We followed them and they took us right to it. Thanks, guys! Seward is a helpful kind of place. Our dogs enjoyed the park, although there were no other dogs. I think it was too hot. After running around a bit, our black lab mix cooled off in the giant water dish. He didn't want to leave, but our Aussie herded him into compliance. Seward is fortunate to have such a great place for off leash dogs.

My dog ended up bleeding and needed an antibiotic injection from the vet. What made the situation worse was that the other owner did nothing to intervene, and we had to physically separate the dogs ourselves. It was frightening and completely avoidable if the posted rules had been followed. I hope the park enforces its guidelines more strictly so everyone's pets can stay safe.

There were poo bags stocked in the dispenser, which is nice & very rare in Nebraska. There's not much worse than getting feces on a shoe and mashing it into every crack and crevice of my vehicle. Having stocked poo bags encourages most people to clean up after their pooch. No water station anywhere, which is a huge negative. The best dog parks not only have a drinking station inside each fenced area, but also a rense station as you walk to the parking lot (in case your dog does accidentally step in poop, there's a chance to was most of it off). There is grass, but it just seems to be whatever grows, grows. It doesn't seem to be well taken care of. They to appear to cut the grass in the warmer months, but cut the grass way too short. It's mostly weeds they die off in the winter, to make a muddy wonderland. There is a trail around the South East entrance. Didn't hit it today, but I will in the near future. Overall, just okay. Bring your own water.
