Responsiveness was a big value of theirs where they were always available. My partner and I have had a storage unit here since 2014 I believe, and we have never had any issues here. I believe the only thing that sort of bugged us recently, though I don't necessarily think it's through any fault of the management, is just that we were finding some rat droppings in our unit. Nothing excessive, and luckily none of our stuff was damaged we only found the droppings but the management company responded really quickly with putting rat traps or poison I believe in the hallways in the units and various other places on the property. So it really felt like we were having this issue and they immediately took action which I appreciated. When we first got a unit here we actually got a manager special so we got a really good deal on our unit and even when a new management company took over they still honored that price which we were really grateful for. we currently live in San Jose but because of the manager special price that we have here we really don't wanna go anywhere else and we never have any issues here. Every time we go here the grounds are well-kept, there seems to be staff available for any inquiries at any given time, and it's hassle free just entering the code and the gate opens and you handle whatever business you need and then leave. They open I believe at 7 AM and close at 7 PM and we always plan our trips here accordingly. Overall no issues! read more

These guys are great. I really enjoy working with them. Note that this is not a climate-controlled storage place. If you need AC for your old documents or vinyl LPs, you're looking for a different type of building. What you get here is extreme customer care and attention, compared to most anonymous places. Most other storage places are happy to let your payments lapse, and then they cut the lock off, sell your stuff, and re-rent the storage unit, without bothering to reach you. No such abuse happens here! If you're late, they phone you out of concern. They have set up several easy ways to pay, either automatically or at your own initiation. You're not just a monthly check to them. They genuinely care about keeping you comfortable. The storage is not fancy (mostly plywood dividers etc.), but they seem to keep it immaculate. I and other family members have had stuff stored here for literally decades, and there has never been a sign of a roof leak or any pest infestation. I believe the operators live on-site, so there's less worry of after-hours security breaches. I just really like coming back here, year after year. I know my stuff will be right where I put it. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! They call your work or any number you give them the day your due constantly. If you are even a bit late and before the grace period is up they will hound you! They, called my work various times and shared personal financial information with whoever answered the phone. They told the receptionist that my debit card was declined and that I did not pay my storage fees. Obviously they have no idea what confidentially is!!!! read more

I shopped around and compared before deciding on Stoway. They were much more reasonable in price, the place is very clean and the office staff is very friendly and professional. I've stored furniture before at Public storage and it was a hassle from the start. There were a lot of undisclosed fees and my rates went up three times in 2 years. What Stoway discloses is all you pay and they never raised my rates in the 3 years that I rented from them. I would definitely rent storage space from them again. read more
