This place was a disappointment, did not feel like a vacation. Feels like a nursing home, I don't mind the old antique furniture, this place was by the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at, and I travel ALOT. I have pictures to prove, it's a ok place to sleep but they need to remodel and stop the false advertisement. They also need to reduce their prices if they want to continue business like this. It's REALLY disgusting, musty smell, mold on shower head, mold on walls, wall paper falling off, water damage to ceiling. You have to enter through back door (Stairs), with no suitcases caddy. The back door to the stairs doesn't even lock, so anyone can enter.

Broken toilet with jacked up fix.

We paid close to $450 for 1 night in October and were deeply disappointed. The room was tired, old and crowded with dated furniture and a very unappealing bathroom sink in the bedroom area. Not in the bathroom. And the mattress was pretty bad too. The worst part was the toilet was broken and rocked back and forth and couldn't be fixed that night. Then the thermostat came off in my hands and we couldn't get it back on the well to work properly. It was an outrageous price to pay for a super low quality room. They offered me a teeny tiny refund but refused any further compensation. When you pay that kind of money you should have a fully working room that's not awful. Definitely do not recommend.

This place is a total dump I would not recommend anyone stay here. I don't understand how they consider this a resort it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I pulled up I thought it was abandoned the landscaping is so overgrown. It's not safe as a single female. The bathroom doesn't have privacy glass so anyone can look right in, the mirror conveniently is opposite the mirror so anyone can watch you from outside. I didn't even want to use the bathroom. There was no way to hang a towel over the window. It's not safe, I pushed a chair up against the door then pushed the desk up against the chair. The lock screws were nearly falling out, I screwed them in tighter with an ink pen lid. There is no chain lock Says to push a pin to lock but it doesn't even work! I paid $189 plus a $17 resort fee through pricelibe this is an absolute joke.

More like poopflake resort! We had a townhouse a month ago. Upon arrival we went upstairs to unload luggage and there was mouse droppings on the bed! YUCK! The townhouse was not clean at all. Very dusty and unkept. There were more droppings on the kitchen counter, bathrooms and surely on the carpet but I didn't inspect every corner of the unit. The back door to the unit didn't even lock! It was wide open. We propped up a chair for some security. Our friends visited the actual resort and stated there were some amenities not working and looked like they had been out of service for some time. As for the restaurant on-site, food was terrible. (Charlie B) The unit has potential if it was properly kept but it was just gross knowing rodents were running around the place.

Wish I read the reviews after this property was recommended to us for our group. Lesson learned! There is nothing impressive about this property! There is No room service -we were not informed of this while booking for our group, nor when we arrived - even though it tells you to leave the towels you want replaced on the floor, which we did, but they remained there. The mattresses were so saggy they must be from when they originally opened in 1963! They do not replace towels, they do not replenish coffee/tea, their hairdryer did not work, there are several telephones in your room and in the hotel but none of them work -so when you need new towels, when you need coffee, when you need a working hairdryer - you need to walk down to the front desk each time to speak to someone who is simply 'present', but by no means pleasant or caring. They claim to do a 'thorough cleaning' of the rooms upon departure - do not believe this for a minute! There was a wad of gum on the headboard of one of the beds in the room they gave us when we checked in (see photo). Several of our guests were not pleased with the cleanliness of their rooms either, carpets were not vacuumed, joint tracings were still in the room (even though they claim there's not smoking, but it happened the entire time) The continental breakfast is pre-packaged muffins and prepackaged oatmeal which is pathetic for what they charge to stay there. Most of our folks ended up going out to breakfast or bringing their own because what they served was so sub-par. The cookies that they serve during the afternoon tea time are disgusting - they are the cheapest prepackaged cookies they could find from a cheap grocery store. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for charging more than $250 per night to stay at this place!!! We have paid Far Less at beautiful, well maintained properties with pleasant service, good food, daily room service, etc. I was embarrassed to have brought my people here. We are used to 4* and 5* properties - this came nowhere close to our expectations. We will Never return! I have no comparison to other places in the area, but I have to believe there are other hotels who do far better than this place. SO disappointing and upset that we paid what we did - waste of our members' money!

