Happiness Yoga really does feel like a family. Sunita and Shaishav are always smiling and happy to…read morewelcome new people, so making friends here is easy. Another really important aspect of this studio is that all physical health concerns are considered during practice- they really make yoga accessible for everyone! People of all ages, faiths, and ability levels attend classes here. If you are hesitant about yoga, please know that you DO NOT have to be flexible to come here. I have never felt judged. You will learn a lot about the origins and traditions of Yoga, and they offer your first class free. I've practiced yoga on and off for years now, both at home and at other studios in the NOVA area, but I finally found a place that has inspired me to practice seriously this time around.

I used to practice yoga very regularly, and go to the gym very often, but I've been out of that regimen for quite some time; now I get winded walking up a long flight of stairs, and the gentle yoga class makes me feel like I'm going to die. Being that I am in in such poor shape, it's pretty intimidating to start working out again. But I feel really comfortable here, the instructors work with you and you get individualized attention based on your own capabilities. I bought a few classes on Groupon after going to the free trial class offered online, and I will be purchasing more.

I've attended classes at another Club Pilates location, and the experience was much more welcoming, supportive, and customer-focused. My impression is that this location may be overbooked, which seems to contribute to a negative customer experience. On one occasion, I arrived just one minute late and was told my spot had already been given away, despite what I understood to be a five-minute grace period policy. When I questioned the decision, the staff's response felt unprofessional and dismissive rather than helpful. While the instructors are good, the overall atmosphere and customer service make it difficult to enjoy the experience.

I don't enjoy writing negative reviews, so I want to be clear: this review is about the business…read moreoperations -- not the instructors. The teachers are excellent. The studio is clean. Instruction quality is 5 out of 5. My issue is access and management. This location consistently overbooks classes. I purchased an 8-class-per-month membership and repeatedly struggled to get into classes. I initially raised this concern in November after realizing I could not consistently secure spots within my general availability window (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.). The guidance I was given was to book classes two weeks in advance and join waitlists. While that may work for some, it is unrealistic for many adults managing work and family responsibilities. Expecting members to plan their schedules two weeks out just to access what they've already paid for is not practical. Because credits do not roll over, I lost unused credits in November and December. In January, the same issue continued -- and while weather-related cancellations are understandable, I was again unable to use what I paid for. Out of 24 classes I attempted to take during my membership period, I was only able to complete 11. That is not even half of the sessions purchased. When I submitted my 30-day cancellation notice in December, I expressed openness to private lessons as a way to work within my schedule. I received zero follow-up on that option. The most disappointing experience occurred at the end of January as I was wrapping up my membership. After requesting a concession due to the inability to access classes, I was initially told via text that none would be offered. Later, I received a call offering a temporary concession for the following month. However, if the underlying overbooking issue remains, that does not resolve the core problem. More concerning was the tone of the final conversation. It felt condescending and dismissive, particularly when referencing my responsibilities as a working mother. Members should not feel shamed for having a schedule. If someone is paying for a membership, reasonable access to classes should not feel competitive. I would encourage prospective members to read reviews carefully and take them with a grain of salt. Incentives or concessions in exchange for positive reviews raise legitimate transparency concerns. That matters. Everything stated in this review is factual, and I have documentation to support it. Again, the instructors are strong. The operational model -- overselling memberships beyond realistic class capacity -- is the issue. I ultimately did not receive the value of what I paid for.
