Good dive bar tucked away in a nice neighborhood. Good selection of beers, and a New York Rangers sign greets you when you walk in the door. The bartenders are nice and so are the regulars. I saw that they had some food options, and the pizza that the people next to us looked like a decent representation of a bar pie. They also have pinball. Can't be mad at pinball. read more

Celebrating my wife's birthday this weekend we passed by this awesome dive bar for her and her friend to enjoy. Drinks: they offered some really cool drinks and a lot of local microbrews. Definitely good selection even though I don't drink. Service: the bartender's name i do not recall, but she was very nice and patient with us. First ones in for the day anyway. Aesthetic: your standard dive bar, tables about with Ghostbusters pinball in the corner. Kinda homey. read more

Came here for the first time not so long ago for a happy hour. They have a decent selection of beers, I opted for a cider. Come here if you are looking for a dive bar and a spot to drink craft beer, this is not by any means an upscale place. Don't let my review restrain you from coming here, it's just not really my scene as I'm not a huge beer drinker/dive bar person. In the back area room, there is 1 pool table. Beverages are a decent price but the food is bit pricey, I didn't order as it didn't look too appetizing (looks like frozen food just heated up) and the quantity didn't seem to justify the price. My wife and I love to stop in here occasionally for a drink. The place is a small intimate bar that has a very modern look. Plenty of TVs if you want to catch a sports game. The bartender we had was Evelina. We love when she's there. Super friendly and always makes us feel like we are regulars. Their choice of craft beer is out of this world. They have such an amazing variety. Last night a drank a bolero sour from the tap, which I think is way better than from the can. Great dive bar with a fantastic selection of craft beers. I love the fact they have such an awesome following with locals. Stoch's regularly hosts food trucks or BBQ pits outside their restaurant for some awesome food which i can appreciate, i do really wish they had food of their own though. Food here consists of bar pies which is eh... good customer service though, the bar tenders are always very polite and the locals are cool. Ah Stosh's. We've been there a handful of times now and it's always a comfortable time. It's not a crazy bar, it's not too divey. I think the description of it being an "Indie" bar on Instagram is making it sound more pretentious than it is. Yeah they have a few (or more) Weezer posters in there, and that makes us elder millennials feel right at home. There are TWO jukeboxes so if you're hitting up the Touch Tunes make sure you pick the right one for your area (one in the main bar, one by the pool table). Yea they have a pool table, it's easy to miss. Their beer selection is decent. Nothing too extensive but if you want a mile long beer list go to Yardhouse, right? My only wish is that they served food or at least had some recommendations on where to order food. My favorite is when they have food trucks and live music but that's certainly not happening every night so make sure you set your expectations. It's a great little neighborhood bar where you feel right at home. read more

A great bar that is open late with a sort of punk / metal / alternative vibe, you can always find craft beer nerds talking hops and breweries but also the regulars drinking Bud and Coors. They have a bar sized pool table that comes in handy to beat your friends on. What is lacking is their food menu. They have a frozen pizza, pretzel, some nuts and one or two other snacks. They do hold beer events with food trucks. They don't mind you getting food delivered or bringing your own take out. read more

I had this place on my list since I'm into craft beer and I had heard good things. They're very much a dive bar, but with a much better beer selection than the dive bars I'm used to. The owner and bartender were great and I had a nice time there on a Wednesday night! Food selection is limited and it's mostly frozen food, but the homemade pickles were delicious! The food all comes on paper plates which is funny, but it's a place that you come to for beer not food so I'll cut them some slack. I've been coming here for awhile and it's a great spot to have a few beers (especially during happy hour til 7), shoot some pool, throw a few darts, play some old school video games, or check out the tunes on the jukebox. More familiar bottled beers are also available if the rotating selection of drafts doesn't interest you, and there's the usual suspects if you're more into mixed drinks. Love this place! They have a great selection of craft beers, good service and a great, chill atmosphere. I love the seasonal beverages, especially the vanilla stout! They host some fun events on the weekends, so make sure to check those out. It's a great spot to hang out, play some pool, and actually have a conversation with friends because you don't have to shout over loud, crappy music. The new ownership is really coming into it's own. The place has been undergoing a major face lift and is looking and running better than ever. They now have a great variety of craft beer and it's a great atmosphere to go and talk with some friends over a game of pool or darts, without shouting over obnoxiously loud music. Stosh's is the best bar in the area. Bartenders are great, on top of everything, never even at their most busy do you ever have to wait long for a drink and they're super friendly to boot. The beer selection is great, with a constant rotation of craft beers at a very reasonable price. Also it's damn hard to find a place that has a craft beer selection that isn't trying to be pinky out and bourgeois and stosh's is most certainly not that; the place is covered in punk and metal posters and tends to attract that kind of kin, which in northern NJ is a real breath of fresh air. Great beers, great company. Low key but not in a way that is off putting. It's welcoming. They have food trucks on certain days. Totally has gone through a makeover as well. I appreciate the darts, pool table, and juke box. Let's be honest, the northern NJ bar scene is grim. I am so excited that there is finally a local place with craft brews at good prices that is worth hanging out at until the wee morning hours.
