It was on my Dental Insurance...yea! Unfortunately, I'd just had a cleaning at my former dentist. So it would be awhile before I saw them. But stuff happens. A new implant's plug that covers the screw fell out. Argh! So, I called Muzny & they were very nice. Got me in quickly. The office is very nice. The people are personable & open. I was seen quickly. I like that a lot. My issue was checked & the solution shown to me. I was happy with it. Just a note: you pay for what you get. I was in & out in 30 min! I'm looking forward to my first real appointment. I'm expecting great results based on the superb handling of this emergency. I definitely picked the right dentist!! *********** Update: I had recommended Muzny's practice to a close friend. However, in spite of them checking her insurance, they set an appointment before she was due. My friends first clue was a bill from the practice. Even though Muzny made the mistake, its my friend who has to pay. This does not define a professional practice to me. So, while I had no issues on my visit; I've lost confidence on allowing them to deal with my insurance & appointments. So, I'm looking for a new dentist practice. I might have picked the right dentist. I just didn't pick the right practice.

Then to have the check out chick make some snarky comment about my exam results and treatments needed was BEYOND. Are you even supposed to know all that???? Lmfao absolutely pathetic display, it's been a while since I've been to the dentist, but I'll just go back to my previous office. They didn't overcharge me or have poor service people that make unnecessary, ugly comments.

Don't see Dr. Helen Sergerie at Sagewood Dental for a serious problem, she can't do anything. At…read moreleast that's what she told me! About 6 mos ago,I came in for a cleaning and check up, which was fine. A week later I developed severe pain in a back molar that already had a root canal. Dr. Helen Sergerie diagnosed an infection and prescribed an antibiotic and told me the only tx was to pull the tooth. I asked her multiple times, isn't there any way to save the tooth? No, she said , it must be pulled and sent me to an oral surgeon. I was told the surgery involved IVs, implants, tooth replacements and 6 mos before I would be finished. I went home to consider and took the antibiotics for 4 days and when I was still having pain, I called Dr. Helen Sergerie to ask if another antibiotic would be more effective. She said, Sorry, there's nothing more I can do. Wow, never got that from a Dr before! I finished taking the antibiotics and every day used alot of Listerine and the infection with its pain went away. I wasn't sure about all that other tx so waited to see how the tooth did. 6 mos later, no problems but I needed another teeth cleaning so stupid me, went back to Sagewood. Yup. Got another infection with that same tooth. Well I couldn't believe that my tooth couldn't be saved so I went to my previous dentist at Sterling Ridge Dental. One look and Dr Cope said, absolutely, that tooth can be saved! He sent me to Advanced Clinical Endodontics, (ACE) and sure enough they performed a re-root canal and prescribed strong antibiotics and finally cleared up the infection and fixed the problem with the tooth. One day! Not 6 mos! Stay away from the revenue focused, Dr. Helen Sergerie.

I do not dispute the skill of the dentists I have used, and I have been absolutely more than happy…read morewith both Dr. Solomon and Dr. Sergerie as dentist. They are both very meticulous in everything they do. However, their billing department is less than ethical. Do not ever take their word for what you may owe after insurance is applied, even if they say that they ran it before your visit and are sure that the amount you are paying will cover the bill. Before my child's appointment, I had them run not one, but two, insurance coverages, so that on the appointment day I would have a true balance. The office personnel who handled this for me told me I was probably over-paying a bit for these services, but I went ahead and paid them close to $2,000 (after all, they told me that they had run both insurances, and this would be close to the amount that would be owed). Six months later, I get a bill for almost $350. At first, I thought this was just a mistake or some lag in either insurance payment or accounting. I know this can happen. For months a notice simply showed up through text message- no call, no explanation for the payment request, nothing to explain what had happened after such a long lag. Of course, I would not have normally expected a personalized call over invoicing but given the lengths I went to (since it was such an expensive visit) in order to ensure it was budgeted for, this bothered me. Finally, I picked up the phone and called them. They said they would look into it and call me back. No return call. The month passed and so I believed it had been resolved through insurance- a mistake, but, again, a text message for an unpaid invoice arrived. I immediately called the office to find out what had happened. The office person put me on hold and then returned to tell me that one of the insurances did not pay and I owed the invoiced amount. This being in direct contradiction to what the girl had told me when she originally reached out to both insurances to verify payment before services were even rendered. Sagewood Dental did not lose my business because of skill, but because of unethical business practices. I will not use any company that lies to me in order to perform services and then comes back six months later, plus, to collect more money- especially when the customer service and explanation have been handled so unprofessionally.

I was extremely nervous after commencing this process with another Dental Facility in 2019 fighting periodontal bone disease; and was still getting fitted for full mouth implants in 2024, with a smile I was embarrassed of. Emotionally and mentally I was exhausted, I could not continue. I began covering my mouth to eat, couldn't speak properly, and I was losing sleep. I felt hopeless. My first encounter was with Bailey, who is the patient education consultant; she puts you at ease with her friendliness; then Fernando, his expertise in measurements; then Diamond (shining star), who was so patient with me; and Dr. Andreina Sananez, my prosthodontist, Just loved her, she was so kind and professional. This staff put my needs first and made me feel like I was their priority. When the finals were put in, I met Kelly, who made sure I was happy with my new smile. I had to wipe away tears. Now I smile all the time, they look great, feel great and I am so very grateful to each and everyone at ClearChoice. Virginia Mallette
