The breakfast was special for the eclipse weekend only. The regular breakfast was coffee, bagels, cereal, and some fruit.

Door & frame are falling off the wall
    Jessica M.

Lack of transparency and communication: - check-in is an EXTREMELY SLOW process and took almost 20 minutes per person in our group of 10 people. - lobby is 100% CLOSED for any reason 0000-0600, and if you must check out between those hours, you must speak directly with the manager. Staff do not communicate. - they have no capacity to email receipts. Speak to the manager before your planned checkout. - hot breakfast seems to be only on weekends. I wish someone could've stated this. It is delicious when it does exist, fried egg, bacon, sausage, etc, I wish it was served M-F. - housekeeping is entirely unpredictable and is allegedly performed by the front desk staff when they have time. Room was only cleaned, and towels refreshed (properly) once during 1.5 week stay. The second time the towels were refreshed they smelled like vinegar and mold. - water and ice from dispensers in the lobby tastes as though contaminated by cleaning agents. Staff use bottled water to fill the machine reservoirs, but I doubt if they properly flush the lines or clean said reservoir. - water from hot water dispenser is not always hot but displays no warning if it's barely lukewarm Room disrepair: - door & door frame is falling off the wall - lightbulbs broken in multiple light sources. This was true in multiple rooms. - bed is sagging and decrepit - deep gouges present in wall - shower has inadequate pressure and swings wildly between arctic cold and blazing hot - no facial tissues are supplied by the hotel, requiring one to use toilet paper - linoleum-esque floor is bubbling in multiple locations of room, and in the bathroom those bubbles ooze water when you step on it. - no bath mats are provided, and you must use hand towels to step out of the shower, otherwise further worsening the floor bubbling - tub is extremely slippery with no grip. Other rooms with no-slip mats are moldy and old and needs replacing -some rooms have beds on rollers that are not secured. If you sit propped up in bed against the wall to watch TV or something, the bed might just slide out from under you. - in-room coffee maker's hot water boiled over onto the power cord. Never was addressed when it was brought up as a safety concern to staff. - card keys to our room doors didn't work for the first 2 days of our stay. The staff claimed they were "working on it" but instead of being on the phone with IT or the manager, they would be wandering around moving furniture or just playing games on their phone. The staff were very polite, however, this is not a "boutique hotel." This is a motel that was superficially renovated and is now returning to its prior state of disrepair. The photos you see on Google appear to have been taken years ago, and heavily staged. I was here for a work trip, but hope to never stay here ever again.

    Curtains do not cover windows

Worst hotel I have ever been to- smoke alarms were removed and had exposed wiring. Curtains were hanging from rod and did not cover windows- as a solo female traveler this was frightening and I felt very unsafe. Tile was missing from the floor exposing concrete and when I expressed concern about safety at check in - I was given a ...well, you know not really a hundred percent. Owner will not work with you.

This places makes me want to step in front of a bus. I checked in and went directly to the room there isn't a elevator here so you need to lug heavy items up stairs. Went into the room and most of the lights didn't work... opening the door is just weird thought I was at the wrong room, you have to play with the handle. Started looking around in the room and found a roach under the sink... ughhh. Immediately went to the front desk and told the lady she took me to another room. I searched around and it was cleaner and the lights worked. Went to take a piss and there's a dead roach caught in a spider web.... just fuck my life... and why the hell are there blinds that don't cover the widnows... tried to find other hotels in the area but short notice nothing was available. I will speak to the manager but I don't expect much to come from it.

THEY DO NOT MOP: The bottom of my feet from walking barefoot in our room for approximately an hour while getting dressed & packed to leave.

You can check in at 3 PM with no surcharge. I am a rewards member and never had an issue checking in early. It should not matter if I am a rewards member or not. Got my room keys then went to my room after checking in there was a mist in the air, a maid shows up an said this room was out of service. Needless to say back to the front desk, where we were assigned another room, I requested to have the manager come speak to me about the early check-in procedure. Needless to say the manager never showed up and eventually I found out he was never informed. Breakfast was not great mediocre at best, if you like watery egg hits and grits you are in like Flynn. Just not a large selection of choices for breakfast. Checked out with no issue, Manager did me a solid and did not share me a pet fee for my stay so I can assume it was because of the mess up with the room cleaning. **Exceptional Service from Ebony at TownePlace Suites - A True Gem!**…read more My husband and I recently stayed at TownePlace Suites in Killeen while attending a church conference and exploring homes for our upcoming move to Texas. From the moment we arrived, Ebony at the front desk made us feel like absolute VIPs. Her warm smile, approachable demeanor, and genuine hospitality turned our stay into something truly memorable. Ebony greeted us every time we entered or exited the hotel with kindness and grace, making us feel more like family than guests. She was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The hotel itself was fantastic--our room had a well-equipped kitchenette perfect for a short stay, and the shower had great pressure with consistently hot water. Breakfast was a delightful surprise, especially the individually packaged Spanish egg whites--scrumptious and satisfying! Plus, having 24-hour access to coffee, tea, and hot water in the lobby was a thoughtful touch. Conveniently located near Walmart and several restaurants (all within a 10-minute drive), TownePlace Suites offered everything we needed. But what truly set this experience apart was Ebony's outstanding service. If you're ever in Killeen, Texas, do yourself a favor and stay at TownePlace Suites--where you're treated like family and feel right at home.

Our group (around 20) worked very early hours and the staff accommodated all of us by ensuring there was breakfast set out before their normal hours. I will definitely stay at the TownePlace Suites again the next time I am in town and will recommend this hotel over others in the area.

DIRTY...DIRTY...DIRTY!…read more I really wish I would have spent a few more dollars and stayed somewhere else. The hotel is disgustingly dirty to the point of health risk! The lobby seemed fine but once we entered the hallway we could instantly tell the staff, management and owner had given up on cleanliness. The halls were filthy, the carpets were torn and peeling from the floor, and see the pics for other blemishes. As for the room...the hallways were immaculate in comparison to the rooms. We always travel with Clorox wipes and after wiping blood, yuckiness and whatever else the spots, streaks and globs were from the high touch areas we new the room wasn't cleaned! There were half used toiletries in the room and previous guest dirty clothes. And while there weren't many guests, the hotel didn't have a clean room to move us to. Additionally, they didn't have clean towels. We had to use mini-towels. Not a huge deal but neither is doing laundry. The only reason I didn't rate the place 1-star is the front desk staff was pleasant and the place was inexpensive. It is my recommendation that you look for other accommodations. Additionally, if you check my Yelp profile, you'll see I rarely give a bad review. :-)

It's off the freeway and I got lost initially walking into the hotel next door. Check in was easy- the clerks were pleasant. I thought it would be super noisy between the freeway and fireworks around 4th of July weekend and being on the bottom floor (room 112). However I slept well. The bed was comfortable, I had the air conditioning on full blast and the television on. The breakfast was simple- and I giggled when I discovered the waffle maker made Texas shape waffles. A couple of negatives: I managed to scrape my knee multiple times on the mesh desk chair. Gratefully my friends with the three kids had stuff to sooth the scratches and mitigate the sting- as I worried I might be a slurpee buffet to Killeen's mosquitoes. The soap and lotion had a petro-chemical feel and smell- that was a bit off. I know oil is big in Texas- maybe this is the hotel's attempt at keeping things local. There was chipped paint in the bathtub on the grab bar- but the room was otherwise in great condition. Would I stay here again? Definitely. Great value. $160.46 for two nights was incredibly reasonable. I would just need to remember to bring my own soap and lotion and stay away from the desk chair.
