They're very friendly and approachable and will help you get whatever you need and they can help you whether you're very experienced or it is your first time everybody I've dealt with is pleasant and knowledgeable. Story is by far the worst dispensary in Waldorf. I get there at 8:43pm and they already locked the door and security says they are closed. The sign says their hours are 9am-9pm but the doors close at 8:45pm. So why are the doors locked at 8:43pm. And why have a 9pm close time if you are locking the doors 15mins early. I could understand no more walk ins but t they wouldn't even let me get my preorder and I'm a medical patient. They desperately need new management! If I could give zero stars I would. Dispensary Works or Haven are the best dispensaries in the area. They both have great selections and prices. Don't waste your time at the Story! read more

If I could rate it zero I would first off this dispensary only takes cash and of course it's an atm fee. Once I used the atm I was shorted $40 told the worker and I'm supposed to get a refund electronically. I have been a Medical user since the cannabis program began in MD. I am a disabled veteran. They used to make you get a card but that is not the case anymore. Story has a HUGE sign in front of their store that says "No Card Needed, Just State ID." I had my ID but they had me as a recreational patient which makes no sense. Then they asked me for my medical card which no one uses anymore. I went to my regular dispensary near my home and they had no issues with me being listed as medical. I used to really like this place when it was Zenleaf but it has gone downhill. I will never visit again. read more

They won't give you any product information over the phone. So you have to go in person to see whether or not you want to purchase anything. Their new policy is totally ridiculous and there are too many options not to disclose product info for medical patients over the phone. Also they close earlier than the posted closing time. How do you close the doors at 8:45 but online says you can pick up your order between 8:15-9:00. I get there at 8:50 and the doors are locked and whole store is dark. Has happened to me more than once ... so get there at least an hour before they close or the doors may be locked or security may turn you away. Not worth the drive or hassle and I live 5-10mins away. A bit off the beaten track but worth a visit. The staff were extremely nice and knowledgeable and friendly. The store is rather small, but the prices are on par with the rest of MD's pricing. This is one of the worst dispensaries I've ever experienced. They just don't care here. You take the time to go through the menu, order online, and then drive 30 minutes to get there, only for them to tell you they are out of the thing you ordered online. Thy NEVER keep their inventory up to date. I have complained to them about this and they say they have no control over updating the inventory online. That's got to be BS. ALSO, they always lock the doors much earlier than the posted closing time. They do not mention ANYWHERE on their website that they close the doors early. So they always have a string of angry people who placed orders online , only to arrive to locked doors. I also have complained about this and said it's ridiculous that they don't update their website hours or at least place a warning on the website that the doors are locked 30 minutes before closing. Their response was " we can't update the website only corporate can". She mentioned that "corporate" was out of state. Terrible customer service. Also, the staff have basically no knowledge of the strains they are selling. Seriously, do yourself a favor and drive up to takoma DC and go to TWC. We visit this location at least once a week and have always had great customer service with friendly and knowledgeable bud tenders giving advise and recommendations. However, went to this location for specific merchandise that the website said they had and GRACIE B. said there was none in stock. She wouldn't even get off her stool and look or go in the back. GRACIE B. had the most negative attitude and a lot of negative vibes. She continued to get aggravated and blurted, "I can't make them just appear." GRACIE B. (Wonder what the B stands for?) was the rudest, laziest employer we have ever experienced. And just FYI...... Guess what they had in the back of the store............Dumb employee. read more

If I could give this place a zero star I would, I am extremely frustrated. I submitted an online order at 7:50, I have submitted order's around that time before and haven't had any issues. I arrived at Story in Waldorf at 8:50 and was told that they declined all orders and services for the last 10 minutes before closing. I never received any notification or status that my order was declined or canceled. Instead I received emails and text messages saying that my order is being prepared. The whole point of coming to a dispensary is because it is convenient, but the second dumb shit like this happens it reminds why I don't want to go to stupid ass business like this. This place is convenient I will say that! I went in today and I'm a medical patient. A medical patient came in after me and was called before me.... I had an online order and she didn't.... Why wasn't I taken before? The budtenders seem to be more worried about what music is on than helping get people in and out and what order people are in. My online order is never ready.... I even placed an order and they couldn't sell me the items due to an issue with the barcoding eventhough I received a text saying the order was ready. It wasn't explained to me I was just told I couldn't purchase. Ugh! read more
