The drivers and support staff were great at getting us connected once we landed in Philadelphia. Many of us had to call to figure out ever the bus would stop but the charger service reps were patient, helpful, and polite. The drivers accommodated all of us -- especially those with disabilities without delay or conflict. That was very refreshing and professional. My only suggestion is that riders can be sent the pick up route/instructions the day before they arrive to avoid so much confusion once they land. Nobody at the airport seemed informed and the confusion was high as people arrived from all over the world for this international conference. Long drive. Driver did not know where to drop us off. Lunch provided to us wasn't fit for a dog. The trolley tour in the rain and the walk down main street were the only somewhat enjoyable part of this miserable trip. Never Again. read more

Jusr returned from Charleston/Savannah tour by White Star who charted buses from Stouts. Had a wonderful driver Debbi not so great a bus. The microphone system was not working. We had step-on guides in both cities. Only the people sitting in the first few rows could hear anything. This is why we book tours to learn about these great places. We all missed out. Stouts should have never sent bus #412 to do a 6 day tour. Also, bathroom has to get dumped during tour, leaves a horrible smell in 6 days. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Think our group needs some compensation from Stouts. read more

I appreciate Stout's for the courtesy and professionalism of various drivers I have encountered. They are always on time and knowedgeable. I have been on charter trips with Stout's between Philadelphia and many cities including DC, Toronto (overnight), Richmond, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, and New York City. All these trips went very well. My best example of the driver being knowledgeable is when we went from Philly to New York on a weekday during peak traffic period. This particular driver planned out an alternate route and found a safe way to get into the Big Apple by avoiding one of the major bridges. We surely saved an hour of angst. The company has been providing group transportation for over 50 years, but their current fleet of buses is always clean and in very new condition. They all appear to be very well maintained. Some of the available coaches now offer some power outlets for laptops. Most coaches have DVD as well as VHS. read more

I just returned from a six day tour of Charleston and savanna. I would like to tell you it was totally unacceptable. We were on a old bus that at times felt unsafe due to the noises it was making. Our bus driver Debbie was awesome and tried her best to make a bad situation Better by tying up bumpers with bungee cords. We rode around with urine for six days which created a toxic smell. The bus seats were so dirty that after spilling water on the seat and blotting it with paper towels the towels were brown. This really left you with a very uneasy feeling about being on this bus. This was a board of health nightmare and definitely not Covid conscious!! This was our tour bus with narrated tours and there was a non working microphone. After being so excited about visiting these two sought after destinations we neither saw or heard anything. I couldn't honestly tell a thing about either place. I will be pursuing compensation. As a senior citizen I feel six days of my time was stolen along with my money!! I have a one star cause you are unable to leave a zero . read more

Our experience with this bus company was horrible on 8/10/2019 bus scheduled for crab feast and pick up in north Phila .bus driver was rude ,disrespectful and made racial remarks ..refused to put air conditioner on bus while Disabilty consumers was aboard on this very hot day .made remarks when trying to seat Disabilty ppl .it was a horrible and we plan on taking further action as bus driver behavior was recorded on bus and off bus .entire ride to Baltimore there was no music or video b/c driver said she didn't know how to work dvd or cd machines that she should have knowledge of everything on bus .was scheduled through soul nation events .thesr buses aren't handicapped accessible or should even be on the road for business read more

I was on a Stout's bus to Washington yesterday for the March for Life. The bus had an on-board bathroom. Heading to Washington we could smell an unpleasant odor emanating from the bathroom, but on the ride back it was so bad that three people who were sitting in the rear of the bus actually vomited. In addition, they changed drivers in Maryland when we stopped to eat, and the new driver didn't have the correct location for our return. read more

My son left his wallet/ phone on bus. Phone pinged to their location when we called that evening we were told the bus was locked up and only cleaning crew would be on it, to call in the morning. The next morning my son went there no one knew anything, they looked on bus and the excuse was that the cleaning crew sometimes doesn't turn things in til the following evening, to call back again the next morning. Needless to say nobody turned it in, the office didn't really care that a persons wallet was missing and their employees were the only ones who had access. We were told that they are not responsible. I understand that but I definitely wouldn't use a company again who doesn't care that their employees could be thieves. read more

I emailed a half dozen transportation companies to inquire on a bus for my wedding in Central NJ. Stout's was the only company to respond within a week. In fact, Leanna Shaw @ Stout's responded within the first hour. Leanna was unbelievably helpful and responsive by phone and email to provide quotes, adjust quotes, and answer questions (both pre and post contract!). The level of service and quality of transportation is unmatched in Central NJ. I will certainly recommend Stout for all my family and friends for future transportation needs. We hired Stout's to pick up guests at our daughter's wedding. The driver was a half hour late (with no legitimate excuse), leaving our guests to stand in the rain. Due to that, he was a half hour late for our final pickup, by which time almost all of our guests had opted for Uber. Stout's did not deny any of these facts, but when we asked for a refund of one of these two pickups, they stopped returning our emails and phone calls. The front line of employees isvery nice, but Mr. Stout has no respect for his customers. I would never use them again. read more

