They were bought out or merged with W Allis HVAC. Strankowski was always tightly run and reliable. W Allis cancelled my HVAC appt on the day of saying they overbooked. Then I had an electrician appt that was supposed to be here between 8a-9a. At 10:30am they hadn't arrived so I had to cancel because I made other plans afterward. Paid for maintenance contract months ago. Three days prior to service date they canceled appointment. When I called to reschedule I was told they couldn't make it until next year (2026). I stated that wouldn't work and asked to be dropped from the program and have my payment refunded. I was told someone would call me, but I'm still waiting for that call. read more

Just received a call back from Stramowski heating, threatening to post pictures of the house my son, daughter in law and grandchildren live in (my property), saying they will blackmail (my perception and opinion) me by posting pictures of the black mold on the wall, the garbage ( stored items) on the floor, and that the tech didn't feel safe servicing the house . THERE IS NO BLACK MOLD! THERE IS NO GARBAGE, JUST STORED PERSONAL ITEMS! WHAT IS A TECH DOING, TAKING PICTURES OF A PRIVATE PROPERTY ANYWAY ?! HE/SHE DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO DO SO ! Had a blower motor fail, and scheduled a late afternoon service call. The tech came out and diagnosed that same failed motor. He/she didn't have one for my old furnace, but said it would get looked into, and they'd call back in the morning. The next morning, I got a call saying the tech would not come out to the house, because the part wasn't available and the condition of the house ?! YOU MEAN ALL THE ITEMS MY TENNANTS STORED NEAR THE FURNACE ?! OR, THE GRASS THAT WAS A LITTLE LONG, THAT MY SON COULDN'T GET TO BECAUSE HE WAS WORKING TO FEED HIS FAMILY ?! Unbelievable ! I took the day off of work, googled the motor, and bought an identical replacement, off the shelf, at Farm and Fleet . The part (blower motor) is readily available almost anywhere. Had it replaced in about 2 hours, and I'm not a HVAC tech. I would NEVER consider using Stramowski heating again, ever, if they were the last hvac company around. The only thing good about this experience is they refunded the charge for the $229 ( yes, $229, just to come out after 5 ) service call . read more

Years of trust lost because they charged for work they did not perform and claimed $1,175.00 in additional work was required before they could turn the heat back on. At least we got that additional service on the same day. We had a radiant baseboard pipe relocated. The contract called for stubbing in pipes that would allow for a smaller kick plate heater in the future. To stub-in, flow-ts were necessary. They did not have flow-T's, their part suppliers did not have flow-t's, I ran to home depot who also did not have flow-ts. I asked them to take $200 off the contract. They refused. We do not have stubbed in piping for a kickplate heater. They then said that our boiler could not be turned back on without another $1175.00 in necessary work. A temperature pressure gage, an automatic air vent, an expansion tank, Back flow fill valve, and a purge valve. Since purchasing the home in 2019 they had been doing our proactive maintenance on our radiant heat system. We paid for them to come out on service calls because of a "whistle-bang" like a bottle rocket noise. They never diagnosed that the expansion tank failed or suggested it as the problem. They did take our money every time and said it was just normal. The problem goes all the way to the ownership. Kevin Stramoski had been on at least one of these service calls and was directly involved in supervising Jon and Ari in the work on our home. They melted our floor with their torch and initially denied doing it. Later they admitted to doing it and they were prompt in turning a claim into Secura Insurance. Secura was quick to accept liability for the damage. We are still working through the claim process. Overall, I used to recommend them but now I know that was a mistake. Years of service and trust lost because they charged us for work they did not perform, hit us for $1175 in additional work, and melted our floor. I paid their $2,975.50 bill in full today because $200.00 is a small price to pay to never have to deal with someone like this again. read more

2-2022 first time I called them because my furnace was running 2-3 hours at a time and we weren't getting much heat upstairs. They never bothered to call me back even though it said they were open until 2100 on the weekend on their site. Won't bother calling them again. read more

The repair men were good, except they charged me an extra $50 for plugging in something that just fell out of it's plug. However, when it came time to get a quote for a new boiler replacement the guy got weird about me getting other quotes-- saying he doesn't do business that way. When he did come to give me the quote, it was higher than I expected. Also, I think he had pink-eye or covid while he was here. They were recommended by a friend who had no issues with here furnace replacements. read more

