I have tried everything from Physical therapy to trigger point injections and lots of meds. Finally a doctor told me about Tindle and Associates and I booked an appt. ASAP! I was put with Indika for body work and Catherine for Pilates. OMG I never thought that my back would feel this good ever again. Indika works miracles on the table and has never hurt me while messaging me like almost all others had. I even sent my husband to her for a visit and she fixed him right up. Catherine is such an amazing Pilate's instructor! I have been doing Pilates for a few months with her and I always get a great work out and I am able to move my body in ways that I never thought possible again. She is always watching and giving great instructions and reminders on technique. The prices here are very reasonable. I can't imagine my life with out Tindle and associates in it. I would recommend them to anyone!

I went full-force with a great gym --just not great for me given my seven-year break and back issues, and managed to injure myself to the point where it hurt to walk. I came to my senses, did what I should have years ago, and started working out at Train for the Game. I've been seeing Kyler Brown and Jordan Pellien and the other awesome doctors at Austin Sports Therapy for about 3 years for my back injury, but never considered working out at the gym RIGHT THERE. The coaches push me but also have insight into my back issues bc they've talked to the doctors and know what modifications to give me. They pay attention and guide me through the group workouts. The only negatives are that the gym is full of HS football players at 5 pm, and there are no classes on Sundays.

Facility: awesome amount of open space featuring a narrow, yet long patch of turf for running and…read moreworkouts, lots of dumbbells, vipr's, ropes, dynamax balls, and keiser cable machines. This is not a typical membership gym setup, it's setup for classes. Classes: this was not a positive experience. I came in for a trial class and was given a great workout by Dan. The next time I came in I had a different trainer and she was negative and unfriendly. Then, my next 3 workouts at this facility were ALL the SAME! So, within 10 days time and 4 classes later I had done pushups, sandbell slams, lunges, and squats in every single workout with a few other exercises mixed in. The same muscles were being worked and getting quite fatigued. The workouts lacked variety and it seemed the trainers were just facilitators and not designing the workouts. They explained to me that their workouts stay the same for an entire month, which is not conducive to developing all ten fitness components nor injury prevention. I was never asked about injuries or if I needed to modify by any of the trainers. I will say, while there was hardly ever anyone at the front desk, a couple of trainers remembered my name (except for the one unfriendly trainer) and engaged me in conversation while I was walking around during my visits. The general manager was great about listening to my concerns and admitted that they're a new business in every sense. For the money, you can get much better service and customized workouts at other places. I ended up getting my money back for my month trial after trying 5-6 classes. I've had several trainers and coaches in my fitness career, so I have high standards. Beginners may find these classes to be challenging and correct, but I think those that are experienced will find the holes in their programming. Luckily, I've found the workout spot I was looking for, it's just not at Train for the Game.

I want to give a review as a student from both the past and the present at this establishment. My…read moreexperience with Master Martial Arts and Master Sam Um has been nothing short of incredible. I originally started practicing Taekwondo here when I was much younger, early through late middle school. I was always engaged in every aspect of the class: Master Um makes an unbelievable effort to ensure every student of his is properly trained and gets individual attention throughout the class time to heighten their skills. When I reached highschool, I stopped after achieving a red belt due to my schedule not fitting, but had always wanted to go back and continue training because the classes were so fun and useful. Now, at age 21 and a full time student in college, I have returned to train in TaekwonYusul. From my understanding, "Taekwon" means "striking" and "Yusul" means grappling. Master Um has created a new hybrid of the traditional martial arts (Taekwondo, Gonkwon Yusul, Brazillian Ju Jitsu, Judo) labeled TaekwonYusul to emphasize it's heightened practicality over other single-focus arts. This is hands-down one of the most effective and useful martial arts I've discovered through my years of experience, and incorporates techniques from other martial arts that just WORK. I would say that TaekwonYusul is more of a taditional style mixed martial art, which gives it an advantage over most other options. The classes are structured, we spar with padding and safety equipment every class, and you will 100% be accomadated to whatever skill level you start at. With my Taekwondo background helping in the striking areas, I was surprised by how quickly I was finding myself retaining grappling techniques. All of the other students are wonderful and very helpful, often offering to teach you more in depth technique if you seem to be having a hard time grasping any concepts. I was very surprised to learn that TaekwonYusul hasn't been proffessionally recognized as a new martial art, but I have no doubt that in a few years this will be practiced by gyms accross the world. As for Master Um, he is one of the best teachers and coaches I've had throughout my life, always attentive and eager to teach and ready to demonstrate a technique the moment you have a question. His credibility is unbelieveable, having over 40 years of experience with martial arts and winning many competitions for Taekwondo in his youth. He's trained over 5,000 students, and that figure is from when I was a kid. I just want to say that if you read this whole thing, please consider joining. It might be the most exciting and engaging thing you get to look forward to going to after school or work. Thank you Master Um, I look forward to continuing my training. Thanks for reading, Yelp!
