Very good storage place. Lots of options on sizes, and they have climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled units. I have seen other places, and this facility seemed very clean and well-kept compared to other storage places around town. The manager/owner was in the office himself and was very nice and helpful. They offer boxes and other moving/packing equipment for sale if you need it. Also, there is surveillance and it is out of the way of everything, making it a place that is not very susceptible to theft. The only complaint I have is that they do not pro-rate their rates if you only want to stay for part of a month - instead you still have to pay for the whole month. With that being said, Interstate Mini Storage is still a great option for storage units in Gainesville. 4 stars out of 5, simply because of the lack of pro-rated rates. read more

What a great storage experience in Gainesville! I needed a small unit for my child who is a student at UF. I was able to call and talk to a real person who talked me through what size I would need, making sure to ask all the right questions along the way, ensuring I booked the perfect unit. Then, I was able to make a reservation over the phone (I think they do it online, too). When I got there, they had all my paperwork ready to go, my unit open for me, and a dolly to borrow to get the dorm fridge from the car to the unit. The place is very, very clean and the people in the office are just super. They even gave me a deal on some boxes I needed for the last of the stuff -- wish I'd thought to get them sooner! I've been a customer of Interstate Mini Storage for nearly five years, and I couldn't be more satisfied. The location is extremely convenient, near I-75 and Butler Plaza -- a short drive from my home in Haile Plantation. The facility is always kept up, from well-working doors, to properly air conditioned units, to regularly cleaned drives, office, and hallways. The gate is really cool, and a neat use of space -- you'd have to see it to understand. One of the things I like best about Interstate is that they have a number of solar panels on their roofs. I imagine that this investment has allowed them to keep their costs so low! If you need storage, I highly recommend this place. If you visit others and then visit this one, you'll see the difference right away! read more

A few months ago, I drove around town looking to see how all the storage places compared. Someone had recommended these guys, but I still like to do my research. Another place in town gave me a coupon for $10 off my rate if I returned and signed for a unit with them, but interstate mini had a special that you could get half off your first month of rent if you signed for 3 months. This was perfect (and a great deal because I think I saved about 50 bucks) due to my moving schedule. I also enjoy the fact that the location makes it off the beaten path and less susceptible to crime. Overall I'd rate these guys as a 10 out of 10 for service, selection, price, and features. No complaints (and I'm one picky b****). read more

As a first year client with Interstate Mini Storage, I can truly say when I walked in I felt like home and that everyone there was truly there to help and guide you on your decision. They did not pressure me to make a decision I did not want to do but helped me understand what was best for me. When we put our house on the market it was pretty clear we needed to clear out about 1/2 of our stuff in order to show our house. We decided rent a mini storage container and began to look around. Price-wise all of the companies are the same give or take a few $ which is not enough of a reason to risk your junk being ruined, or stolen by unscrupulous companies. I used Interstate to store a bunch of my stuff when transitioning out of Gainesville to Washington, DC. The facilities are very clean and conveniently located, right off of I-75 on a road with little traffic. With the Florida heat and humidity, I really liked that there were affordable units with A/C. The staff was always extremely friendly and helpful. They really seem to care about their customers. They made my (gradual) move to DC so much easier than it would have otherwise been. Customer service at its best! Not only was the unit air conditioned and the entire complex gated but so easy to get to especially for college kids because its right off of Archer near I-75. Interstate Mini Storage is also budget friendly, they were upfront about any discounts they were offering with no strings attached.
