It was busy but we were able to get seats at the bar. Started off with a draft of modelo ($5) and it was nice and cold. Got the Chipotle Grilled Chicken Wrap ($15) and it was really good. It came with fries and I really liked that it was battered and crispy. Their honey mustard ($0.50) is great. Came here on a Tuesday for the prime rib special. It's $24.99 for a prime rib with jus, mashed potatoes and vegetables (as of 6/18/2024). It was good! I enjoyed the prime rib and vegetables, I thought they were seasoned well but the mashed potatoes didn't have much salt and the gravy wasn't for me. I'm usually not at a loss for words on how to describe food but describing the gravy is difficult because it's not something I've tasted before. It tasted bland and had an artificial taste? Like it came from a packet? I could be wrong but it was unique. I wished the gravy was made from the jus of the prime rib. that was yummy. The ambiance was nice! I liked the vibe of the place. It felt lively, even with only a few people (we went early) and there's a ton of tvs so it makes for a nice bar to watch sports. It's also very clean which is wonderful. The service was great too! I went on a Football Sunday . I had called prior to going in and the staff were so nice and told us to come right in that a table would be set up . She also asked what games we wanted to watch so they could accommodate us, which I loved. I ordered garlic shrimp , spinach artichoke dip, and wings. They have great deals and also definitely check out the Happy hour. The shrimp was amazing that I couldn't even get a picture oh and it comes with small garlic breads yum ! I ordered plain wings with sauce on the side . What a crispy wing and the Thai chili sauce was good. I also got Fries with gravy and cheese and a great balance of both . Have not been to this location in a few years, The GF wanted to go, so off we went on a Saturday afternoon, walked in and we were greeted by the bartender and a few of the customers there, very nice people. This place is down the street from my parents. I've had their steak in the past with veggies and mashed potatoes, which is to die for. I've had their burger and onion rings and It was great as well. Most recently, I tried a new item: buffalo chicken wrap. I didn't know they put it on the panini press and let me just say *chef's kiss*. It was so good. Will definitely try some other items in the future. I've only done take out so I can speak for the food mostly. When I've gone in theres usually good music playing. My softball team and I were looking for a local spot to stop in after our weeknight games and came across this place. It is a very nice pub, with plenty of TVs which is great for watching sports games. Has both bar and table seating. The servers and bartenders are also really nice and quick to serve. They also offer a variety of different half priced related specials during the week. The menu is pretty big with a nice variety. All the food here I have had has been really good, my personal favorite would have the be the tacos surprisingly! Definitely worth checking out! read more

Went here for happy hour on a Thursday. Happy hour is super cheap. $2.50 for a domestic bottle, $3.50 for import. They have a few appetizers for $5/$6 too. So far, I've had the wings, fried pickles, pretzel bites, cheese fries, and boilermaker fries. All of it was super cheap. The wings are especially meaty. Came back for Mother's Day yesterday, and their food was out of this world. Plus, the Mother's Day special was awesome! $24.99 for one brunch item plus $0.50 unlimited select drinks (mimosas, man-mosas, screwdrivers, bloody marys) for 2 hours. Had the steak and eggs brunch with mimosas and screwdrivers then got funnel fries and chocolate lava cake for dessert to share with the table. Everything was amazing! The rib-eye was unbelievably juicy and tender and cooked to perfection like always, funnel fries were to die for (my new favorite dessert here!), and the chocolate lava cake was super moist and fudge-y. This Dive Bar is a MUST! I had driven past this bar numerous times so when my best friend recommended grabbing something to eat here on a lazy Sunday I was definitely down! We ended up grabbing a table outside since the inside was already at capacity since they had the game on. Also, good to note that the tables they did have inside were spaced as to adhere to social distancing regulations for COVID 19. Once seated, we asked about their beers and she recommended this amazing pumpkin beer. I wish I could remember the name because it was really good and of course the rim was lined with cinnamon sugar! For food, we both got the buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Really good stuff! The buffalo chicken tasted fresh and the sauce had great flavor. Sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They also had a TOUCHDOWN SPECIAL MENU where everything was $8! Not sure if this was just for Sunday Football but all the items offered on the menu had really cool names like The Touchdown, Laces Out and The Manning! Some of the items included things like perogies, stuffed shells, chicken cheesesteak and cod sandwiches. Super diverse menu! Love this bar! It's literally so close to my job too, so who can complain about that?? It's right on the corner and there's plenty of parking. It's easy to find a spot even on a Friday or Saturday night. Workers are fantastic, I've been there a handful of times and they remembered me which is always nice. They're quick to greet you too. The best part of this bar is the food. It's the best dive bar grub around. I've tried a few things and everything is fantastic. Last night I had a chipotle chicken wrap with fries. The fries are pretty much magical. The wrap was super filled with chicken and veggies plus the sauce was fantastic. Also had calamari as an appetizer and that was great and fresh. Really nice marinara sauce too. I suggest trying the Irish nachos too, they're made with real potato slices as nachos. Can't go wrong! I highly recommend this spot for a casual night. read more

