drive 15 minutes away to put the boat in the water at a launch. We were able to park the boat trailer at the bottom of the hill for free but omg all those tight turns while hauling a boat? So scary. Branson has a lot of fun activities to offer but I will try my best to not stay here again. read more

The first year we thought we just didn't know how to use it correctly. So we went to their dinners they hosted. They wined and dined is like we were important. They then told us that if we upgraded we would be able to use it even more places. And so we upgraded and now we are ADMIRALS. Now being ADMIRALS we went to a meeting and again they wanted us to do something else(of which I can't remember because I was so done). We told the guy that we were done spending more money and not going to upgrade to anything else. We never NOT ONE TIME EVER met with the same salesman. So we were never able to confront the last years salesman with the lies they told us. The newest salesman told us after we were blunt and told him we were not changing, "please don't mistake my kindness for weakness. You will not be able to do anything with your timeshare if you don't upgrade. Summer winds have you where they want you."At this point he just walked out and said "good luck". I would be happy if this company completely fails and goes bankrupt. This company has stolen from me,my brother, our wives and our kids. They have taken years of vacations from us. Now they have new ownership (Capital Vacations) and I'm sure they will offer many promises that they will not keep. We looked up their reviews and out of 33 reviews they have a 1.9 star rating. So following the directions on the sheet that we were sent, driving around in the dark, it takes us to the wrong clubhouse where there's no one. We call the number on the sheet and the clerk says oh yeah you're in the wrong place. We showed him the address on the sheet and he said yeah I've told my boss she needs to fix it, but I guess it's not a priority. Meanwhile, people are driving around in the dark going to the wrong place when all they wanna do is get in and get settled. No coffee filters, no shampoo, remote controls were broken and half haphazardly taped together, floors were sticky. Can't say that I would recommend it. read more

My experience with Capital has been nothing short of a nightmare. Offered a paltry settlement of $24,000 after an unreasonable discount of $17,000, I boldly declared that I should not be liable for anything and ought to be released from my contract, given the circumstances. Engaging with them directly has been frustrating to say the least. Their approach and conduct are the antithesis of what customer service is supposed to embody. It is absolutely unacceptable and not something I would expect from a reputable company. We've been coming to Stormy for years, my sister and brother-in-law are owners. We come every 2 years. Unfortunately in the last 2 years it looks as though things have declined a bit. Our house was definitely not cleaned well at all and it shows!! The floors were filthy!!! My white socks were brown after only a few minutes being there. I spent the first hour + cleaning surfaces, food stains/chucks off the table, food/toothpaste off walls, etc. What a bummer. I went the next day and bought floor cleaner to clean the floors. Walls are getting dingy(hand prints/scratches). The thermostat was covered in dirt/drips (not sure), that was running down the wall??? Every lamp shade was loose and leaning sideways. Our bedroom had a huge bug splat stain on the ceiling right above our bed. The AC/furnace filter cover came loose, so I loosened it to fix it. OMG, the filter!! I'm not sure if it's ever been changed, so I called maintenance to come change it. (They did) Our coffee maker was broke the first morning, took 30 minutes for just one cup. They did replace it for us, the next wasn't much better. Employees have been "ok"?! Some pretty friendly and eager to help, others NOT SO MUCH. We had ants in the kitchen and random other places....thankfully not terrible, or we would have been out! Overall the house is ok, after we cleaned it up. Not what we're supposed to do on my vacation. All pools were open upon arrival, until day 2 the biggest pool at Pirate's Harbor got drained and then was never up and running before we left...sad. One thing they really need to rethink is the pool bar...it closes at 9, but the pool closes at 10. Super annoying!! One of the biggest bummers for myself and my husband, they got rid of STARBUCKS! So sad...again why?? Everyone loves coffee!! The restaurant at Pirate's Harbor was another disappointment...they are no longer owned my Capital Vacations, it's now local. It's not AT ALL what it used to be. The menu is tiny! We used to loved the food here. Wouldn't recommend at all unless last resort. I ate my salad with a flimsy plastic fork. Stormy just doesn't feel the same this time. The vibe is a buzz killer! Trust me Stormy...clean the houses better, open up Starbucks again, keep the bar open longer and fix the food situation! The guests will be HAPPIER! And please put another hot tub in at Pirate's Harbor!! With all that said, we still enjoyed ourselves for the most part. Definitely hope these things improve. read more

In town for a couple of days for TG with family. We got a one bedroom and an adjoining studio at the Lakeside property. The building is 4 story high with multiple units outside of the village. Some view of the lake and really close access to the marina. Best location to be in the summer when all the summer sport activities are running. But in the dead of winter, outside of the gates of the village, the lakeside building feels like an outcast. I must say that the layout is more open compared to the layout of the cottages. The two bedroom, living room, full kitchen, 2 bathroom, 2 laundry units and a kitchenette worked out perfectly. Two balconies were also a bonus. Hubby used the gym which he said was pretty decent. We also bad breakfast at Salty Dog Cafe, which I think was overpriced and below par. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly especially the guys at the gate. Next visit is definitely going to be a week long vacation in the summer. read more

