Carl, Floyd, Brandon, and Jeff built approximately 200 feet of fencing across extremely rocky terrain on a steep hillside leading down to a river. This was not an easy or ordinary fence installation. When solid rock made it impossible to install some of the posts conventionally, they didn't cut corners--they problem-solved and fabricated custom-welded plates and anchors that could be secured directly into the rock. They then wrapped the posts in pressure-treated wood, giving the fence a beautiful, natural appearance that blends perfectly with the surroundings. The finished product is both incredibly solid and great-looking. The entire crew deserves recognition for its professionalism, skill, and extraordinary work ethic, but I especially want to recognize Carl and Floyd. Carl's experience, ingenuity, and commitment to getting everything right were apparent throughout the project. Floyd worked unbelievably hard in extremely challenging conditions and consistently went above and beyond. Brandon and Jeff were also excellent and made an important contribution to a difficult job. This project required real craftsmanship, physical effort, creativity, and persistence, and Shasta Fencing delivered on every level. The final result exceeded our expectations. If you need a fence--especially one involving difficult terrain or unusual challenges--I cannot recommend Carl and the Shasta Fencing team highly enough. I'd requested a quote for perimeter fencing at our house, including several gates. I then sort of put Hugo through the ringer by asking for several variations on the quote, trying to fit our budget and aesthetic preferences. Then, due to financial and health reasons, we had to delay the project several months. Hugo was always gracious and responsive, and did just the right amount of follow up -- enough to keep in touch, but never coming close to being pushy. When we finally did move ahead with the work, he and his crew were prompt, did the work in a very reasonable time frame, and most importantly, they did great work. Several neighbors have commented on how good it all looks, and one who is in the building trades commented that he had watched as the project went along and was impressed by the quality of their work, and I agree! When we got to the end of the project and Hugo came for the final walk through, there were a few minor details to be resolved, but he stayed for a couple hours that day and finished everything off himself. As others have noted, there may be other less expensive options, but in my experience they weren't much less, and we definitely got what we paid for and more. In summary, the quality is great, the look is exactly what we wanted, the job was completed on time, and the customer service couldn't have been much better.
