This is a little stand in a plaza that was plenty busy when I went. They have coffees and drinks, but the flavors seemed to be made with syrups so I opted to focus on breakfast. Service was great and I ordered one empanada and 2 quesitos. One quesito was with guayaba (guava) and one was plain, so just the sweet cheese. The empanada wasn't very remarkable and I would probably skip next time, but I enjoyed both quesitos. Quesitos are so delicious and a perfect pastry breakfast. read more

Try these Mallorcas first when you visit Puerto Rico- simply for the price. Once you try authentic ones, say from the famous Cafe Mallorca, you won't return to this spot despite its awesome location. There is a tranquil outdoor eatery but no outside food... is allowed in the outside eatery. They will wag their finger in your face and make you walk 3 feet to sit at the fountain. Basically, Don't buy french fries from across the street and expect to come order coffee and pastries here- they simply won't allow it. read more

I was interested for the mayorca sandwich that you can see in the pictures. When I got there I was glad to find a welcoming smile from the ladies at the cafe and an amazing smell of freshly brewed coffee. What was an amazing surprise was the quesito; sweet, not too crunchy, not too chewy, moist with a hint of tart from the cream cheese. Paired amazingly with a hot dirty chai, perfect for the comfortable vibe of the decor of cuatro estaciones and the placita. read more

Cute little kiosk on the square. Nice to stop here on a sunny morning or for a espresso walking break. Cash only. Stopped here for a mid morning break. The espresso is fresh and delicious. I got a shot for $1.40 and it was a nice little pick me up. The pastries are fine but they are frozen fyi (I asked). Brought one to take back and it was mediocre and expensive ($4) for just cheese bread. The line can get busy and there is usually only one worker but they hustle. Super sweet and helpful. Be prepared to not rush. But with a view/patio like that there is no need to rush anyway :) read more

It's a cute little coffee stand in the middle of the town square by the fountain. They have some pastries, but I'm only going to speak for the coffee here. I'm a big Starbucks girl and when I tell you, this is the BEST iced coffee I've ever had in my life. It was strong and flavorful. I just wish I knew what brand of beans they use so that I can purchase them online. read more

Unsafe place! I would give them 0 stars in all areas if I could. I got a 2nd degree burn from this place- do not go here! I ordered a tea that was steaming hot because they use the milk steamer on the espresso maker to make it. I asked for a napkin because I could not even hold the cup it was so hot. While I was adjusting the cup in my hands the top came off on its own and poured steaming water all over my hand. They sprayed something on it and gave me ice (which is NOT what you are supposed to do for a burn). The woman working there said, "We know the water is too hot." I was in the WORST pain for hours after this occurred. Do not go here- I am dealing with a terrible burn because of their unsafe practices. read more

The pastries we got were very good. I found a BEE in my drink though... The only reason we found it was because my dad was using some of my ice for his scolding hot coffee. The lady was nice ish but she was the only one there working so she could only go so fast. It was a very nice place to sit around all the plants and pigeons. read more

The best coffee of our trip, hands down! What a great find, I could not recommend this place enough. Skip every other breakfast place and come here to enjoy pastries, delicious coffee, and a outdoor patio right on a square in old San Juan. Through in cheap prices and it'll make your day! The Mallorca was delicious and a must have, we also had a guava filled pastry which actually is a skip, there was so little guava filling, I was hoping it would be a bold delicious flavor but it really wasn't. Usually is everything is not perfect I would give it a four star, but the rest was so delicious I can't justify anything lower than five! read more

Definitely stop by here if you find yourself in San Juan. This is a small cash-only kiosk that sells tea, coffee, pastries, and various other delights. There is an outdoor sitting area that doesn't provide much protection from the elements but is very well decorated with string lights and plants. Plaza de Armas is beautiful during the day and makes for a great place to enjoy your coffee while reading a book. The service is friendly and inviting, I enjoyed two coffees and three pastries during my stay here. You can taste the freshness of the beans they use in their coffee, which is to be expected in Puerto Rico. Their pastries are wonderful and very well-made. It makes for an excellent place to study as well, and they even offer their own WiFi! read more

We loved this small coffee and pastry stand and ended up visiting it multiple times during our stay in Old San Juan. Their coffee and lattes are strong, made with care, and are delicious. Oh my goodness! What an angelic little coffee cafe station with delicious addictive coffee! The pastries were fresh and the Mallorca ham y queso was so yummy. We found this little garden a welcome respite from our sight seeing and stayed hours talking, laughing and people watching, it was one of my favorite places to be during our Old San Juan days, bring cash only and order the latte. This was one of the places that bf and I ended up at around midnight one night. The Yelp schedule shows that this place closes at 12 am, but that Saturday night we were there, I think the coffee stand was open until at least 1 am. I got a coffee, after having stuffed my belly at nearby Cafe Berlin with tea and flancocho (a flan and chocolate cake concoction). I wasn't even hungry, but I did it in the name of shoving as much local fare in my belly as possible before having to return to the contiguous 48 states. The woman who whipped up my coffee was sweet as pie and convinced me to try a Mallorca, a sweet bread sandwich with guava and cheese (you can get other fillings too). Everything was delicious and uber economical. The coffee is made with no sugar and you sprinkle in as much raw sugar as you would like. Just don't use the spoon that she has for the sugar to do the stirring. She probably will smile at you if you do this and apologize but she'll secretly curse you for making her get a new spoon to stick back in the sugar jar. And no, I did not do this. But she did relay a story about it. read more

This is the place you go to have a cup of coffee or tea and just relax while watching the people enjoying their time in plaza de armas. Its perfect for a quick stop to try the delicious cafe con leche and a quesito. Its always full of locals that meet up there to have a chat during the day. Before you go remember to see the Tite Curet stature thats next to the cafe. He lived in the building just in front and was a renowned music composer. read more

The coffee here is so good and so cheap. $2.5 for one decent empanada and great quality coffee. My friend and I visited here twice in a row. It's a local place. You barely see any tourists here, even the hour says until noon, he will stay there until sell out. We came around 4pm and it's still going on read more

What a cool little spot for a coffee. Located right on a square in Old SJ, it looks like a little photo booth! The service was not particularly attentive, but hey, it's carry out coffee. And what delicious coffee! My wife is a Starbucks junkie, and she liked this better!!! And 1/3 the cost. The square has a great fountain, the 4 seasons, I'm sure after which the coffee shop is named. You sit outside and enjoy...they had pastries, too, but we did not try them. They looked good, though. Definitely worth the trip. read more

They have a cute little outdoor atrium seating area, but we preferred indoors where all the comfy pillow seating was. Just a note - they don't offer decaf - but for regular coffee drinkers, it's a must-visit. Such a gem in Old San Juan!

The staff member stayed on his phone while barely acknowledging customers and did not seem very happy to be there, in general. It is sad that 1 employee can really impact customer experience so much. All of the customers seem to react to his unfriendly nature with amazement and bewilderment, in my opinion observing others' reactions. We would recommend this coffee shop for the coffee and food but just hope someone else is staffing the shop when you visit.

There were 2 orders of chicken and waffles with eggs. Barely warm and the waffles were overcooked. 1 order of an omelet with potatoes. The omelet was warm but the potatoes were cold. 1 order of the salmon bagel. That was fine because it is not supposed to be hot but the potatoes that came with it were cold. The lighting is very low so it is not ideal for pictures. After we walked around, we realized there were so many other options we could have chosen for breakfast so do yourself a favor and skip this place!
