I did google searches. Everything. I hate standard wedding photography. Crap that looks overly posed and nasty. And then I cam across Michelle on the last day I could look for a photographer - my husband, then fiance, said I had until the end of February or we were going with his first choice. I looked through her website, and oh bolly bolly oh my golly! SHE is what I had been searching for. Gorgeous shots of people, nothing overly posed, every shot looking like a dear friend took the picture. They captured the essence of each individual and I felt like I was there, like I understood how the people in the pictures felt. That was all I needed, I sent out an email. Two seconds later, Michelle had responded. Here was a vendor who was used to using technology, she told me I could contact her on gchat and since our schedules were packed we could conference call our first meeting. I nearly cried. The day of the teleconference came. The only question I really had was, do you make any provisions for military, what if my husband got deployed unexpectedly. She reassured me, we would not lose our money, she would hold onto it and reschedule. She also reassured me that she would shoot until every last major event in the wedding was captured. She wouldn't just take off. That was it, we hired her on the spot. We also hired her (for an insanely reasonsable fee - think Crazy Eddy sells electronics) for our engagement shoot. We wanted her to get to know us and vice versa. She was amazing and incredibly fun to work with. We were all geared up for our wedding in 2008 when the worst news came through, my husband was being called up for service early. We had to postpone everything. I was running around contacting vendors, family, bridal party. Trying not to melt down, and when I called Michelle she was so sweet and understanding. When we rescheduled our wedding for late in 2009, I called Michelle. She was so excited to work with us again. And so was I. She is so incredibly professional - Annie and Bill were out of town on the day of my wedding so she asked her friend David Esquire to fill in. I never even knew that there was a problem. She just handled it, like a dream vendor. Again, on the day of the wedding, Michelle was professional as can be. She was there on time, and even tolerated the fact that I didn't get her her shots list until that morning. She was funny and energetic (a difficult feat when it is raining and so cold you can see your breath and it is an outdoor wedding). She was like a ninja, I don't ever remember seeing her, but when she gave me the pictage link to our wedding photos, there were all these amazing shots she had taken. She took these amazing shots of us too, posed me perfectly, hid flaws played up assets. Honestly, I don't think of Michelle as my vendor. I think of her as a friend. Every major photo op I have in life will be shot by her or her studio. Heck I even added her on facebook. If you pass her by for another studio (maybe with the exception of Esquire Photography because David was pretty cool himself) you are a total fool. Studio Z will capture your wedding day exactly as you saw it, exactly as you experienced. And really, isn't that what a photographer is supposed to do?

I found Nea Visuals through our venue's IG account and I am so glad I stumbled across their…read moreaccount. We always knew photography was a non-negotiable for our wedding but thought videography would be too much of a luxury for us. Nea Visual was having a promo at the time and we were able to book both photography and videography for a very reasonable price. Less than a month after we booked them for our wedding, we decided to move up our date by a few months and they were thankfully able to adjust the date for us with no issues at all. On the wedding day, Jennea and Christian arrived at the venue exactly when they needed to be and they began their work right away. We had a pretty tight schedule but we were able to make everything work the best that we could. We had a first look and some quick couple photos prior to ceremony. We only had about 45 guests and got through group photos fairly quick so we had extra time to take more couple photos. At the reception, our schedule was shifting all the time but they went with the flow and was always present. We got our sneak peaks and a short video the next evening and it was beautiful! It took about 4 weeks for the full gallery to be sent to us and they delivered nearly 500 photos and our wedding video. A USB was mailed to us with raw footage of the wedding shortly after we received our gallery. We love our photos and it was so special to relive our wedding day through the videos. We are so grateful to Jennea and Christian for their kindness and professionalism all throughout the process. Can't wait to see all the beautiful work they'll continue to make in the future!

I remember when we toured our venue for the first time and we weren't able to see the getting ready…read morerooms, so I went on google and searched for photos and a blog post from 1985Luke Photography popped up. As I was looking through the photos from their blog post, I started tearing up like crazy and was hoping that our photos would come out something close to theirs. Funnily enough, I didn't know that they would be the most recommended photographer for our venue. I remember going back and forth due to the price, but you do get the both of them (Luke and Bre) for 8 hours, and we actually added an additional hour as well so we could get photo coverage of our first dance. Although my husband's parents covered the cost of photography, I would've happily paid for it because of how incredible our photos came out, and our overall experience working with them. I first met Bre over a video call and she was so kind and easy to talk to that I felt like our hour-long consultation went by so quickly. We did our engagement photoshoot at Filoli (I was running 30 minutes behind due to a last-minute hair & makeup addition), and they still waited for us on a VERY hot day, which I greatly appreciated. My husband and I were both a little nervous since neither one of us had done a professional photoshoot before, but Luke and Bre really made the two of us very comfortable the entire time, and we absolutely loved our engagement photos. Fast forward to our wedding day, they came in and knew exactly what to do since they've worked at our venue so many times before. I really liked how they weren't all up in our faces during our wedding, and I genuinely feel like I didn't notice them at all. As an events person myself, I absolutely loved the timeline that Bre sent over - it was so helpful to see the schedule for the day and every time I thought we were falling behind, Bre reassured us that we weren't. We received our wedding photos back in less than a month (so quick!) and I was surprised to receive over 1,600 photos. We almost didn't hire professional photographers and I am so grateful we did. I can't imagine not having our amazing photos (which they provided to us SUPER quick after the wedding!!). Bre was so informative, understanding, and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted. It's so easy to work with Bre, she is incredibly sweet. She and Luke are excellent planners. Perhaps the best part was how calm and helpful they were on the day of the wedding. Bre and Luke kept us on track according to the timeline we gave them, which was beyond helpful because we didn't have a wedding planner. I credit Luke and Bre for our wedding going so well. After we were married and were walking back down the aisle, I had a weird moment of panic since everyone was staring at us and I asked Luke "where do we go? what do we do now?!" and he calmly said "just go inside", with a smile. Sounds strange but that put me at such ease! Again, I can't say enough about how sweet Luke and Bre are and how lucky I am that they were available for my wedding. I hope to work with them again.
