Lots of wine and some cool pictures.

Met the owner when we got in and he gave us the rundown of how things work. It was already after 10pm (closing time) but there was still a crowd and he welcomed us in. "It doesn't look like we will be closing at 10, come on in and enjoy".

Cozy space, fantastic service. Tasty food & wine. Our server Noah was great. 3 of us shared the lovely (large) charcuterie board, along with a bottle of Italian pinot grigio & the Pinot Parfait wine flight. An additional cabernet I tried to order had been replaced with a different one I was unfamiliar with. So Noah generously offered to bring me a tasting of it before I ordered. Love this place and the adjacent wine shop.

I'm not a big drinker so I came for the food when my friends wanted to come here. I do think the setup of how you can pour your own wines is nice. Everyone who worked there was super nice! I got the steak because it was "the best steak ever" according to my friend. She wasn't too wrong. It was delicious and I had fun cooking it myself! But whatever you do, you HAVE to order the spinach and artichoke dip! I normally hate it but it's almost garlic-y and was the best thing! Even the flatbreads my friends got looked delicious! Pricey but that's because I'm cheap!

Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy Ram Cat Cellars. Their wine, bourbon and food selection is amazing. The Old Fashioned (smoked), flatbreads, meatballs..all a must

Not only it was on my birthday in which we celebrated. But our excursion to the mountains for the long weekend was a fantastic time. As you can see through the pictures we really went all the way my dish was as abundance of seafood that you could have with an amazing cioppino sauce that was also soppable with crusty garlic bread. The beverages were on point, they have a great menu of bourbons. Will not disappoint. As a surprise they gave me a flourless chocolate Bundt cake to take home with a candle. Being with the family is always a warm unforgettable experience. There is something to be said about being surrounded by people who care and love so much. I'm in bliss. Until next time ...

For drinks, the Sweater Weather was the clear winner--well-balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The combination of Bulleit rye, La Pommiere Calvados, and sorghum created a smooth, seasonal cocktail with nice depth. The Properly Poached was decent but didn't quite impress in the same way; the Brugal Añejo, pear liqueur, dark wildflower honey, and pink salt made for an interesting profile, though it leaned a bit flat compared to the first cocktail. We started with the broiled sweet crab dip served fondue-style with pita chips, which was a great opener. It was warm, creamy, and rich, with good crab flavor that made it easy to keep going back for more. For entrées, the blackened mahi fish tacos were fresh and flavorful. The mango pico added a nice brightness, and the cilantro crema tied everything together nicely on the corn tortillas. The smash burger was another solid choice--juicy double patties with melted American cheese, crispy onion rings, house sauce, and house-made pickles that added a great tangy crunch. Service was ok waitress took a bit to bring the drinks and then the food took about 30+ minutes luckily we were entertained by talking to locals that we really weren't concerned. Overall, the restaurant delivers a pleasant upscale-casual dining experience with well-executed comfort favorites and creative cocktails. Definitely worth a visit, especially for the crab dip and the Sweater Weather cocktail and the fish tacos those were my overall favorites. Prices are mid range. Note that the restaurant as most restaurants in the Blue Ridge close early.

This is a sandwich and salad lunch place, and there were several plausible options for vegetarians and vegans. My order came with a side and I added a cookie. Ice cups were out for a self-serve collection of tea (sweet or unsweet), lemonade, and water at no extra charge. My mushroom-heavy toasted sandwich delivered on flavor, with a rosemary olive oil bread contrasting the massive amount of mushrooms and a zippy romesco inside. For a side, I received a garlicky hummus with pita. My cookie was a slightly odd texture, but it did round out the experience and keep me full for an outdoor day. It was quick, easy, had options for most diets, was a nice place to eat, and on top of that I got out for a price I couldn't believe. To be fair, if I weren't in middle of nowhere South Carolina I'm sure there's no way I get that meal for under $20 at current rates, but I had no problem stopping here on the way to the mountains, and I doubt there was any better lunch option for a long way in any direction.
