I was there when the office opened at 8:17am, which was later than I was supposed to arrive. My appointment was at 8:30am. The receptionist made me wait for ten minutes until she finally opened the window (which, by the way, makes them appear unwelcoming and old fashioned), I gave her my ID and she indicated that I was scheduled with an oncologist. I said there was a mistake and asked if she had my records and she confirmed they did. I indicated that I had a 85 year old in a wheelchair that I had to leave for the appointment and requested that I be seen anyway because there weren't any patients in the office and she was there. They refused saying they had 8:30am patients, I was there waiting until 8:40am and there were NO 8:30am patients in the office. The receptionist blamed ME for their scheduling service erroneously scheduling me with an Oncologist, when my medical records had been sent to them and she confirmed they were in their possession. How did that happen if I didn't make an appointment with Dr. Iglesias' office? I then called Mt. Sinai customer service who told me I had scheduled with an oncologist, which I did not. They then had the nerve to ask me what phone number I called. Very, very unprofessional and made no effort to escalate the situation. After this This might be a great Doctor but her staff is sloppy and she made no personal effort to rectify the situation. If there were an emergency I'm not sure you could count on this office or the Doctor to help you.

Dr. Reina should not be a pediatrician with her "I've seen too many patients today and I'm grouchy" attitude. She treats the parents like they are beneath her and since she has had a long stressful day with sick children, it gives her the right to take it out on others. Her bedside manners are horrific and she is not gentle with the children. My daughter ended throwing up all over herself because Dr. Reina stuck the wooden palette too far down her throat. My daughter was trembling enormously when the doctor injected the vaccine in her arm. The pressure and force she used was too hard and isn't how a pediatrician should be. This doctor will traumatize your children. As soon as my daughter sees her, she starts crying out loud, which she never does. Please save yourself the aggravation and do not take them to her. She should change her name from Dr. Reina to Dr. Jekyll. The last straw was when I was not called to be informed that the varicella vaccine was not available at her office. I left work early to take my daughter to get her vaccine. I waited 45 minutes to then be told to come back another day because the vaccine wasn't available. She then offered to give me a falsified form to give to my daughter's daycare stating she received the vaccine when in fact she didn't. When I told her that I just wish that they would have called me to let me know that the vaccine wasn't in, she forcefully yanked the form from my hand and yelled to me in front of her staff, "Well, if you are going to complain to me, then I don't have to do you any favors." I was so in shock a "professional" doctor would speak to me in this manner. I'm sure the patients waiting outside heard her as well because it was loud. I didn't speak back to her and decided to leave because my daughter was with me. I called my husband to tell him what happened. He called her and she hung up on him as soon as he started to tell her that he didn't appreciate how rude she has been within all the visits, not only this one to me, but all of them, including to him. Please do yourself a favor and do not take your children to this pediatrician. She is a frustrated woman who takes it out on innocent little children as well as their parents. P.S. The place is absolutely filthy. The chairs in the sitting area are disgusting, dirty and stained. The floor is dirty. The patient rooms are gross and outdated--everything is old and dirty. The rooms do not even have a sink so the doctor can wash and sanitize her hands after handling the patient. The waiting area has no toys except two small seats for toddlers and she plays the same movie every single day, Kung Fu Panda, over and over and over again. Absolutely no care in the world for professionalism and courtesy. You have been forewarned!

First off, I don't like doctors, hospitals or anything medically-related; it's just depressing. Unfortunately, I have an autoimmune disorder, which makes the matter of like or dislike immaterial. Needless to say, I won the lottery when I found Dr. Sesin. He's an excellent physician, but an even better human being. Regrettably, there are few doctors who exude this trait, a distressing commentary on the medical profession these days. Dr. Sesin stands out because it's clear he sees himself as a human first, then as an upholder of the Hippocratic Oath. There is no arrogance in the man. In fact, I would hazard a guess that he doesn't take himself too seriously. But how he views his patients is especially telling. It's clear their well-being, their comfort, their sense of self is paramount to him. Bottom line, he eschews the clinical term: patients and instead, treats people with dignity, concern, often making them laugh with his awesome sense of humor. I've never had a doctor make me laugh. Imagine having one who makes you laugh even as you're suffering. And he's done it on several occasions. Wow. His office is in the Mount Sinai Medical Center complex. It appears he and his colleagues enjoy an active practice as the waiting room is always full. But there's no stagnancy, think Grand Central at rush-hour because the turn-around is incredible. His staff is friendly, compassionate and super-efficient. The office is run like a tight, technologically-advanced, ship. Wait time is, at best, minimal. And I, for one, have never felt rushed. Once, I waited for about an hour. It was last week. But let me be clear, the wait was not inefficiency; it was an act of kindness. I was in considerable pain. They squeezed me in, even though my standing appointment was in October. I read a magazine; I went downstairs to grab a cup of coffee; I read a few emails. I was hurting, but they squeezed me in. How about that? When I thanked Dr. Sesin for seeing me on short notice, he said, "it's not me; it's those guys out there. They tell me where to go, and I go." In fact, when I complained of reoccuring pelvic pain following the birth of my son, she took an x-ray of my GI tract and tried to convince me that the pain I was having was gas and stool. Great, except that at the time of the appointment I wasn't having pain so even if there was gas and stool in my intestines, it wasn't painful. However, she wouldn't listen and insisted that I had irritable bowel syndrome. After several visits, at which I was ridiculed and treated in a condescending nature, I switched to a new doctor who was able to appropriately diagnose and treat my non-GI issues. Be warned, she pretends to listen, but creates intestinal fantasies in her head.

I went to have blood drawn 2 days ago and she screwed up putting the needle in my vein so bad I am still in pain and arm is still swollen and badly bruised. This is the second time out of 4 blood draws over the past two years that this happened when she drew blood. Once putting the needle in and one pulling the needle out. Never had this happen to me before anywhere else. And my veins are large and very easy to place a needle in. Sorry to say but this employee should not be working in this job.
