I found Don Rudolph - owner of the Winter Park Driving Academy, LLC thru the DMV listing for driving schools in Seminole County. Don has over 10 years of driving instruction experience. Originally certified in Defensive Driving Instruction by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council, Don has also completed additional training in Police Pursuit driving instruction through the New England State Police Area. The mission of WPDA is to provide behind the wheel driving instruction with the purpose of developing the highest level of driving skills to the student. We signed up for the Four Lesson (6hr) Defensive Driving Program as this was all the time we had before his appointment for his driving test. (There is also options for Six Lessons - 9hrs, Eight Lessons -12hrs, 10hr Night Driving, hourly sessions and also rental of the Academy vehicle for the road exam at the DMV. Don came out to our house in his dual control vehicle and had my son drive from the house for his lesson. Don gave us an information sheet on what was required for the exam and also the documents that the DMV now require for licensing (US Birth Cert or US Passport, SSCard, 2 proofs of residence). We noticed straight away that Don was a calm, well presented, polite man that put us at ease. After his first session with Don we noticed a marked improvement in my son's driving skills and I no longer felt anxious to have him drive me to practice outside of his lessons, with each session my son improved dramatically. He passed his driving test first try and was extremely pleased. Don turned out to be the right choice for us and I would highly recommend him to anyone starting out or wishing to improve their driving skills.

George was amazing in getting them prepared for the road test and I definitely recommend this school. George was patient and was very helpful in getting them up to snuff with driving. He came right to the house, picked them up and took them on the road. It was not only convenient, but it was not badly priced either. Though they are in Orange City, they came out to Daytona Beach to pick up each of the boys for their respective lessons. I will give them a solid five stars and they definitely have my recommendation. If you need to get someone driving lessons, this is the driving school to choose.

I was a student here for 9 years. Let me tell you that this place is THE definition of deception…read more They may try to make you think it's the greatest school ever with their pretty entrance and their giant campus, but nothing could be further from the truth. What your student will actually receive is a way below par education that the intention behind it is to put them in a position of hopefully mooching off the government (which it's government run, so what do you expect?), rather than teaching them about how to handle the real world. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. IF your student is a dorm student, prepare for them to be subjected to staff members who have no idea how to handle students with disabilities who enforce strict military type guidelines and will subject them to constant verbal abuse and if they're really unlucky, they'll even throw in some physical violence too. I even know about multiple sexual abuses that happened here on top of multiple suicide attempts amongst students and staff members. Seriously, I could write a whole book about what I saw there in my 9 years in this concentration camp. FSDB doesn't care about its students, just it's image, and I'm working to expose it for what it really is.

The teachers are not actually certified, and they will lie like it's no tomorrow. They have a focus on life skills and not education so if you don't want your child to get a diploma have at it. They understand your child being behind and disabled allows them to capitalize on additional funding to no end!! My child was told the school in our county was the problem and how we would see SO MUCH PROGRESS 3 years later my child is still in the same performance category she was before coming here. On top of not providing the materials these lying fools had the nerve to sit in an IEP meeting collectively claiming items purchased by the family on Amazon. Ellen the principal is so unprofessional doesn't respond to communication. When I called them out on the lies and pulled my receipts they had a blind girl who can't read sign a form saying they gave her the items like that actually holds weight lol what a way to abuse and manipulate. My daughter can't even read she said she was handed a form to print her name on it and the form states she received items yet I was verbally told they are school property. Beware find you a school that cares more about paychecks and begging for funding by making the children desperate failures.
