My husband and I were traveling from MI to Gainesville Raceway in Florida for him to race. The axle broke on the trailer in Gainsville and we had to get a new axle. We ended up taking the trailer to Texas Trailer Repair. They were not sure how soon they could get an axle, so we had to store race car while we waited. The trailer recommended StorQuest which was only a couple miles away. The woman at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She found a unit that worked perfect for us. She took care of all our concerns and said not only is the place gated, well lit and has security cameras, she also keeps a close eye on those going in and out. She said it's a very safe place and we need not worry about the car. There was a special going on the first month, so we only had to pay $30 and if we stayed longer, the second month would be $128, which is very reasonable. We ended up only needing the unit 5 days and when my husband picked up the car she asked him to call and let her know he got back home safe. I've been doing business with Access Self Storage for almost 5 years and have been very happy with them. The facility is very clean and well maintained. Steve, the manager, is very responsive to his customers. They maintain the grounds well, including pest control. I've never felt the slightest bit of concern with security either. This was an excellent experience. The entire property is super clean and Steve the manager is really easy to work with. Within 15 minutes all the paperwork was done and I was moving boxes into my unit. Hint- bring a copy of your renters or homeowners insurance to avoid having to pay for insurance with StorQuest. I will not be using this storage facility in the future and I advise others to avoid if possible. I have stored here before and didn't experience any issues, however this time around our storage unit was invaded by rodents and there were several pieces of furniture destroyed along with rodent urine and feces all over my belongings. After contacting the insurance recommended we were informed that Rodents were not covered under the policy and the company itself would not be responsible for the compensation of our destroyed furniture. I have been in contact with the manager of the property and the corporate office to no avail. We are at a loss and find that this shouldn't be allowed to happen to people paying money to store there belongings in this facility. read more

I got my unit back in 2011 and kept it for 7 years. All of my belongings were in perfect condition when I cleaned out the unit. This was a fantastic, downright enjoyable experience. I needed a place to temporarily store my belongings after moving from Virginia to Florida, and my interactions with staff both online and in-person were easy, friendly, and made me feel valued and important. I reserved a 10x15 climate-controlled space and expected I would need to do a ton of walking back and forth from my U-haul while transferring my stuff, but luckily my unit was literally right next to the door, which made unloading much easier. The rates are affordable and perfect for someone like me who's only just starting out and needs to save as much as possible. Best of all, I had a terrific conversation while waiting up front for Steve, the manager, to finish entering all my information into the system. AWFUL experience with this company. I was trying to leave Gainesville to get home for Winter Break so I tried to arrange getting my code/lock for the storage unit before I arrived with my stuff. They said to wait until day of and that the entire process will only take 15 minutes. I showed up the day of with a truckload of stuff and saw a sign on the door that said "gone for an hour." This was at 1 pm so during regular business hours. I stood outside the facility with my boyfriend and called the 24/7 number to see if I could get my gate code that way and the lady working there came out and started yelling at us that they were closed. We politely said she should have her lunch break posted on the website so that people do not come by during it and she proceeded to threaten to call the police. Not sure exactly what was wrong with standing in the parking lot of a business establishment you want to use during regular business hours trying to contact said business. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. I would recommend the place next door as the man working there is extremely nice and the business is actually open during regular business hours. DO NOT LET THE CHEAP PRICES LURE YOU IN, especially if you are a college student. I can promise you that the rude woman in the office would not have yelled at a middle age couple the way she did at us. read more