The best decision we made in connection with our daughter's wedding was to provide courtesy buses from Stout's for our guests. The hotel, church, and reception venue were all about 20 minutes apart and many guests were not familiar with the roads. Having the buses available allowed them to relax and also to enjoy drinks at the party without concern for driving. The drivers were courteous and professional. I was particularly impressed that one of the drivers called me at the end of the night to be sure that no one had been left behind at the reception venue. (The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that one of the three drivers was a bit confused about the agreed upon route and made a wrong turn with the bridal party aboard, but then he found his way.) We used Stouts Transportation to transport our wedding guests to and from the hotel to our wedding venue and they really delivered. Although they were a little late showing up for the event I'm told it was due to the traffic and not the drivers fault at all. It was very easy to deal with Susan over email and eventually phone when it came time for payment and on the day of it was very seamless. The only interaction I had to have with the driver was making certain he got his tip (which wasn't included in the price as is done with other companies). Horrible business practices and customer service! TWO THUMBS DOWN! I had a very bad experience with Stout Transportation on the most important day of my life - my wedding - and I would NOT recommend them for anything. My experience with Stout started out when I exited my hotel to go to my wedding venue. The limo driver was no where to be found so the shuttle driver we booked to transport our wedding party and 60 guests staying at the hotel told us to get into the limo and he would look for the guy. He proceeded to call the limo driver several times but did not get an answer. After about 15 minutes, the driver finally appeared in the distance WALKING back from a trip to Wendy's. He did not hurry in the slightest bit. The shuttle driver spoke to him out of our earshot and the driver got into the limo, raised the partition and started to drive off. He did not give us a word of explanation or apology for making us late. We arrived at my wedding venue for the first look photos and once I got out, the driver started driving around the venue in circles...I can only assume he was eating his food from Wendy's. If this was the only incident with Stout I might be able to let it go and not write this review, but unfortunately things got worse from there. The shuttle driver was instructed to do 4:30, 5:30, and 6:30 runs from the hotel to our wedding venue to get our wedding party and guests to the venue on time. After dropping off our wedding party on the 4:30 run, he pulled the shuttle to the side of the parking lot and took a nap!!!!!! While we were taking photos around the venue, our guests were anxiously awaiting their pickup at the hotel and the driver never showed. Eventually, guests started getting into contact with people that made it to the venue and told us that the shuttle never came back. At that point, my brother looked outside and saw the shuttle in the parking lot. He went over to talk to the driver and found him sound asleep with his shoes off!! He pounded on the locked door for about 10 minutes before the driver finally woke up. The driver claimed that our "wedding coordinator" came out and told him that all of our guests were here and we did not need him to make any additional runs. Funny thing is we did NOT have a wedding coordinator and his instructions were clearly written out for him, but more on that later. So, at 6:30 he left the venue to get the guests that didn't end up driving themselves to my wedding. The wedding was supposed to start at 7pm, but since 1/3 of our guests were not there we had to wait until 7:20 to start. As a result of this, our cocktail hour had to be cut short so we could get to all of the things planned for our reception. The driver single-handedly ruined a major part of our day! We still had to use this shuttle to get people back to the hotel, so the driver did an 11:30 and a 12:30 run. My husband told him we needed him to come back and get the remaining 15 or so people that could not fit on the shuttle (bride and groom included) and he pulled out the schedule saying he was only supposed to do three runs: 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30. No one got on the 10:30 since my wedding ran late because of him! The fact that he had the nerve to pull out the schedule after messing up so badly is unbelievable and absurd! My husband told him that we had no way of getting back without him and the driver said he would come back. The entire time we waited (roughly 45 minutes) we were nervous that he would not come back for us. In the end he came back for us, which is the ONLY redeeming thing I have to say about this company and this driver in particular. In the aftermath of this screw up, my mother dealt with the owners. The day of the wedding multiple messages were left with instructions to call back my brother or sister's cell phones since my mom's phone was back at the hotel. We never received a call. The day after the wedding someone finally contacted my mom and said they were shocked, would look into it and get back to her on Monday. After several days of phone tag back and forth she finally spoke to someone who said they would check with the owners for a full refund. She had to argue with them numerous times before finally receiving a refund on the limo, not a cent was returned to us regarding the shuttle blunder. It's better than nothing I suppose, but it will never give us back our cocktail hour or the stress that these drivers caused us on our wedding day. If anyone is considering using this company for their wedding or any other important event, I would definitely think twice. The drivers were unprofessional and inconsiderate and dealing with the company after this debacle was very frustrating. read more