I'm done with this place. New to the area. Wanted to love it but every time I go I'm reminded of how terrible it is; once again I'm greatly disappointed. First, the servers are rude and very inattentive. They only care about their friends. I've been coming for a while and leave a generous tip, but they are distracted with talking to each other and their friends and don't properly care about our experience. I come from the restaurant business and it's so exhausting to see how poorly they are trained in customer service. What's worse is the manager (Chris I think?) seems to ignore it. I guess to them it's fine because they still have business but they lost mine. I reached my limit. Today, I went and could hardly get someone to take my order, say hello, give me a menu, refill my drink, and get the check. I had to say excuse me 5 times while two bartenders were talking to each other before I could get the check. It was exhausting. Then they wouldn't even say happy holidays or thank you or anything. It's terrible. I'm nothing but nice and it sucks being treated like crap from servers of a place I've been going to since I moved here. I'm done wasting my money. On top of this, my partner has gotten sick from the food multiple times, we just don't order food anymore; especially the steak. He threw up after he ate it. They gave a gift card. I should've stopped going back after that but I don't know any other places for late night drinks. I'll keep trying to find one because I'm done with black jack. Definitely not a comfortable or relaxing environment. You'll be left feeling bad about yourself from terrible people and overspending on food and drinks that aren't worth it. read more

It also comes with a cherry pepper, and i always ask for extras; i love having that tangy, vinegary, bit of spice with my rich steak. i also like the wings here -- i get them plain (no sauce so they don't get soggy) with butter garlic bbq on the side; that sauce is so good. they have irish nachos with homemade potato chips, which are good, but if you're like me and fiend for those homemade chips, you can just order that as a side! my partner always gets the blackjack dip, aka french dip, which comes on garlic bread. it too is quite good. read more

Came here on a Sunday night about 6pm. It wasn't crowded but there were plenty of customers. All I can say is this is a very comfortable, feel good environment. I felt like I was at home. Good drinks and excellent appetizers. The service was very attentive. The only reason I did not give 5* was because of my cheesesteak. I asked for no peppers but extra onions and the mushrooms. We visited Blackjack Mulligans Public House on a whim during a random Monday in the NBA playoffs. It was a pretty good time, as I enjoyed their special on tacos - one pulled pork, one chicken and I believe one ground beef. They also had a bunch of TV screens to watch the NBA playoffs and the Yankee game. Overall, it was a pretty chilled time. The only reason I'm giving this 3 stars for now is because I didn't have any of their true dishes. Plus, their list of craft beers was limited. Compared this to their other location in Secaucus and it seemed that Secaucus had double the beer list. Either way, I will return at some point as it has gained my interest to hang out here with a couple of buddies during the NFL season. read more

Well we have been to the one in Secaucus which is now Dublin Yards. So we decided to go to the one by our house in Garfield and have to say unimpressed, actually disgusted. So first thing is you are not in a big city charging $9 for a white claw and every other place around you charges $6. My biggest complaint is when we ordered the gravy and cheese fries we got individual plates and one of them was not clean, I mean food still on it. I will post the picture. It was hard to eat the food after that but we did. The fries were not crispy but soggy and believe they are not homemade fries but frozen ( there is a difference) but gravy was excellent.
