I could not be happier about my experience with My High Tide! First off booking the Yacht was incredibly easy. I was able to quickly book online which was easy to do. I did have a few questions and called them directly and they answered right away and were very helpful. They had a few great options to choose from but with the size of our group we decided to go with the Azimut 72. IT IS GORGEOUS! The observation deck up top gives you amazing views of the water. The stern has so much room to relax and is incredibly luxurious. My wife loved the front of the vessel where she could get some sun and just relax. This yacht seemed brand new and was awesome. What made the experience over the top was the staff on board. Captain Joe was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. No doubt in my mind that he knew exactly what he was doing the whole time. We also had Wayne on the boat who was the First Mate. He was great and always willing to answer all the questions we had. You could tell that both of these gentleman loved what they did and took care of all the guests. These two made the experience unforgettable! We went for a half day ride on the Sea Ray 280. The boat was clean and comfortably sat 10 of us. Our first experience with this years ago was not great, as the boat was full of highly intoxicated passengers, but this time around things were more subdued. However, I had an absolutely bizarre experience with the bartender "Justin" on this trip. On the return trip, I approached his bar area to buy a beer. He was actively engaged in a conversation with a man at the bar. I waited several minutes. He never made eye contact with me or acknowledge me in anyway. So, I simply went to the other bar, ordered my beer, and as I turned to walk away, "Justin" was standing right in front of me and confronted me about leaving his bar. He reprimanded me for not being patient while he was giving "good customer service" to the man he was chatting with. I was in disbelief that he would approach me in such a manner, and I turned to bartender who served me and and said "Are you actually seeing this and hearing this right now?" As "Justin" walked away after his rant, the other bartender said, "I thought you knew him and he was just joking with you at first." I said, "No, I don't know him and he wasn't joking." The bartender then concluded, "Well I guess he's just in a bitchy mood tonight." It was just really strange, and an act of aggression as far as I'm concerned for him to approach me like that. When I returned to my seat with my husband, we then obsesrved another young crew member with long beard standing on the corner of "Justin's" bar staring daggers at us as if we were somehow being problematic. I hope someone at Key West reads the reviews and checks the cameras to verify this incident. You will clearly see that I was completely ignored at his bar, and then he came over to me and got right up in my personal space to confront me. Who does that?

Our knowledgeable guide Brad told us if you go in the late summer (wet season), 2' or so of water is flowing through it. So, what you see in the two seasons is different. They also have a nice gift shop, small museum and a restaurant. We saw all sorts of birds and animals. Even though they aren't necessarily exotic or rare, you are seeing them in their habitat. The ranch property really represents FL, more so than some other types of tours. And, it is for all ages and reasonably priced. Our visiting late teenage aged grandsons and friend enjoyed the tour every bit as much as we did. Highly recommend!

It is so fun that there is a murder mystery train here in Fort Myers! It seems a bit expensive…read morethough you are getting a train ride, dinner, and show. I felt the train ride itself was a bit unnecessary. There was one nice section of the train ride over water, otherwise there wasn't much to look at. Also the train was swaying back and forth causing me to get a bit nauseous. The food itself was all pretty good! The cheese and fruit plate, potato and leek soup, pretzel roll, and salad were all great starters. I was satisfied with the meal before my entree even arrived! My family and I tried all of the different options (prime rib, salmon, and chicken) and thought they all tasted good. Though I could have done without cranberries in my rice... The dessert was small and light for a cheesecake. Food was surprisingly better than we thought. As for the show, I definitely didn't get how we were supposed to deduce the killer. But the actors did a great job and it was overall a fun night.

The tickets are expensive (makes sense...you're getting a show, a 5-course meal, and riding a train) and being able to buy separately was really helpful for us. Everything the night of the event ran like clockwork. Boarding the train was easy and fun. We had a table in the Gasparilla train car with lovely servers who took care of us all night. Drinks are pretty reasonable (ice tea and water are included, but you can purchase soda, beer, wine, cocktails) and you can even get a full bottle of wine for your table which you can take home if you don't finish onboard. The meal was better than I expected. It started with a fruit and cheese plate, then we had hot pretzel rolls an butter, a delicious potato leek soup, a salad, and then the appetizer. Our choices were prime rib (friends said it was delicious), chicken francese (I loved it) and salmon. Dessert was a cheesecake. The performers were very animated and enthusiastic. These murder mystery shows are always hard for me to actually follow and figure out. I appreciate all that goes into it, but I wish I was a better sleuth. My only issue is that the train ride itself is VERY long at 3 - 3.5 hours. I love a nice train ride, but I wonder if they could shave a little time off the ride.
