Having a designated parking spot included in the price is such a huge perk. Check in was simple and secure with the door code. The in room coffee machine is awesome and it was such a nice touch to have almond milk creamer in the hallway along with fruit and snack bars. The only issue with the restaurant is that they take reservations for the bar so there is no guarantee you will get a seat at the bar for a quick snack and drink. The only negatives about the 404 is that there were no pastries or fruit left out in sitting area, several people mentioned this perk. There was also a little dried toothpaste in the sink and some stains on the bed when we first arrived to our room. Kinda gross but most likely a cleaning oversight. If you are looking for a small hotel for independent vacationers this is a great place to stay. We may not stay here the next time we visit Nashville but we would stay there again in the future.

Along with many Marriott properties, we decided to stay at…read morethis Doubletree Hilton because it was centrally located to a show where we were going to and having dinner at Jeff Ruby's. They had valet parking, which is fine considering it's downtown even though it's $65. As I said, I've been to many hotels, but this is one of the steeper ones for valet prices. Only Atlanta was more at the Hilton state that was $75 a night. Anyway, our room was completely outdated. The air conditioning was poor to almost nonexistent. It was so muggy in that room. Hence, with another comments about the mold I'm not surprised there was a mold in this room as well. It was a basic room nothing special. Beinga "silver" Member we both could drink our three dollar waters for nothing. So ridiculous. So when I stay there again, absolutely not. I think generally speaking a lot of the Hilton associated hotels like Doubletree and the others that attach Hilton to their name are lacking in comfort and cleanliness. So I guess if you wanna spend $300 in a mediocre/ outdated potential mold room Doubletree/Hilton hotel in Nashville - go for it. But there's a Marriott down the street and the hotel indigo. Maybe you should be checked out them first.

The front desks is a bar, and that should tell you a lot about the property. 2. The live music in the lobby has been great. It's nice to grab a drink, hear some live music, play some pool without having to leave the property yet. 3. Amazing location steps from Broadway bars and music 4. Everything is clean and simple. The negative reviews for this property are crazy. 1. You have to be a particular kind of Karen to complain about the noise from the street. You are on Broadway. There will be street noise. It will continue until 3am. The hotel provides earplugs and white noise generators. If this is going to be a problem for you then book a hotel out in Brentwood. 2. The rooms are small and sparse. They are also clean and cozy. I love it. You aren't coming here to hang out in your room. This is a fun, unique property. If you are expecting a Courtyard (or a Sheraton) book one of those instead. If you have any level of chill and are open to something unique right in the middle of the action, then stay here.

Our room overlooked the local bars and was just the right size for us. The rooftop restaurant was perfect for grabbing a drink and a late-night snack. You can definitely hear the nearby music into the late hours, but after a full day of traveling, we still slept well. They were redoing the restaurants while I was there so just the bar was open. Overall my staff was great but I had a couple of issues. The fan in the toilet room runs all the time. You cannot turn it off. I could hear it with all of the bathroom doors closed and wearing ear plugs. A bit annoying. Also, they don't have a store so you cannot buy drinks and snacks throughout the day. The coffee station did have some stuff but they were only opened in the am. I had a great burger and fries at the bar one evening. The meat was tasty and nicely cooked. Yummy fries. Also, had a breakfast one morning. I had the fruit plate and a side of bacon. You got a ton of all kinds of different fruit. Crisp, yummy bacon. Overall a great stay. If only we could turn off that dam toilet fan.

Great perk is the shuttle service that operates within a 4 mile radius, definitely saved on Uber/lyft rides. Staff generally friendly and polite. Greeted whenever encountered. Booked 2 rooms both clean. One larger than the other has it had a sofa bed and larger sitting area. As with most hotels no over head lights so at nights room tend to be a bit dim. Included a microwave and a little refrigerator. Comfy queen size beds. Complimentary breakfast included that's where I minus a star. The coffee was not the best nor very hot. Decided to make tea, hot water also not very hot. Ended up going to Dunkin' Donuts about a 3-5 minute walk. Also within the same walking distance is a Starbucks and 7 eleven. All in all a pleasant stay.

If you are looking for a good breakfast in the morning, or a ride in the shuttle, or a conversation in English, you may want to find a different spot. Our first request for a shuttle ride we were told by the driver that she just got back and needed a cigarette before she could drive again. So she sat on the bench and lit her cigarette regardless of us waiting and we decided to walk instead. Our second request for a shuttle she answered the phone as she was not onsite and said she was on lunch and it would be 15 minutes. We watched her come back to the building and walk around for 20 minutes and smoke several cigarettes before we decided to call an uber. The uber took 15 minutes to arrive and as he was arriving the shuttle driver walked by us and asked if we were ready. We told her we called an uber and she literally said " That's dumb, but whatever". Our third request we decided we were gonna use this thing if it killed us so we called and waited again. We were sitting outside at the designated pickup bench when she pulled into the parking lot and she went to the front door instead of the designated shuttle pickup. The van filled up with people while we were walking over to it and we almost missed out. The only thing that saved us is the group was too large to all fit so they waited to ride together. So now we are on the shuttle. SUCCESS!!! Well, not for long. She asks where we are going and we tell her a place 2 miles away for breakfast. She says, "Oh, I only go to broadway". After telling her the front desk advised the shuttle was for anywhere within 5 miles she changed her mind, but she was not very happy about it and told us she usually only goes to broadway and back and that she would not be able to pick us up from there. Ok, shuttle complaint over. On to breakfast. The cook does not speak any English at all and instead of telling you that or getting somebody to help her she simply ignores you. Literally, looks you in the face and acknowledges you are talking, then turns away and walks off. Not only does she not speak English, but nobody on staff during breakfast spoke her language either so the front desk lady had to pick up the sign for sausage and point to it and ask if the cook could make more of it. This was how they communicate apparently because after the sausage the front desk lady picked up other signs and pointed at them as well since everything was empty. The food is meh and has very little flavor. They do have the waffle maker if you want that with kinda warm sausage. Overall breakfast was disappointing and I enjoy a good breakfast at a hotel. This wasn't a cheap hotel so you think they could offer a decent breakfast.