Very Disappointing Experience - Would Not Return…read more Our first night at the Stone Hill Inn in Stowe was fine. The room was clean, well-appointed, and we had no issues initially. However, the experience declined quickly. Breakfast was mediocre at best. The omelet was bland, and the oatmeal felt like an afterthought -- disappointing given that breakfast is part of what you're paying for at an inn like this. The second night was where things truly went wrong. There was no hot water. We specifically booked this inn for the jacuzzi tub after a long hike, which was the main reason for choosing this property. Instead, we had to check hourly to see if hot water returned, never did, and ultimately went to bed dirty from hiking with no ability to shower. The following morning, the situation escalated unnecessarily. The innkeeper confronted me and aggressively asked me to step into the kitchen, accusing us of breaking a toilet and shattering porcelain on the ground. I was shocked and told him I had no idea what he was referring to because we did not damage anything. I asked for a moment to understand what he was talking about and was told, angrily, that I had "one minute." I declined breakfast that morning -- which was unfortunate since that's one of the supposed highlights of staying here -- and asked if he would like to inspect the room before we left. He refused. I even offered for him to look at the bathroom to see how it would have been impossible for us to damage the toilet, and again he declined. Importantly, we had tipped the innkeeper who cleaned the room, who reportedly found the alleged damage and cleaned it up -- yet noted nothing to us and showed no concern at the time. The belligerent and accusatory behavior of the innkeeper completely overshadowed any positives from the stay. This is not how paying guests -- especially those booking for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, or special occasion -- should ever be treated. We will never return, and I strongly caution anyone considering this inn, particularly if you are looking for a peaceful, romantic experience.

We had also wanted to rewnew our vows and hoped to use a room in the Inn. We knew there would be an added fee (and would have gladly paid) for the use of the room but never expected the unprofessional behavior from the owners! They wanted to plan the event or we had to have it elsewhere. Not considering the fact that our anniv is in the winter, "why not have it outside". ‍ In our talks and emails I was reminded upmteen times "we are a business". (duh)! When I cancelled our res (5 mos out) they wanted to fine us. And called our officiant and yelled at her! Someone needs to teach them Hospitality 101. To be fair, we never ended up staying there. The lack of their knowledge of what a Guest is, kept us away.

We were there on a Sunday, a beautiful spring day - the sun shining and the small group of visitors kept growing as the afternoon progressed. Unknown to us, the Vineyard had a busy agenda planned, but first they steered us to a grassy area away from their main parking area to park for the night. We went inside to the cool and comfortable wine tasting room and were greeted by a very friendly engaging staff. Ruby offered us a sample and ran through their day's agenda. A talented group of musicians were setting up their equipment on the shaded patio outside while guests were spreading blankets on the lawn or setting up a picnic on one of the several available tables. We were meeting old friends there and hoped we could find a seat. The band played much of the music that I grew up on (Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, the Dead, and lots more.) We picked out a few bottles to put in the frig in our rig ... then went back inside. Our friends (that live nearby in Vermont) joined us first inside where we shared a charcuterie board. We later moved to our Class B with them and enjoyed our little picnic, accompanied by their delicious wines. Then late in the afternoon, we went back inside because a jazz ensemble was to perform. The sun was still shining and everyone there was feeling the vibes. We met the owner who had a staff that he should be very proud of - they were very gracious to all the guests that came through. Be sure and stay here if it's in your path.

It really depends on your palette, and you have to understand that the grapes local to the area will not be your typical grapes. My family got flights, both sweet and dry. We really liked the 2023 Louise and 2022 Marquette. In fact, the Marquette was the best of the bunch from my point of view. The ciders were both really sweet, but the Eden Angeljus was pretty good and reminiscent of Mead. The Riesling was also a favorite. We got a cheeseboard for two, and that was freaking delicious. It came with a maple cranberry preserve that was out of this world. But the cheese, and even the crackers, were exceptionally good, too. Beyond that, the service was exemplary. Ruby in particular was a joy to talk to and quite good at her job. Finally, the live music they had playing was surprisingly good. I did not expect that kind of quality on a random Saturday in May. I highly recommend going to this winery.
