This translated into a professional and attractive showplace. The heat and humidity was high but it did not slow them down as they worked smart together and wasted little time and energy in making our new and improved retaining wall come together. I was shocked to see them take only water breaks every half hour and for about 3-4 minutes then back at it! Impressive! They finished in what I thought was an unreal time as Pedro said he thought that it would take at least 3 days and it could have been quicker if the vendors would have delivered material on time. The team cleaned up constantly while they worked and in the end did a great job of fixing the ground that they had to tear up to get the job done. They graded and smoothed and seeded the area then covered with straw. They even put in an above ground automatic drain system that is wonderful to watch work. This is because I have 7 downspouts that flow into one area that had caused the previous problem of the wall falling down. To say that we are pleased with the new look and functionality would be an understatement. Pedro with his constant communication, on site visits and complying to our requests, Manuel with his leadership on site and not settling for OK but had to be right, Lonnie and his work ethic and attention to detail, and Christoper's doing all the little things and being "Johnny on the Spot" and a lot of the muscle made our project come together quickly and efficiently. While we…read moreended up deciding to go with a locally owned company, I have to say, inspector / salesman, Kent Tysinger of '58 Foundations & Waterproofing, was thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and BY FAR the most professional and courteous of any of the people we've had out from any of the bigger, national chains. I was impressed by the fact that he gave us a few different options of what could be done, and explained the pros and cons of each, rather than just fearmongering and pushing the most expensive one with all the bells and whistles. '58's quote was definitely higher than the local companies, but generally on-par, if not a little lower than, their big national peers. And true to the promise they make on their website, they didn't do any kind of price matching or marketing gimmicks; they just gave me the price. '58 was our 2nd choice behind who we decided to go with (out of 6, yes SIX separate inspections/quotes), and I would definitely use them for other work, should I need it down the line.
