Stayed at the W Nashville in The Gulch during CMA Fest and had a fantastic experience! The location is perfect -- close to Broadway, restaurants, and shopping, but still feels upscale and relaxed. Our corner suite upgrade featured fantastic views, electric blackout shades, two rooms, a stocked minibar, and a welcome gift of champagne and chocolates. The room included a daily breakfast at The Restaurant, a huge plus. Loved the rain shower, cozy robes, and comfy bed. Lots of free bottled water made it easy to stay hydrated. Highly recommend this hotel for couples, VIP travelers, and music festival weekends! read more

I am extremely disappointed with how the W Nashville handled a situation that was completely outside of my control. My fiancée and I were scheduled to stay at the W Nashville this past weekend, but our United Airlines flight (Flight 2454 on August 6) was canceled. There were no reasonable alternative flights available that would allow us to get to Nashville, so unfortunately we had no choice but to cancel our trip. I immediately contacted the W Nashville, explained exactly what happened, and asked if they would waive the approximately $290 one-night cancellation charge given the circumstances. I was told that I would still be charged because that was their policy. I called again the following day hoping they might reconsider. The gentleman I spoke with acknowledged that the hotel does occasionally make exceptions. Naturally, I asked why an exception couldn't be made in this situation--a documented airline cancellation that made it impossible for us to get to Nashville. I was simply told again that it was their policy. I then asked to speak with a manager. I was told there was no manager available, so they took my name and phone number and assured me that a manager would call me back. It has now been two days, and I have received no call. What makes this particularly disappointing is that I am a Marriott Bonvoy member, regularly stay at Marriott properties, and actually stayed at the W Nashville last year. I had enjoyed the hotel and specifically chose to return. I understand that hotels need cancellation policies, but I also believe good hospitality involves using reasonable discretion when circumstances genuinely warrant it. I wasn't asking to cancel because I changed my mind or found another hotel. Our flight was canceled, we had no practical way to get to Nashville, and I provided the flight information to substantiate what happened. Charging a returning guest approximately $290 under those circumstances is disappointing. But what bothers me even more is being told that a manager would contact me and then hearing nothing. I had a positive impression of the W Nashville from my previous stay and was looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, the way this situation has been handled has significantly changed that impression. I still hope someone from management will reach out and reconsider the charge. read more

The W has one of the best rooftop bars in Nashville. The view is incredible and they have comfy seating, and good cocktails. They also offer a happy hour. Whenever I visit it is one of my favorite spots. read more

I stayed here recently for work and had a couple of meals in the restaurant/bar. The hotel is very nice. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. They were redoing the restaurants while I was there so just the bar was open. Overall my staff was great but I had a couple of issues. The fan in the toilet room runs all the time. You cannot turn it off. I could hear it with all of the bathroom doors closed and wearing ear plugs. A bit annoying. Also, they don't have a store so you cannot buy drinks and snacks throughout the day. The coffee station did have some stuff but they were only opened in the am. I had a great burger and fries at the bar one evening. The meat was tasty and nicely cooked. Yummy fries. Also, had a breakfast one morning. I had the fruit plate and a side of bacon. You got a ton of all kinds of different fruit. Crisp, yummy bacon. Overall a great stay. If only we could turn off that dam toilet fan. read more

I've stayed here three different times, once in a queen, twice in suites, but of different types. Once you start staying in the suites, I'm not sure there's much difference in the experience. A suite is a suite and a soaker tub is a soaker tub. Hospitality is always big here. Customer service is top notch. Valet is also awesome and ON IT! Multiple hang out areas for various demographics--the loud bar, the refined restaurant, the rooftop bar that can get a "little" crazy, but is overall lowkey. It's not cheap; has a destination fee, and a 325 mL bottle of champagne from the bar is over 100 bucks. But a great Nashville hotel in one of the coolest neighborhoods, and close to the action. read more

First floor has a coffee shop, bar, a hotel shop and a Sax Fifth Avenue store. Because I'm here for events outside the hotel I didn't get to experience any of the dining establishments. However when I checked in I was given a refillable water bottle and informed of filling stations for chilled or sparkling water throughout the hotel. The front desk person was very accommodating and nice. The check in was great and the person checking us in answered our questions and how to get around with some useful recommendations. The room was large and comfortable. A very modern motif with an open bathroom layout, but we enjoyed the room and the bedding was comfortable allowing us a couple of good nights sleeping. The hotel is large and modern, but even though we were there on December 5th. There were no Holiday decorations making the lobby cold and uninviting. Speaking of cold, the lobby was literally cold to freezing, so much so that they had to close the front doors and make them inoperable and we were asked to use a side door. Not a big deal as Nashville was hit with some unseasonably cold weather during our stay, but we wonder if they have the same issue when Nashville is warm? The Costco package we had came with a breakfast buffet which is $39 value (it is not worth $39). They also tried to charge us for the breakfast and we had to call to get this reversed. They also failed to email us a receipt as there was no one at the front desk and we are Bonvoy Marriot members as well. The food was warm at best and not hot even though the quality was good, but cold bacon, French toast and eggs is not ideal. The breakfast was not well organized. There was confusion on where to sit and we were told that we should have waited to be seated, but there was no hostess that we could see. The area is not ideal for dining as we were told this also doubles as a work space for the hotel clientele (Suggestion: maybe section it off during the breakfast buffet and make it clear where to sit and how to be seated). There were managers there not helping and ensuring the buffet was full and or hot filling coffee. A special shout out to the gentleman making omelets. He was left to himself with no help and almost everyone there requesting omelets. The power on his hot plate went out and he requested a manager, but they did not get there for 10 minutes, in the meantime he improvised and kept going. He was a great caring employee and unfortunately I forgot his name ( he was relatively new and came from Jamaica). He went above and beyond to be friendly and nice to everyone, unlike any of the managers or wait staff that we saw. In summary, great rooms, bad breakfast buffet and could use a little more charm and friendliness (outside our omelet person). read more