When my old HVAC company abandoned me, Stramowski came to save the day! My first interaction with this company was very positive, and I will continue to conduct business with them in the future. First off, they were very friendly and accommodating when setting up a time to provide a quotation on a new AC unit. Having the summer heat, a broken AC unit, an 8 month old and a pregnant wife, it was important for me to get this fixed quickly, and Stramowski came to quote me within 24 hours. The gentleman who quoted me did so professionally, and answered all of my many questions. I never felt like I was being misled or up-sold, as I have experienced with other companies. The price was just right too! The installation team was also prompt and did the job with quality. They answered all of my questions and cleaned up the place to be better than when they found it. Scheduled a technician for a Sunday. They canceled. Had to miss work on Monday. I suggested to the technician what the problem might be. Told me I was wrong. Said it was something else and not to use my AC. Did not diagnose of fix my problem. Tried to sell me awhole new system. I replaced the part i thought it was (a contactor, $45). I called customer service to get a refund because the technician failed to do his job. They were going to refund me after talking to the owner. I asked for and estimate for a system and the "boss" came to my home, knowing of my situation, and ALSO said i would be getting refund. It's been months. No refund. read more

Had my 15+ year old HVAC replaced by Stramowski with Amana system. The service was great, and the installation was outstanding. They were prompt, and able to complete the job on time even with a couple of unexpected challenges. The new installation is far better than the original equipment. Not the lowest bidder, but competitive and worth paying for. The Amana system is much quieter than my original equipment, and cools the house quickly. read more

When my old boiler was no longer working properly I called for service. The service technician was extremely knowledgeable nd very honest. The gentleman who came out with a quote was very easy to speak with. He arrived timely, answered my questions, found financing and assured me I would again have heat. The gentlemen who installed the boiler also arrived timely, kept me informed of what they were doing. When they finished the job I had heat. Firstly the front end receptionist, Kim, is incredibly rude and curt, and I mean she is extremely unpleasant. Secondly they do not want to work on any equipment they don't sell to you and she made it clear that they'd be happy to sell us something in a sassy manner. Also, they were not willing to actually review the manual. Also, told me that they were unable to reach the manufacturer of our equipment. Yet, the company that fixed it called while in our home and reached the manufacturer technical support on first try and followed up from their office with manufacturer as to have a successful repair. The company that fixed it said it is nice equipment opposed the impression that our equipment is not par and is an off brand. The reason for two stars is the "technician" that was sent out to our home was pleasant, of which he doesn't do repairs unless it's a reset of codes, was pleasant and they refunded our money for that visit. Although Kim hammered home that they do not refund or use funds toward repairs. So, my recommendation is if you want a new install this MAY be the company for you or if they installed your equipment they MAY be the one to repair it though I do not believe they carry a broad scope of knowledge when it comes to repairs. Plus, if you want to be treated poorly, talked down to, cut off while speaking, not listened to and like an all around horrible attitude while phoning in for anything that requires you to deal with the receptionist, Kim, or like to get the run around this is the place for you. read more

NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND this company to anyone. I called them in June of 2017, their service tech Brad came out and looked at my system to diagnose, he told me my compressor was locked up, and it was likely due to contamination from a leak at the coil, they charged me about $100 for the diagnostic. they sent a sales rep to quote the work a few days later named and quoted to replace my outdoor unit/compressor and coil located inside the house. over $6500 in parts and labor I shopped around and got other opinions and ANOTHER/DIFFERENT company came out where I paid another diagnostic of $90 and they actually took the time to diagnose my concern, and found it was a faulty safety switch located at my coil that was preventing power or intermittently cutting power to the compressor. charged me under $400 for the diag and repair, saving me THOUSANDS very poor diagnostic and service stramowski. WOW I am so disgusted right now! Called this ridiculous company because we haven't had heat in 1 1/2 days. Told the guy on the phone I rent but previous people had a sticker on furnace from this co. While starting to look at furnace we discussed "landlord" having other people look at it. He said he wouldn't continue the work because I wasn't homeowner (even to diagnose the problem) even though I was paying cash & expressed as much to him twice. When I couldn't reach the landlord who is hunting we tried the 2nd landlord. She didn't immediately answer so he left stating he'd return immediately if she called him & gave them a credit card #. She returned my call & gave the OK. I called the tech back & left a message stating as much. He returned my call to say that the manager & he decided we should call another "outfit" and he suddenly would be unable to get here at all. I am absolutely disgusted with the service from this so called company. I have kids and my home is currently 45 degrees! This is absolutely appalling! They will never get a call from my family again. Use if you want to pay out the nose & don't forget your credit card number. That was the first thing he told me on the phone is how they accept their payments. Lets worry about how you'll get here & when before you start telling me all the ways I can pay for it! JERKS!! And don't think you'll get any better service calling the "secretary" in the office either. She's got a major attitude when speaking to any females. That's what you call service?
