The HOA meet with Russ prior to hiring them. Oh, an about that he made an appointment with a 2 hours window and showed several hours later, didn't answer his cell and he didn't call saying he was going to be late. When he finally showed up, he walked the property with an HOA board member and gave us a price to remove the rust and paint the porches. The quote was accepted by the HOA Board (about 2 weeks later), and once again he made an appointment and once again did NOT show up at the agreed time which had another 2hour window. But he did show up several hours later, I called him out about the time of the appointment and I listened to the same poor excuses. If he was going to be late the second time he should have at least called. Well, we were told that he would have his crew in here and the work would be done in THREE DAYS, barring any weather problems. The first day his crew arrived and proceeded to use drop cloths and ladders and started the process. Then the amount of people on his crew diminished from 6 to 2 then on some day only one worker. Somedays no one showed up. Needless to say the work wasn't completed in THREE Day and not in a week, but in two weeks. The downspouts were removed and NOT properly reinstalled, spilled paint on the walkway was never cleaned up, even though the worked that spilled the paint said that Russ would stop by and has something that will remove the spilled paint. That never happened. We were also advised that everything would be cleaned up. There were paint splatter on some of the unit screens, as stated spilled paint on the walkway, paint chips from the scraping were left on the ground and in the areas the work was performed never cleaned up. Some of the scraping and painting was never done properly. Remove the rust don't just paint over it, that was done in a few porches. When Russ was contacted by one of the HOA Board members he said that he wanted and additional $500. REALLY? Are we supposed to pay an additional cost to come and fix the problems you left because you underestimated the cost of the project? If anyone is going to hire this company, Street Appeals make sure you get everything in writing! All the details as small as they might be, and to better protect yourself add this "TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE, to any and all agreements or contracts with this company. We had our house pressure washed along with our roof cleaned yesterday and we are very happy with the results. Until we met with Russ for an estimate we didn't realize how dirty one area of our roof was and now it looks almost new. Douglas was very thorough and worked almost 8 hours with only a 10 minute lunch break. We are also going to have our driveway sealed in the spring. Attention to detail made my home look 20 years younger. They got on top of my 15 year old roof and their eco friendly power wash removed all traces of black streaks caused by nature. They removed gutter covers and cleared out 10 years of sludge and replaced covers. They power washed my wood porches restoring them to their original color, dried, and sealed. Street Appeal Pros brings house power washing to a new level. Seeing green mold and missing shingles on my home was very discouraging. My past experience with power washing though inexpensive was done by a cheerful fellow who left behind light fixtures full of water that then did not work, pulp litter from shingles all over and a lightly cleaned deck. John and his crew explained the process with eco-friendly products. They not only did a thorough cleaning but sealed the shingles for about 10 yr protection. And All pulp was removed. Shingles even at roofline were replaced. My skylights were washed clean. My badly stained deck has new life. Not even my outdoor thermometer was disturbed. After the job was completed I was unable to unscrew the hose from the outlet. John promptly returned to fix this and rolled up my hose for winter.
