I have around 30 tattoos, I got one done about two weeks ago, the artist was a very kind larger man super easy to talk too, the art itself was mediocre but I'm full of just alright tattoos I'm not too upset with that. The one issue is after about day 3 I started noticing red pimples on the tattoo even tho I'm very good with aftercare. I'm not saying it's the shops fault it could be the ink used or a possible hair follicle that caused this but an abscess occurred around 1.5 weeks in. I currently have a hole in my leg as of right now. read more

It has been many years since I got my last tat, but I was very ready for my next piece. My way of finding an artist is to ask people whose ink I like where they got the work done, and by which artist. That's how I found Street Road No Scratch Tattoos. One note: When you drive to No Scratch, be aware that there is another tattoo shop on the same street several blocks away. I initially pulled into the wrong shop, so check the address carefully. The shop itself is spacious, fun, and absolutely spotless. I arrived slightly early for my appointment, and found that the artist that I had selected and made the appointment with was out sick. After a brief internal debate (I was REALLY ready to get this piece done), I decided to see if any of the other artists were available. Lady luck was smiling at me that day, because Mo Mags (Monica), had an opening and could squeeze me in. Mo was extremely attentive to what I wanted, and she made multiple adjustments to the design to ensure that it was exactly perfect. The price she quoted was extremely fair, and her work came out beautifully. Mo's attention to detail and absolutely sterile work ethic is both impressive and very reassuring. I absolutely couldn't be happier with my new ink, and have already started working with Mo for my next piece. Mo is professional, extremely talented, fun, and she made the experience a pleasure. I'm updating my review, because frankly when I wrote my first one I was upset and angry. I apologize. My first tattoo there was great, Nason was very nice and accommodating and friendly to myself and my friend. I believe he has his own shop now. When I received my flower tattoo along with text, the text was discussed with me, and the artist had shown me some pictures of the flower I wanted and said "this is it right" and that's the extent that he asked about clarification as to what I wanted for a tattoo. Maybe he took that as my consenting to being okay with whatever he came up with, I should've spoken up more. I appreciate his attempt and his idea was solid, but the result was not what I had wanted, and the flower tattoo doesn't look much like the actual flower, and the circles inside were uneven and some slanted. The sides curved instead of round. The words, however, were exactly what I had wanted, in the text from the show the word is from. My friends and I had been concerned because the artist seemed off, constantly repeating himself multiple times and seeming generally out of it. My friends had thought he was high, frankly, and so did I. Obviously there's no way we could've known that for sure, he could've just been having an off day or something, but the way he was acting was something the four of us had all noticed. When they were healing, my flower was had pus and was hurting me, not because I wasn't taking care of it, because I know how to take care of a tattoo, but because the artist had overworked it. He had gone over the flower about four times and the words twice (maybe). When my friends and I went back to the shop to ask about it, and myself, the people there that we spoke with made it seem like I was just being silly and that the flower part of my tattoo didn't look as bad as I was saying, but also said that it was probably overworked, and that the same had happened to the artist I was talking to, that she had just had it happen to one of her own tattoos fairly recently at that time (they also did say he was working at the other site at the time and I could always go over and talk to him there or come back another time, but I was too anxious to have him work on me again). The blue parts of my flower had splotches in them, and some of the white dots along the edges faded. I know that white tattoos don't always stay well, but I didn't know that at the time when he was tattooing me. Maybe they couldn't see it because of the lighting in the waiting room, who knows. Despite my experience, I know that my ex friend had a great one with another artist, Monica, despite her feeling like she was overpaying. They had spoken upon a price and agreed on it, and then the artist had changed her mind after the first session and upped the price. I'm sure it was because of the detail in the tattoo. If you want a good tattoo, chances are you're going to have to pay a lot. read more

Went in to get some ink tonight with my man. The shop was clean & the service good. Boo gave us a reasonable price for what we wanted done. I got my mans name on my arm & he got my name on his neck. The quality of the work was very good & even though I was a complete pain in the ass with what lettering I wanted & the exact location of where I wanted the tattoo placed, Boo was still very professional. He has a very light touch compared to other tattoo artists I have gotten ink from. I love my new ink & its healing great. read more

The artist was very, very patient with my ol'lady. I would have been thinking of a spot in the woods and looking for my lucky shovel if I were him. Price was pretty friendly as well. I notice most of the bad reviews are old so maybe those artists left. Fred is the best. You can get him a bad idea and he will make it good. He's honest and a great guy to talk to about anything and everything. I didn't know wether to pay him for the tattoo or a therapy session. My tattoo came out BETTER than what I expected. Place is the cleanest shop I've ever been too and all the artists there seem awesome and they all interact. It's like going to a friends house to get a tattoo and I'm a wuss about tattoos. This is the ONLY place I will ever go or recommend. Fred also did a cover up on my wife's arm that other shops wouldn't touch and she gets compliments daily. I've been going to see Fred for about 4 years now. I've had people tattoo me before, but after going to Fred? Never again. The shop itself is clean, everyone is friendly and helpful. You feel at home, which is a big thing for me. All too often I feel tattoo shops look down on you as soon as you walk in. Fred is an incredible artist. I've brought him many ideas and he always rocks out something better than I ever imagined. I've had friends and family go get work by him and they all say the same thing. Plus, he's fun as hell to talk to. So when I'm sitting for 3+ hours getting tattooed, it never gets boring. Definitely my favorite shop. read more

I just tatooed at No Scratch Street Road Tattoo by Fred Lancello & this is my 5th tattoo by him at that shop. They are very cleanly everything is use once & disposed. I watched everything for my session prepped & sterile directly in front of me. The safe is very pleasant & welcoming. My artist appreciates when i come in with an idea even if vaguely fleshed out & we collaborate together at every step of the way. I never feel pressured & they've never attempted to convince me of more or less unless its placement & even then everything its my final call. So in the end if I leave & am dismayed (which I've never been)... its all on me. You pay for what you get & visa versa. The shop is fair pricing. But you're paying for one of a kind talent & art. However, there is one step up inside so wheelchair a manual could pop up, but I'm unsure how of if the bathroom is accessible in the since a manual chair can get in. Other than that major props, but the staff is friendly & helpful & Fred is understanding of potential needed assistance (still a portable ramp would be awesome) read more

My wife , daughter and I all had work done one weekend. I wasn't happy with a few minor details of my work. The artist forgot opne area of color to fill in and went out of the lines on bottom of work . I went back 2x"s the manager (young girl) very rude blew me off the first time and the guy who did the work blew me off the second time instead of just fixing his error. The guy was a super nice guy he just didn't wanna fix work . Which was clearly his mistake. My wife"s work has a crooked letter. Place could be a bit cleaner also. I will go somewhere else to get this fixed for sure. I spent over $ 600 You think they would of went out of there way to make me happy. It"s not the last work we will ever get done.
