First off I am extremely picky on where I eat! I've been coming here for the last 6 years and it's still one of my favorite spots for a breakfast sandwich, coffee, and dessert! Service is great and food is made fresh. I enjoy my hamon, queso y huevo (Ham, cheese & egg) sandwich. My favorite dessert is pastelitos Cubano. The space is relaxed, chill and have many tables to sit. There is parking out in front or a small parking lot to the right (West side) of the building. I used to come here back in the day came here today for breakfast and the food is ok but the service is horrible. The cashier with black hair literally did laps doing nothing while we waited for an order. Someone came in and she went to the counter to chit chat mean while we had a huge line. We ask her for ketchup she literally walks right by the ketchup behind her to go hide behind the cold cuts to use her phone. We ordered food and they gave it to us cold because the cook isn't obviously going to leave the stove. We had asked for orange juice and didn't get jt with our food we were polite not to start a fight and waited on her time to give it to us finished our food and still no orange juice we payed for. I went to remind her and honestly her response was of someone whos basically stoned. This place used to be awesome and even classy. I think it can still be that but that dark haired woman you got at the register needs better training or something. Veronica's Bakery was a nice find in Manati and although all we had was coffee and a buttered toast, we both were happily impressed by the taste of the bread and coffee. The staff showed that friendliness and politeness you come to expect from most Puerto Ricans. Happy and cordial making your experience a positive one. "Artisan" quality sandwiches to rival anything you'd buy in LA, the bread in particular was crispy toasted on the outside & on the inside it tasted fluffy and fresh baked, wow. You will not regret coming here, do stop by. Some of, if not THE best food I ate during my week long stay in PR. If you are visiting the nearby beaches and want to pack a lunch this is it! My fav is the parabiagio, but that's just me since I love a salty prosciutto and the pungent cheese. Whatever you like, waffles, cheesecake, ham & cheese and eggs, tiramisu, Black Forest cake, I tried some of these other things and they were delicious. Our experience at Veronica's Bakery was a very pleasant one. We went there mostly for breakfast during our stay in a hotel nearby. The oatmeal is absolutely amazing!!! We have been living outside of our beautiful Island for almost 20 years and it is the first time that we tried an oatmeal as delicious as our grandmothers used to prepare it. The Big Breakfast is also very good, with a decent portion of scrambled eggs and pancakes, accompanied with fresh bread toasts (a great option to share). I also got the Catalan Omelette made with Serrano Ham and Manchego Cheese and it was also very delicious. My wife got the Banana Nuts Pancakes and they were fluffy and tasteful. And the coffee was absolutely amazing; we got coffee latte with the boldness of our Puerto Rican brewed coffee (absolutely heavenly, for those of you coffee lovers out there!!!). The service is very cordial and I had the chance to have a nice chat with Doña Gladys and some of the staff there. The place is clean and decorated with cool memorabilia. My hubby and stopped on our way south. They offer basic coffee, two sizes. It was extremely tasty. I ordered a glazed donut. Different from stateside but still good. Lots of locals and a few tourists frequent the establishment. Bathrooms in the back of the building. Outside and inside seating. The menu is in Spanish. The staff did not speak English. I'm very disappointed in all the yelpers who said this place was good. I came here for a quick breakfast with my boyfriend. He had the ham and cheese which was pretty basic and he ate it just to have food in his stomach. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese and I was a bit disgusted...I saw the chef microwave my bacon and the bacon pieces were literally just all fat. I am very shocked that this place has so much good reviews but I couldn't give it anymore than a 1 star, I would give zero if I could. read more

We were American travelers looking for a place to eat in a random area along our route, boy are we glad we found this place! The cashier said she didn't speak English well but she was very sweet and did her best to patiently accommodate us as we asked questions. The menu was fully in Spanish so I asked her what we could get without meat and she kindly communicated to the cooks what we needed. We really enjoyed the pastries and the French toast. This little place is soooo good! They have tons of desserts here but also good sandwiches and other meals. Very happy I stumbled onto this places and will frequently come back from breakfast to snacks. They do have some people that are working there that speak English and are every nice. The sandwich I got was one with prosciutto and cheese and ok but nothing special for 8 bucks. We asked locals where we should eat for breakfast the night before. A lady recommended this place to us. It was wonderful, and one of the best meals we've had here. Two of us ordered sandwiches, the Cuban and Marco Polo (I recommend both of them), one of us ate a breakfast burrito, and the other (a vegan) politely asked if they could make a veggie sandwich for him. They did, and he said it was great. Great coffee, friendly and accommodating people, and flavorful food. If you're in the area, try it out, or at least quickly grab a pastry or doughnut. Excelent place with great customer service and ambiance. It is spacious both inside and outside so you can enjoy your food indoors or outdoors. It also has its own parking lot and it also opens really early (5:30AM) and closes relatively late (9:30PM). It's great for breakfast (their oatmeal is phenomenal), brunch (oh! Those pancakes!!!), lunch (their soups are made in heaven), an afternoon coffee and/or a quick dinner (their sandwiches are to die for!). The also bake their own bread.
