Furthermore, since my daughter was going there frequently a staffer gave her a smaller ball that was scratched up to take some, well this staffer ripped it out of her and and through it down. Streamwood Bowl is one of them not-so-fancy bowling alleys, with CRT score monitors, which is A-OK with me. There's plenty of bowling balls to choose from, and on a Tuesday night, there was a decent crowd. Actually, it was a decent crowd for any night TBH. On Tuesdays after 8, you can bowl all you want from 8PM-11PM for just $10 per person. A pretty good deal, if you ask this cheap bastard. Shoe rentals go for only $3 so I'm definitely a fan of the price. I got the velcro laceless shoes. It brought me back to when I was a wee old lad. Bowling was a good time. Although the scoreboard was rather old, it served its purpose. While newer scoreboards have fancy animation in between frames and such, these scoreboards show the score, and in between frames, advice on how to get that spare or maximize on pin knockage. That's all I really need. No need to be taunted by the scoreboard after this Gutterball McGee goes for three in a row. My highest score out of the five games we played was an 87 ha. But it was good time. Everything for us worked great, although the lane right next to us did freeze in between a frame, and pressing the "reset" button on the side of the ball return track didn't get it back.... on track. Get it? OK drop the mic. BATHROOM REVIEW: Bathrooms located near the arcade area, the mens bathroom consisted of a couple of stalls and urinals. It smelled like an old bathroom that needed to be cleaned.... 3 years ago. There was only one sink and the water pressure was low. At least the soap dispenser worked. Sit or squat? Its not a dump and management has improved. Prices can be decent and not too outrageous like some of the other suburban bowling alleys. Food is ok, the cooks go out of their way to make it your way. Please be good to them and tip. I cannot fuckin stand some of the employees that clear the lanes of debris, i.e. balls, pins. These morons, who knows, (who trained them), they are notorious for stepping onto the lanes and smudging the oil. (If you don't know what this means, ask a bowler to explain. ) Lanes are not meant to be touched by anything, but the ball, the pins and the waxing machine. If a footprint is left on the lane, that can cause your ball to suddenly change direction, it changes the entire path that you'd laid, when you dropped your bowling ball. Sometimes at night during league play, you can catch these punks smoking weed in the Men's room. Classy, I know. Good alcohol specials. read more

Bowling in league here is embarrassing. The lanes are broken down... many gutters have holes or cracks and they have been this way for years. Many lanes have chips or actual missing pieces of wood. The ceiling tiles are stained and are in desperate need of repair. After being in a league here for 4 years, the bathrooms only get worse. No water pressure and just in complete need of updating. The bars are are broken down and not equipped for leagues. Stale soda and tonic, flat cola's and no draft beer at one bar since the draft system has been broken for years. With a little investment back into this business it could be a great place for families, leagues and fun. It's in good location. I will say it is a much better value than most other alleys. Much less expensive than PinStripes or Brunswick Zone read more

Great family outing. We took our boys on a Sunday evening for some good o'l family fun. This is a family owned business that considerably cares about their establishment. We got our shoes and rented our lane, the guy at the counter recommended paying per game instead of purchasing three..no up sales or scamming here-LIKE. The same gentleman brought both my boys 6 lbs balls to use instead of us squandering for them. We ordered some food and the cook actually came out to ask my husband and I what we wanted on our burgers...Wow. The same cook brought us our food and asked to clear our table after as well, we tipped him for his generous service. Well, that kid took care of us when we utilized the arcade area. The recommendations, the bathrooms are freezing! The arcade is a typical play at your own risk, but they have an Air Hockey table-Bonus! Equipment is heavily worn, the balls are covered in gashes, the displays sometimes malfunctioned during the game. Would not recommend, your money is better spent elsewhere read more

I have bowled here for at least 25 years. Management has changed, and some owners have changed. I have still always been satisfied with the alley, up until recently. The last several times I have had a horrific experience. I went with my brother who has autism, severe autism to say the least. The service provided by the manager and possible owner was despicable. This was not the first time he has treated him this way. He waits to prepare food that has been ordered, stalls as long as he can to put the bumpers in the lanes, and whenever he is asked for assistance he makes it very apparent that he is bothered. Other workers there are compassionate and willing to help wherever needed. I am extremely dissatisfied with treatment here as a paying customer, and will not be returning to Streamwood lanes. read more

Me and my girlfriend went in to shoot pool around 9 o'clock, the old mean balding manager told me he wasn't staying open for a 6.50 an hr pool table. We have taken kids here on field trips for the park district, and it's not too bad. The kids seemed to enjoy it. There's a game room, the lanes (that don't seem to be run-down) and the pro shop that is open until 8 on weekdays. First time here in many years... 3 staff guys, 2 were great, the 3rd (owner) complete dbag.. I never make reviews but had such a horrible experience. He was rude everytime i went to him.. He shut the lane off twice in the 10th frame, which ruined our score. At the end of the last game, shut off again and my balls were stuck and didnt comeback. He ordered his employee rudely to retrieve them. When i told him how rude he is, he ran in the office and avoided me. The lanes were to heavily oiled. Cosmic bowl sucks. Went to the bowling alley today with a group of 7 people by purchasing two Groupons. One was for 6 people unlimited games for two hours. The other was for one person and two gamesCalled ahead and advised the situation. Was told each lane seats 5 people and we should come and ask for two lanes. We did exactly this and waited 40 minutes (which was not that bad). Our two lanes were available and we checked in and showed our Groupon. The man behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude and not customer service oriented. Was told that one Groupon per lane. So we had one person bowling separately. Once the two games were completed for our single bowler the lane was not used as ALL. It would not hurt not lose the bowling alley nothing financially to allow us to split the lanes equally. In fact, it would have accomplished exactly what the Groupon is for: to have returned business. We will never return due to the rudeness and lack of customer satisfaction. We would have purchased food and alcohol which would have brought in more revenue, but did not want to give them one more penny. Bad business decision on their part and should manage better. Even an employee stated they hate Groupons which explains the aggravation expressed during check in and distribution of our shoes. If you don't like Groupons don't do them. The alley is in bad shape, the shoes are very old and worn out, and the balls are all dinged up. Stay away and spend a little more to get a better experience. That's my advice. read more