I needed instructions to operate the shower which weren't there. Really a card would go along way. Be cautious when going to their bars. I was overcharged during their happy hour and charged full price for drinks. Talking to others I have heard they have had this same experience on more than one occasion as well. I reviewed my receipt later and caught the error, but when I called the hotel to get the situation rectified they informed me it would take up to a week for their corporate accounting team to review the situation and return the money to me. Pretty unacceptable that they somehow make a mistake and then I have to wait a week to get my money back. Furthermore, what type of POS system are they running which even allows that to happen? Typically at a restaurant or bar the POS system is coded so that the prices coordinate to happy hour and non-happy hours so there's no opportunity to fudge the pricing one way or the other. Local here! Attended the Juneteenth pool party at the wet deck this year. All you can eat cookout for $25. Good drinks served poolside. All around great experience. I got tickets at a discount through do 615 and found street parking at $2.25 a hour, 3 hour max. Nice to take advantage of the new hotels taking over Nashville, if you can't beat them, join them I guess lol I wouldn't recommend paying a $50 ticket price for the pool access on top of food/drinks here unless you're looking for an elevated pool day experience on vacation. Like most things involving Nashville tourism, it's not set up to be "local" friendly, this is 100% a tourist experience situation. And that's exactly what most people want, so enjoy! Food and beverage gouging... Ordered room service: Cheeseburger, watermelon salad, desert, and a couple of Bloody Mary's for $120. Pool is nice if you don't mind looking at buildings and streets. Maintenance is nonexistent here... Ice machine broken, safe locked, bathroom fan doesn't turn off, shower overhead inoperable... Perfect place for those who are upgrading from a motel. This hotel lies about the "wonderful "views of the city. Only thing I can see was a parking lot. When I called the front desk they said all the rooms are listed as city views false advertising, you could tell the practice answering this a lot. I was told by the front desk that I could come in a few hours early to check in, unfortunately, on arrival young lady at the desk said my room was not ready and I can't check in early. I told front desk agent that I called and a gentleman over phone said my room was ready and I can come in a few hours early, she tried to make me feel like a liar by saying said they don't have any males answering phones. So I called From my phone in front of her and proved her wrong when the same gentleman answered the phone. I payed for transportation and showed up two hours early for nothing very unprofessional. On the recommendation of a friend, we birded over from capitol view to the W to experience their roof top bar. It does truly have a 270 degree view of the city with garage doors that merge the in door and out door experience. Upon recommendation of the bar tender, I had several craft cocktails that were both on and off the menu. Although it was a Wednesday night the atmosphere was still bustling without being too crowded. The service was fantastic, and I will be definitely headed back to soak up more of the experience that the w has to offer. read more

I stayed in the Wow Suite, which is essentially the Presidential suite. I paid with a points and cash combo. One king bed, 1.5 bathrooms. Panoramic glass ceiling to floor windows, balcony overlooking the famous Nashville angel wings. Two robes, a tub, stocked mini fridge, dining room table, record player, two tv's and a very large couch. The rooftop bar is beautiful! The espresso martini is a must. The fire pits outside, the blankets. What a great view of the city with great service. The cabanas rentals are closed for the winter, but I would definitely rent one during the summer! We didn't indulge in breakfast because there's a phenomenal breakfast spot around the corner. If you want to be on Broadway or by the arena, it's over a mile walk. Service was spot on. Did not wait long at all for drinks and bill. We seated ourselves without issue, as well. VALUE. Value was on par with what you would expect from an upscale cocktail bar. This place is amazing. It's so funky and has stylish Decour. The people are super nice (ala Nashville). I love the rooms. The service was amazing. Room service was up in a jiffy. They have a super cute boutique downstairs if you forget anything. And the pool is great, just kind of busy on the weekends during the summer months. The only downside of my recent vacation to Nashville WAS the W Hotel. Paid extra for room upgrade for city view - got a parking lot view and told that was city view. Told cleaning lady one day to leave some takeout food leftovers and take others (literally showed her and explained before I left also with note to "leave" and a note to "take") and she took all the food away and I was told I should have spoken Spanish to her. Booked through Amex for early checkin and late checkout and food credits, told that wasn't guaranteed so waited for 2 hours to get into my room. Then had to go over closing receipt to get $400 back that was supposed to be credited already due to booking through Amex. Valet literally lost our car 2 hours before our flight home - no keys, didn't know where the car was, then magically found it (thank goodness). With late checkout tried to get back into room to get luggage at 12:30 and cards already deactivated. Lots of the promised venues/food places unavailable due to other events/conferences/etc but had I known I would never have booked here and will never again. Glad that the rest of my trip was amazing so my W Hotel experience didn't ruin my weekend entirely. Won't book again. Here or in any other cities. W Hotel is overrated and doesn't deliver for a much higher price point. No thanks. read more

My wife and I recently stayed at this brand new hotel. OZZY at the front desk was very welcoming,helpful, friendly and extremely professional. She helped us with all of our stay and hotel questions... The hotel room was gorgeous and immaculate! The beds pillows and comforter were a DREAM to sleep on! The rain head shower was fantastic! ... I loved the roof top bar and hotel restaurant called THE DUTCH! You have to order the avocado toast with 2 eggs over medium and strawberry shortcake French toast or blueberry pancakes which are also a MUST! Tell them to bring you extra syrup they get chincy on that! The Mimosas were excellent too! Lastly the Valet staff was very helpful, efficient and professional too! A great big shout out to Enrique and Carson!! You guys rock and are a great addition to superb customer service that this hotel consistently offers! Our stay here was truly EPIC!!
