My friend and I saw great reviews for this place so we decided to try their burritos and found it to be very underwhelming. I got the veggie not chicken nugget burrito and it lacked flavour, had way too much rice and was overall just not great. I couldn't finish the burrito because it was too bland. I think if they added some sauces and had less rice, the burrito would have been better. The service was average and the interior is a standard to go restaurant.

    Smash burger with poutine.

8/10/25-Small, quaint place with a great smash burger and poutine. The younger gentlemen working was very nice. Before I left we had time to chat for a bit. I will be back to try out some of their other offerings. I would recommend for sure! Great food and staff. Thanks you!

We wanted to try poutine asap and this place showed up on the map. One of the google reviews mentioned a fried crab fries bowl but sadly it was a limited time special that I missed. Staff was nice and gave us recommendations on what to get. One of my friends messed up and got the jerk chicken. I tried it, it was pretty weird. The sauce was sour and there was a cole slaw type salad on top. They also added more of the sauce underneath the salad, so there was just too much of the weird sauce. I got the gochujiang fries and they were much better. Fried chicken chunks with a much better gochujiang sauce and aioli. However, I tried my friend's perogy poutine and I regret not getting that. It tasted like what I expected poutine to taste like, but better since it also has bacon, green onions, and mini perogies. Portions are very large, and its a pretty good deal for the price.

Been to Calgary a few times now and every time I will make it a point to come back to this deli…read more Really cool vibe in a great neighborhood. Staff are super friendly and have recommended 10/10 sandos every time. Sandwiches are LARGE. So don't come alone so you can try more than one. My favorite is hands down the chicken Caesar. Don't worry, it's not a salad. It's mostly chicken. Will be back again to try all the other sandwiches!

I'm…read morenot usually a big sandwich person, but a good foodie friend of mine said they heard the hype about Scozzafava's so I went along. No regrets. If you didn't know about this spot, you might easily pass by without a second glance. Scozzafava's serves up authentic, classic Italian sandwiches that just slap. They use a soft sesame seed bun, which probably is the most unique part of the sandwich. For their marinara sandwiches, I wish they used a thicker bun to better absorb all the sauce. The sesame bun didn't keep its integrity, sadly. The meatball marinara was glorious! Slightly spicy, super moist meatballs, slightly sweet marinara, and perfectly paired with bitterness of the rapini. Don't forget the cheese pull! We also grabbed the classic Italian deli, which was scrumptious and very filling. You can't go wrong with either option, in my opinion.

In addition to…read moresome sandwich and salad staples, they have rotating weekly features of different hot dishes and soups. On this visit, I tried the mac and cheese and beef/barley soup. The soup was warm and inviting with real beef. But, the real highlight was the mac and cheese: extra creamy made with real cheddar cheese and topped with buttery homemade croutons. For the portions provided, $10 is more than fair for well-prepared comfort food!

They offer two fresh soups every day which are clearly not canned and made from scratch. They also offer a different special every day of the week that can be supplemented with a salad or a small soup. These specials range from clubhouse sandwiches, to spring roll on vermicelli, to mac n' cheese (scratch made). One of my go-to places for lunches and as a soup connoisseur they are able to beat out most places by providing homemade soups instead of the typical generic Campbell's stuff you find in most delis. One thing I would like is for them to switch up and try their hand at making other soups because I have been here so many times the soups are getting slightly old (but still tastier and better value than Sunterra) TLDR: Soups good, specials can be good, sandwiches fresh, salad available.

What a great find!…read more We enjoyed the beet salad 10/10, beet chips 7/10, the ranch burger 8/10 , the spicy mushroom mozza burger 10/10, and the Mr. chicken panino 10/10! There is an abundant selection of beverages too. Everything was delicious and I would order them again! The service was prompt, kind and the manager made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.

The ranch burger and milkshake would of been more than enough for me (as that was a very hefty burger!) but also tried their smash browns (big potato chunks crisped up and super delicious enough to take home the remainder). I really liked the layout and lighting in the restaurant but as an added bonus, there is also a patio out back (I think you still need to go inside to order at the counter though) and free 3 hr parking for those eating there. I didn't realize about the parking until after I was done my appointment (that would of saved me from struggling with paying for parking on an old iphone that doesn't like indigo QR links...). So now I know for next trip to Calgary this is the spot to stop. Also, just an extra nod to the the two working (I believe they both were owners). Super friendly, will chat or leave you to enjoy your meal and really went the extra step with bringing out the good hot sauce and ketchup even before the meal was ready.
