This place sucks!!! I don't understand what is so hard about doing a proper fade if you call yourself a barber, there were uneven hairs all over, the "fade" was the worst attempt at it ever, I mean you can see the "shave" line, and the hair, no fade whatsoever...plus the dude left super long hair on my neck!! What The Actual F@ck!! First and Last time here!!

NEGATIVE 3 stars. god damn. he took 1 hours maybe longer cutting my hair only. my hair is totally un even. on side is clean DECENT enough to pass and the other side is no taper or fade. juts butchered. parts of hair are sticking out. he gave me a duck tale smh. i never left the barber shop FUCKED UP like this before. wow........ never again. 25 dollars to. PLEASE i paid for 30$ hair cuts and this is NOT it. NOTTTTT. the asains down the street for 15$ are ALL DAY clean and good. this guy made me look like HIM long hair and weird. i said i want my hair back and fade on sides. he making me look like drug cartel.............. i wanted a simple cut. This place sucks. The barber wouldn't shut up about his date, and he took two and a half hours to cut my hair. Well, he didn't finish cutting my hair. It was taking so long that another dude had to step in. They messed up my hair terribly, and they tried to charge me 30 dollars for this horrible haircut. Please do not go to this place. They legit hire anyone, and they will mess up your hair. read more

Spoken to right as I entered and taken in for a walk in. Took his time and listened to what I had to say for my cut. The place looks alright but no bad energy. The only complaint I got, the guy was way too rough on my scalp when giving me a cut. Bro was smacking me around with the clippers. read more

Had a great experience with the service here. Was greeted as I entered the door and got my cut from Maurice. Maurice did a great job and I had a great time talking with him and the barber next to him, Chris. Great people doing great work! Super friendly & very accommodating to your request & schedule. David & his crew are always more than willing to assist you with service or products upon you asking. They don't push anything on you & don't "up-sell". The shop is spacious, air condition when it's hot out & has a great entertainment set up while you wait or as you get your services. There's TVs, vending machines with snacks & cold drinks, air hockey table & comfy couches in back in case you'd relax while waiting. His staff is highly motivated & they're top notch barbers. I've seen David & his crew handle kids with enthusiasm & always get a smile on the little ones. The prices are super reasonable & its cash only. He also takes appointments just call in case you need to plan your visit. His product line options is fresh & very reputable. Overall this is a well run, clean, professional shop. I just moved to Downey about a year ago n have been looking for the right place to cut my hair. The few Places i visited did not cut my hair how I liked. As I was driving close to home I noticed this little spot n decided to to give them a try I never stop with out checking them on Yelp. I've gotten my hair cut but two different guys here about 3 times here so far. And I'll be continuing to come here for a cut. Alex is my guy he makes me feel comfortable n is very good at his career as a barber. I would defiantly recommend this spot. read more

I have been coming here since shortly after they opened. Usually little to no wait during the week around the early afternoon time is when I usually go. I've had my haircut by three of the barbers there. Alex is really good and he cuts my hair on occasion but Sergio is my regular barber. They all pay close attention to detail and try to make sure you get the exact cut you want. They do not rush through your cut like every other shop I've been to. Dave has even fixed my hair for a reduced price after I had gone to another shop and had gotten a horrible haircut. After that I knew this was my go to place from now on. I come here once a week or every two weeks. After trying several barber shops and being unhappy with my haircuts or the service i was given, i am glad to have found this one, they are consistant with the quality of their haircuts and give off a super friendly and chill vibe. read more

I have visit this location today with my kids waiting in the lobby.I've waited for 15 minutes other customers have got the cut before I did its a its bad management for them not to communica with you as you enter the location appointments they go first they should coummincate with the customers when they come in. I found Shear Pleasure on Yelp and was glad it's close to my residence. The parking lot was full on a weekday morning, but I was lucky to park in the last remaining spot. I entered the barbershop to find a few people waiting for some of the barbers. One was available and took me right away. He was nice and got my cut done. It was no frills, but I appreciate the quick work and good cut at the price of $30. I'll probably come back for a shorter buzzcut during the next few visits until my regular barber returns to work in March.

Luckily when I moved into town, I stumbled across this spot. A lot of the barbers here do really well jobs with fades, tapers lineups, etc. but Tony always goes over and beyond. Make sure to spend a minimum of 40 minutes on my haircut And I always leave more satisfied than my previous visit. I personally love the vibe here, nice and relaxing without having to feel forced of having a whole conversation throughout the duration of my haircut all right guys that was my secret. I know it was gatekeeping, but don't sleep on the spot. Ask for Tony he'll take good care of you.
