We stopped by the world famous Playa Mar Chiquita today…read more Much to our delight, a nice, little lady (I'll call her the dessert lady) named Wanda, stopped by selling homemade flans, tres leches cakes and coquito. The flavors of flan were: Baileys Coconut Pumpkin vanilla cream cream cheese tequila rose We bought a bottle of Coquito and the Bailey's and the coconut flans. All three were delicious! Of the flans, I think my favorite was the coconut because it actually had coconut pieces in it. They were both really good though. If we had more people with us, I would like to have tried more especially the tequila rose. I'm not from Puerto Rico so for those of you who, like me, have never tried Coquito. I'll do my best to explain it. Apparently, it's a coconut-based alcoholic beverage that originated in Puerto Rico. It is a holiday drink that is akin to eggnog with similar eggnog flavoring. Although it does not contain any eggs, the consistency is very similar to the thickness of eggnog. It too, was very good. If you happen to be there, just wait for a while. She'll show up in the afternoon sometime. She was very nice. I hope you get a chance to try her desserts because I think you'll really like all the things she has for sale. At least I did anyway.

The rich coconut and cinnamon with the light boba, I could easily drink this every day. And yes, it tastes just like coquito. The shop is adorable with cute merch available as well. Along with the boba, they had cute mango shaped icecreams that were easy to hold for little ones. Their Korean corn dogs were dangerously delicious, despite its massive size and me getting full from the boba, I kept going back to it. The service was friendly and quick!
