The bathrooms are fine also. The gym equipment (the reason I joined) is pretty awesome. I've been lifting for 50 years, and the newer machines in the marketplace are just amazing. The Smith machines at Rebirth are the smoothest I've ever used, although they should get one more as they are always busy. Of course, it gets crowded, but I lift with the intention of "keep moving" so I can always find something to use if a certain machine is being used. And a polite "how many sets left" usually helps in the wait time. I do agree with two comments. It's not well lit and with the black walls and ceiling makes for a dreary atmosphere. And the music is just AWFUL. 99% of the people have headphones listening to their own music, yet the volume is completely off-putting. Better music at a lower volume and a brighter atmosphere and it's 5 stars. So far, I recommend this place. Lastly, the people are absolutely great. So helpful and nice. The ladies at the front desk are fantastic. Not a bad egg in the bunch. If you are kind and polite, they respond appropriately.

They are polite. The gym is always clean. The maintenance staff are also nice and smile at people. The pool is very clean and nice. The steam room and jacuzzi are in the locker rooms. The women's locker room has complimentary hair dryers. The bathrooms are always clean. Thers a lot of space in the locker room The weight room area is huge. Members put things away after use. There is stairs to go use the cardio machines. There's a studio room where there is different classes all week long. There is also a pool class. In the studio room, there's free weights that anyone can freely use. There is mats that are provided. There is also hand sanitizing wipes. The water fountain has a filtered water bottle sensor. I am so grateful I signed up at LA Fitness in La Verne. I found something very special here.

The 4 racquetball courts are fully functional with all ceilings lights working. Rare in NY, NJ and Fl. There are ample hand wipe stations that are placed throughout and always stocked. Thank you to their stellar maintenance personnel. The steam room is alive and working. The sauna is hot, hot, HOT!!! The dumbbells stay in the weight area and are reracked. No treasure hunt needed. The members are chill. The front desk - happy, warm and on the ball. There is lots of free and convenient parking. The best - the GM Jeremiah - we had a situation on Thursday 01/01/25 where a racquetball player from Chino collapsed on the court. Jeremiah stepped up - the ambulance was there in less than 2 minutes and the FD in 4. He stayed with our friend and us throughout and ensured all was well. He reached out to the member at home and updated us on his condition and status today. Jeremiah consistently gets a trophy for top sales in the area/region. I've gone to other locations too but this one is by far my favorite and feels the least cramped. I specifically go to this location because I do the group fitness class with Diane. My coworkers and I all got memberships because of Diane's classes! I don't understand how she doesn't have more days at this location or any other location. Overall, the LaVerne location is spacious, clean, and welcoming. It is very rare that the saunas are out of commission and if you come often enough the friendly staff will come to recognize you. Suggestions for improvements for the La Verne location: - My coworker has to pick up her children 5 minutes before our group fitness class ends. This is a pretty sucky policy. If a mother is coming to a gym to relieve stress at least allow her to finish her class to the end. It's not a family friendly policy at all. ********** - Replace the bikes (front row) in the theater room with more treadmills. I can't tell you how many times I see people walking out because all of the treadmills are taken but the bike row is completely empty. - Add one more rack of dumbbell weights in the outdoor area. The bathrooms and men's locker room are absolutely disgusting and I wish there was a better way to put that, but, there isn't. This franchise is just horrible now and clearly, nobody cares about the state of the gyms anymore. Officially have canceled my 24 membership, and will most likely join a private/small chain franchise. All these corporate owned gyms honestly couldn't care less about their facilities having standards.
