I had all of my personal belongings stored at this location while I went through some difficulties in my life, and when I was finally at a place where I could go and retrieve them, I discovered my entire unit was mouse infested. Mouse poop, pee, two dead mice, and ruined items galore. I have never seen so much mouse poop/pee all over things in my entire life. We were afraid to touch things in order to move them out because we did not want to contract hantavirus or some other disgusting thing that is spread through rodents. We had to throw away an Ashley Furniture Modular Reclining Sofa, an accent chair, book shelves that were soaked through with so much mouse poop and pee that the wood expanded and turned black, our 9 ft pre-lit tree etc. etc. etc. The tree box was so full of mouse poop that it was obvious a family of them had taken residence just inside that box. So many items that meant a lot to me were ruined by this mouse infestation. To make matters even worse, as we were leaving the storage facility, we were able to catch a mouse on video as it scurried back into the building through a hole in the side. I reached out to the local office and no one would even call me back. I then reached out to corporate office who referred me to some local defuse/defend/deny woman named Stephanie who was so incredibly rude and could not have cared any less about what my family experienced. I was told that if I had paid for their insurance coverage all of my items would have been covered by their buildings' mouse infestation, but since I didn't pay for that option, I was shit out of luck. DO NOT RENT FROM EXTRA SPACE STORAGE UNLESS YOU WANT ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS TO BECOME INHABITED BY LARGE MOUSE INFESTATIONS. These people are heartless and unkind, and not only do they take all your money, they don't care if the things you worked hard for are ruined by their lack of pest control. TOO BAD THEY DON'T USE SOME OF THAT RENT MONEY TO DO PROPER MOUSE CONTROL AT THEIR FACILITIES!!!!!

We have been long term paying customers and are quite frankly disappointed by the continual attempt to snag more money when offering much lower rates on their websites. Our local facility people are awesome and are trying to do their best however they have had 23 move outs in the last month alone due to this constant price gouging. Extra Storage claims they are responding to market research to set their "new" rates however any research you try locally even among their own facilities shows that they are asking way more than is currently being advertised. Shameful treatment of current customers to say the least.

It's no secret that they offer premium fuel at a very competitive prices which rents to often be far less than the competition. The only thing lacking is a small convenience store attached. From personal experience I can safely say the gas they offer lasts much longer than the gas from Phillips 66 and Circle K brands etc. Making it much easier on your wallet. My go to is usually the Murphy's Express fuel because their gas lasts almost as long as Costcos. Honestly if I lived closer to Costco I'd make them my exclusive gas provider but sadly I don't. However I will return the next time I'm in the area or shopping. Until then I'll be hitting up the Murphy's.

I have been using this location on San Antonio for approximately 6 years now to store my motorcycle. Great location near my home and rates are very reasonable. Very easy access in and around the facility. Management is very professional and nice to talk with. I have been storing my Harley Davidson in a 5x10 unit which is a perfect size. As I was moving across state, I communicated in advance that I couldn't be there until after their official closing time and that I was starting work the next morning. Carly went out of her way to be there when I arrived (around 9 PM), helped guide my rig in and had my access key and paperwork ready to sign so that I could unload and be on my way. Even though overcharging customers is illegal I wanted to pay it on the spot so they cant charge any more fees. I was told no. I asked for the contact of corporate and was told there is none. I asked for a number or email and again was told no. She said she only had a cellphone number and would not give it to me. 2 days later I was called by Edward Lacrosse who stated he was corporate but have verified this is false. He was as argumentative and rude as the "manager" and refused service. If you have a unit there check your statements for possible theft. If u dont seek storage literally anywhere else.

The rates are incredibly low compared to many other similar units, and the place is family run, so everything is very much like the old days, where any issues are resolved quickly and with personalized care and attention.