If this place is in any way related to Capital Vacations, then stay away. We went to a time share presentation and it really went well until the very end. We told them no, Sanndy our sales person, got quite mean at the end. We politely said NO and she didn't want to hear that! So, just know, don't be pressured into buying something that you may regret!! The deal was for 120 minutes and that is an agreement or contract you have with them. I set my timer and at 2:45 hours, I told them that we were finished and so they simply took their time in finalizing everything. Having been to many of these, we would say they were THE worst and least professional or at least became very unprofessional at the end. It simply serves no one to be that way. The resort itself is great! The cottages are very nice and well-equipped. The downside started the moment we tried checking in. We were picking up our parking pass and were essentially held hostage until we signed up for an owners meeting. We tried MANY times telling the man we didn't want to attend. We were on vacation and didn't want to spend hours listening to a sales pitch. We finally gave in so we Could get on with our day. They charge you $40 for the reservation for the owner meeting to ensure you show up. Let me tell you, my time and sanity are worth more than $40. I will NEVER attend another owners meeting with Capital. We showed up to our meeting on time. We were pleasant and the "salesperson" was pleasant in the beginning. When I stated questioning things that we' were told in the past, he began to get hostile and essentially called me a liar. I just wanted answers to the very few questions I had. He treated each question as an accusation and never answered me and kept cutting me off. We finally decided to just leave. Such frustration with these fools. It's like they go out of their way to bully you into something. I think they knew they weren't going to sell us on anything and walked us out. If you're already a Capital Vacations owner, we sympathize with all the frustrations you deal with. If you aren't, DO NOT sign up. I repeat, DO NOT sign up. We met family here as a half way point. To start we where greeted at check in and things where fine. Than they sent us to the ticket counter (for shows etc) to get a parking pass. They wanted to set us up for time share presentation. After several no's we finally just walked away. Even as he was screaming my name. This immediately left a bad impression. The cottage was ok. No views, landscaping needs trimmed. In morning even sitting outside you here the side by side running through the neighborhood. They ask you to set trash out each morning. Problem is you see it most of the day and some animals got into trash. The first night at the pool was out of control children who kept running over my 5 year old daughter. Also a group unsupervised. I had to ask them to stop several times as the group was rowdy. The pool area offers some shade, very small and it gets crowded. Very hot concrete by pool FYI. If we did go back to Branson I would not stay here or recommend this place. This place has potential. read more

We absolutely loved this place! The cottages are so cute and clean and are decorated in a nautical theme that fits in with the entire property. The staff are very friendly and the pools areas are clean as can be. We will be going back. read more

Let me start off by saying my experience with Stormy Point Village Branson, MO does not even deserve 1 star. We made our reservations in April of 2024 for vacation in August 2024. Family vacation for Grandparents, Mom, Dad and 2 granddaughters. Picked Stormy Point based on pictures that looked very appealing for 3 granddaughters to enjoy (pool, waterslide, play area etc). Several emails and confirmations when reservations were made. The week before payment was put on credit card per reservation agreement. Sunday afternoon before our arrival on Friday we got a very nice voicemail from Stormy Point confirming our reservation for check in on Friday and letting us know everything was set and looking forward to our arrival. Sounds all good right? We are all set to leave early Friday morning Grandaughters are excited. We get a phone call Thursday afternoon from Stormy Point saying they are overbooked and had to cancel our reservation. Said they could move us to their "sister company" down the road and we could use their pool and waterslide which was the reason we booked with them in the first place. So you are telling me that when you took payment on Thursday, called to verify with us on Sunday you didn't know you were overbooked?? Sorry that is just poor management on somebody's part. We ended up finding a very nice place on our own with several phone calls on our drive to Branson. After reading some other reviews on here it sounds like we weren't the only ones that have had this happen to. Being proactive and booking accomodations 4 months in advance, getting confirmation, paying for it in advance does not mean you have a place to stay. Lesson learned. read more

I like to call this place my home away from home. Peaceful and tucked away from the strip of Branson. While I love Branson and consider it my second home, I love staying at the Stormy Point Village. I must say, this was not too bad of a stay but definitely had a few hiccups upon arrival. The managers corrected it but we had to leave for a couple of hours upon our choice not to look at the maintenance man. It was clean and as always roomy. The cottage amenities are amazing with full kitchen, washer/dryer and 2 full bathrooms. They have two pools on site, lighthouse to walk in and also a cafe. Daily activities to partake in without ever having to leave the grounds. They also sit right off the lake of Table Rock. I would recommend this to anyone looking to experience Branson with a slow pace. read more

Capital Vacations, the owner of Stormy Pointe, is an absolute joke. The timeshare presentation turned from a two hour presentation into much longer, due to the, for lack of a better word, harrassment by the representatives. Would not take no for an answer, got very personal, and became hostile. The worst experience we've ever had in the many years visiting Branson. Completely unprofessional behavior. If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. read more

This place is great! Very nice place to stay with extremely well-kept facilities. It has 2 different pool areas, workout facilities, on-site Starbucks, nice restaurant, etc. My whole group loved the cottages you stay in and really enjoyed our time there. The only downside is having to pay an extra $25 for Wifi, but since it covers a full week it's not so bad! read more

We've stayed here a couple of years in a row. This yr we rented a 3 bdrm house and immediately noticed the changes. A new company took over and the grounds were clean, towels were always available, pool restaurant was actually open (great food & drinks by the way) & no pests!!! Great job considering the changes due to COVID 19. Last yr we rented a 2 bdrm house and the development was run by a different management company. There were issues with fire ants, no towels, raccoons right outside our doors, no trash pick up & filthy wood floors. The wood floors inside the homes still definitely need a deep steam clean, but we know now to bring flip flops or slippers when staying here. In other years prior to COVID 19, they have a lot of free entertainment in the mornings. Our kids loved swimming with mermaids and Reza the illusionist. read more

Capital Vacations who owns Stormy Point are shady and are dishonest. They are misleading front their vendors around Branson. We were promised a free vacation which turned out to be through a third party who charges fees for the vacation. We were also promised show tickets which were not provided. A 90 minute presentation turned into 3.5 hours. read more
